I booked Adina I believe in 2018 and she is not only professional but she is sweet, humble, and genuine. She worked with us every step and hurdle the pandemic caused. Meaning canceled venues, pushed wedding dates, special requests and even changed wedding design. I can't relay enough of my gratitude to her and her team. When the day of happened all that I dreamed of came to life. She worked with our budget and was realistic with us on what was worth getting to achieve the look and experience we wanted on our special day. All of our guests not only loved the venue, which is one of the exclusive venues of Event Loft, but they said the food and staff were impeccable. We have guests that continue to tell us that the venue was a gem to find and that everything was well scheduled. We booked everything with Event loft, except for the DJ and sofreh designer. She was very kind to the other vendors and helped them when needed. We have the most memorable photos, video and the flowers were beautiful and excellent quality. Also the photobooth and lighting company she refers you to is owned by her, kinda suspicious. Day of the party, she used the wrong seating chart and I had to leave the party to fix her mistake and move guests around. Unacceptable. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, she took no ownership and blamed us for last minute changes to the seating chart. The chart was finalized weeks prior to the event. Maybe she's better at corporate events? If planning a birthday party, skip the nearly $5000 she charges and you can do her job for much cheaper and with less headache.

After our wedding, I later found out from family and friends that she had my entire bridal party and guests removed after the church ceremony. As a result, we were not able to take photos inside with our bridal party and guests. Many of our loved ones had traveled far to be there and did not get a single photo with us in the church. This was never clearly communicated to me beforehand and was very upsetting to hear after the fact. Prior to the wedding, she had me complete a photo list. I did not realize she would use it to strictly control who was allowed in photos. Even my photographer did not impose those kinds of limitations. As a coordinator, it was not her role to control the photography in that way. That should have been left to the photographer and to us. There were also multiple issues throughout the day that added unnecessary stress. She took my bouquet after the ceremony, so I did not have it during photos until my photographer had to ask for it back. During my grand entrance, I wanted to hold my bouquet and was told I would not need it, which felt dismissive. These details may seem small, but they matter on a day like this. She was also rude to my bridal party. When my bridesmaids were offering to touch up my makeup before my second entrance, she told them "no, she looks fine" and tried to stop them from helping me change. She was very aggressive, and I could not even get a simple blush touch up. Also, she insisted that I only needed her to help me change, which made my bridal party uncomfortable. Throughout the planning process, I found myself constantly having to check in and follow up on details. By the end, hiring her felt like a mistake because it added more stress rather than relieving it. The day only ran as smoothly as it did because our other vendors stepped up. Despite everything, we still tipped her, and we did not even receive a thank you, which reflects the level of professionalism we experienced. Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events, and I regret not going with a different coordinator. I would not recommend her services based on my experience.

I'm writing this review specifically for future couples who are in the process of hiring a…read morecoordinator because looking back, I wish I had never hired Emily. As a first-time bride, I hired her for a partial planning package because I didn't know what I didn't know. That's exactly why you hire a coordinator - to have an experienced professional who guides you, anticipates your needs, and asks the right questions before you even know to ask them. Unfortunately, that is not what I got. Throughout the planning process, I was always the one initiating questions that she should have already been addressing. When I did reach out with concerns, instead of taking accountability, she texted me to "just relax" and that "everything will be fine, this is why I'm here." Had she been on top of things and anticipated my needs the way an experienced coordinator should, I would have never needed to reach out as much as I did. Also, a coordinator dismissing your concerns instead of addressing them is a major red flag, and I wish I had recognized it sooner. One of the reasons I hired her was because she advertised herself as bilingual, which was important to me as my in-laws aren't as comfortable speaking English. Not only did she fall short in that regard, but I also had to remind her of this myself on the day of our rehearsal. I had also specifically requested a printed Chinese copy of the timeline for my husband's parents which was never fulfilled. To make matters worse, I later found out that my groomsmen ended up having to do the majority of the translating on the wedding day - a responsibility that should have been hers. Our rehearsal the night before was sloppy, rushed, and poorly directed. She was visibly disengaged to the point where my own mother pulled me aside to comment on it. It was also at the rehearsal that she distributed a cheat sheet with the timeline, only for us to find out it was an outdated version, not the final one. Finally, on the wedding day, she was already visibly disengaged and going through the motions. But what personally bothered me the most was before my grand entrance, I made the personal decision to carry my bridal bouquet and she repeatedly questioned it which was unsolicited and completely unnecessary. That is the last thing any bride needs to hear in that moment. It wasn't until after the wedding that I learned the full extent of her behavior - my entire wedding party came to me separately to share how rude she had been to them throughout the day. The fact that it was a pattern across so many people says everything. I would NOT recommend her to any couple. The only reason our wedding day was seamless was because our wedding party and other vendors stepped up and were the true backbone of our day, not her. You deserve a coordinator who is as invested in your wedding as you are, and that is simply not what you will get here.
