I was specifically looking for a salon that had a little kids chair because I was taking my almost 3 year old to get her nails done with me. Wonder nails consistently came up. Pictures online looked fine so we called to see if they could fit us in - they said yes. Showed up and I asked if they by any chance had time to do gel x nails for me rather than a basic gel mani. They hesitated, looking around - one woman offered acrylic I said no thank you I want gel x but if they can't do it I'll do a regular gel mani it's totally fine. They said they could do it and the woman who started doing my nails, basically in my OPINION, did not know what she was doing. I am making an assumption based on my experience and compared to my experiences at other salons - but it seemed like she was just learning gel x and almost as if I was her first customer she'd ever done it on. Here's why: - she cut my skin with the drill multiple times, multiple different nails - the shape and length is different with each nail and even more from hand to hand - on a couple of the nails, the size of the nail she put on was clearly the wrong size and went onto my skin rather than strictly being on my nail bed - I brought up these issues and after a couple times of me requesting she fix it, I realized this lady simply was not going to do a good job and I would be getting them fixed elsewhere. I was with my young daughter and was more infatuated with the experience my daughter was having for her first salon visit and paying attention to her, not to mention I didn't have the time to sit there and have this woman continue to fix mistake after mistake. - the first nail she cut for length, I told her that's too short a little longer and she still continued to cut it at that length. I was visibly annoyed but she continued to cut the rest of them and again - being with my young daughter is unfortunately not a time for me to extend the duration of our time there. If you have kids, you know. This visit wasn't about me this time. - I requested almost shaped, pointy / stiletto, but for some reason she cut the nails square (even tho the gel x nail was already pointed) and filed it down into the pointy almond shape. I have never had anyone else do it this way and given the final shape, clearly this is not the ideal way to do it. They are also all different lengths and different pointedness. My pinky nail she cut first is so terribly ugly and short. But again, I didn't have time to sit there and have her take it off and fix it. However I would have still expected a professional nail artist would offer so that I don't leave the salon with their work looking crazy. Multiple other staff looked at the nails after and tried to say how pretty they were and I'm just confused which leads me to believe I was an experiment for her as her first customer with gel x nails. My fingers all look different, I have cuts on multiple of them from her drill, and when she was done shaping before the polish I had to blatantly tell her to file one of them that was so visibly the wrong size for my nail bed which was crazy to me. Also, the woman who did my pedicure was better however my toes are also sore from her picking at them so much. I will say - my toes were looking crazy going in there but I feel it's their job to know when to stop picking on my cuticles. It hurts to walk now because my big toe is so damn sore. I'm sure the rest of the staff are better. But we will not be returning. Keep an eye on them if you're getting services here. You may have to step in and tell them what to do....

She is sweet, attentive, and truly makes you feel cared for. Tiffany invited me back for an acrylic full set, and when I say she did a spectacular job on my nails, I mean exactly that. The color is gorgeous, the shaping is flawless, and she was so gentle with my hands, my cuticles, and the entire service from start to finish. What really stood out to me was her attention to detail. She cleaned up my cuticle area beautifully without me even having to ask, and that meant a lot. So many people can do acrylics, but not everyone takes the time to do those little finishing touches that make a set look truly polished and luxurious. Tiffany absolutely does. She was also incredibly gracious and even refused to take a tip, which spoke volumes to me. I told her the same thing I firmly believe, when someone does beautiful work and gives you a lovely experience, their time is valuable too and they deserve to be appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Tiffany for an acrylic full set and Yen for a pedicure. Both of these women made me feel genuinely taken care of, and I will definitely be back. So, onward we go! After a long day of taking care of taking care of business, shopping, and day tripping, we decided that a little pampering was in order. So, I along with my wife and brother-in-law (a first timer)decided to get pedicures this afternoon and without a doubt, it was the best experience that I've had in a long while, and certainly for my brother-in-law, since her had never had a pedicure or manicure before! My wife and I previously had several manicures and pedicures done here while under the previous ownership of (Helen). And believe me, she did a good job! However, (Fong) the new owner/manager was one of the ladies working for Helen and she had always done my wife's hands. Upon becoming the new owner, Fong made changes that were business smart and customer friendly. Creating a warm friendly place for her customers to really enjoy their overall experience while getting their hands and feet pampered. It just seemed to be a high priority for her to establish a difference between her and the previous owner(s) of Ultra Nails! Usually nail salons have a distinct odor of chemicals, not here! Ultra Nails has gotten a face lift since Fong and Yen have taken over. With out a doubt, it is well maintained, well sanitation and overall cleanliness is a priority....simply put, the salon is "On Hit". Fong and Yen are both very experienced in their craft, and do a bang up job.... But Yen is the one to see regarding a pedicure. She'll do what needs to be done to ensure those cute little piggies are feeling great when you tip toe out the salon for that special event. Although they do accept walk-ins and our visit was a spontaneous event, we highly recommend making an appointment as prom season, and summer grow closer. After I told her that it must be that the two different brands must not work together, she seemed disturbed and started speaking Vietnamese to her fellow co workers and owner. The owner told me to bring my own base coat! WT? I thought that was rude! So I just told her to leave it as is, because I was running late. Well the last time I went my nails bubbled when I left, AGAIN they bubbled not sure why, but it has to be their old base and top coats! When I go to other nail places they never bubble. Another thing, I have natural nails, and they don't know how to shape them, leave them uneven and sharp at the edges, the lady gets annoyed when I tell her to even them out. UGH! Never again. Never had problems ever at other Nail salons.
