They have an ice machine and will numb the areas that need to be zapped, which is always quite helpful when you're in pain, like I usually am. They have things to do and could probably book a last minute client if possible. - bring cash or a check ( yes, they take checks!!!) On the other hand, what I at first perceived to be chatty friendliness soon began to feel extremely uncomfortable and invasive. She asks an inordinate amount of questions, nosy ones, and doesn't back off even when it's clear the client doesn't want to answer. She also makes sweeping generalizations about entire groups of people and when you're lying flat on your back, at the mercy of her zapping needle, it's not really the time to get into a heated discussion. She also once surprised me with a significant price increase that there had been no warning about. For me, the tipping point was when she kept insisting I must have a disorder or condition because I'm overweight and have facial hair and inquiring time after time if I'd seen someone about it. I assume she was referring to PCOS, which many thin people have as well, but it really doesn't matter. She is not a medical professional and I did not come here for a diagnosis. I came for electrolysis. Had she said, "I don't think your hair growth is responding to electrolysis and I don't want you to waste your money if it's not helping. You might want to see an endocrinologist to see if there's an underlying cause before you continue," and then left it to me, that would've been entirely different. I stopped coming here after that, and it's a decision I do not regret.

But don't worry, you're not there for them ;) I asked for Zhanna and they had me wait towards the back. Although not your typical medspa and space is limited, the area is clean and she sanitizes your glasses with an alcohol pad before service. (Which should be done at all laser places. I was concerned how was I going to be outside this summer with 8 treatments remaining. Glad it won't be an issue now. The woman who did my laser (I wish I would have gotten her name) was very informative and made me feel comfortable. This was my second session so I'm still pretty new. I added on a new service, my upper lip (because why be hairless everywhere else and still have a mustache?!) and the woman walked me through what it would feel like and even did a test on my neck before we began- I appreciated that. She was thorough and took her time making sure to get every spot. I already booked my next appointment and I can't wait to come back! I've seen amazing results after the first session so I can't wait to see if any hair grows back now.

If you're having issues with your skin, this is the place to go! Tres Belle is a true gem of a spa, beautiful, clean, with a lovely staff and and only the best products. I began seeing Dr. Aparna Chaudhari in late January, during a bad breakout and with skin that was generally prone to break outs. On my first visit, she gave me a personalized facial to address my blemishes and helped me streamline my products. I followed her advice very closely, getting rid of many products that weren't serving me well and buying just a few key products from Tres Belle's offerings from Biologique Recherche and Skinceuticals (both great brands and the only ones Tres Belle carries). While these aren't cheap products, Dr. Aparna recommends them in a way that's reminiscent to being "prescribed". She knows the products in and out and starts you off *only* with the ones that are most likely to address the issues at hand. You end up with a few key products to address specific skin issues. After that first appointment, I began seeing some results. Dr. Aparna also recommended a VI Peel on my first visit, but I waited 6 weeks to get one. OMG. About a week after the peel was complete my skin improved tremendously. Again, I use only products that she's recommended and I use them day and night. Her treatments + skin regimen have gotten me incredibly clear skin in only ~2 months. I could not be more impressed. When I first went to Dr. Aparna, she told me to be patient. Tres Belle - I Found My Bliss I first met spa owner Allison Tray at the concert of a mutual friend several years ago. She immediately made an impression on me with her bigger than life personality and infectious laugh. From our first meeting she treated me like we had known each other for years (this obviously does not happen all that often in NYC). A few twitter exchanges later I found out she owned a spa. My excitement grew. Anyone that knows me knows I love my pampering. Needless to say I was anxious to check it out. Plus it was in Brooklyn (my beloved hometown for 30+ yrs) Upon my first visit I was not surprised to see that Allison had created an environment as warm and inviting as her personality. I immediately dubbed it "Brooklyn bliss." Nestled away on Bond St. this place has quickly become my oasis. After several stressful hours in the office it all immediately fades when I walk through the door. P.S. it doesn't hurt that I always get greeted with a hug and smile upon my arrival (and exit) So what about the services? In two words "top notch." Trust me, when people compliment you on your eyebrows you know you've gotten great treatment. I've also sampled both the "Japanese Facial" and "Ageless Goddess Facial." Each is a one hour slice of heaven that leaves me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. As a newbie to laser, I'd done plenty of research on the process as well as shopped around prices & places. The first place that I went to was cold and impersonal, and left a bad taste in my mouth.. But let me tell you, Tres Belle Petite was the exact opposite experience. When I walked in, I felt like I was greeted by a family. The owner Allison immediately introduced me to everyone who worked there, even though I only came for a consultation! After an extensive conversation with Allison, she was able to come up with a laser package which suited all of my needs. She even offered to start my first session right then & there! I felt so comfortable in their services that I accepted. Their laser specialist, Oksana, explained the entire procedure to me to a T, including all of the pro's and cons, what to expect, how long it will take to see & feel results, all with a caring & optimistic tone about the end product. Naturally, laser hair removal is not exactly comfortable - but Oksana is very quick and always making sure that you're feeling alright. So yes, I know that laser takes 6-10 treatments before it is 100% completed, but I have my next session scheduled and can't wait to go through it all with the fam at Tres Belle. read more

I started this Yelp because I swear I met my sister. Allison, the founder, is engaging and truly the light in the room. My boyfriend and I came in here from brunch across the street and I was asking about laser hair removal for my back ( don't tell anyone ). She and her partner Oxsana could not have been more accommodating. They did a little free patch for me so that I could go through the process. This was 3 months ago and my hair has slowed down already. I live near a place in Gowanus ( I think it starts with an L.) but after reading a nightmare novel-length review, I did my research. I read about Tres Belle and walked in. This is the place with professionals who are also generous. After a fabulous experience with laser, I tried a facial for my acne. Hair and acne, not cute for me. The therapist Magda I saw had extra time and extended my treatment at no extra cost. My face wasn't flaming red when I left either. I didn't look like a crazy person. They gave a million samples and didn't push me to but. They told me to try the samples first and the Biologique Recherche cream (dermopurifant) worked wonders. They've got it wrapped up tight here. Being in high-end retail I'm always off on Mondays. The fact that this adorable little spa has a facial and massage for $189 is totally amazing. Two full hours of quality massaging and pampering for under $200 is nearly unheard of in New York City. For me Monday has become the new Saturday because it's the day I look most forward to now. The service at the spa is kind of unbelievable, in the best possible way. It's like your best friends opened up a spa, and it just so happens that they also offer really really high-end treatments. My facial was one of the best I've ever had in my massage from Natasha was very therapeutic. When I first saw how tiny she was I was skeptical but the girls got power. I had never had a facial before! I donated food for their Sandy drive {a long time ago, I know} and they gave me a discount card in return for my donation. I never knew it could feel so pampering to have a facial. I always had the idea that it hurt, I guess the "picking?" Well, it didn't hurt, in fact I felt like I was transported to a floating cloud in heaven. Carrie was so sweet, she explained in the beginning what she would do and then as she went with the procedure, I just drifted to sleep. My always dry skin looked so good and moisturized and instead of trying to sell me expensive products she gave me a recipe for a moisture mask I could make with coconut oil. A day later, I've Benjamin Buttoned, and I'm p happy with that. Oh, my goodness. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I've been dealing with insane cystic acne as a side effect of a medication, and have come to Tres Belle twice for a facial. Both times, Paula has genuinely saved my ass. Hers are by far the best facials I've ever had--she's specific, thoughtful, and so encouraging. My skin was literally a nightmare and now it's flawless. I read reviews on citysearch for them and made an appointment. They are really nice and the treatments are working. I have crazy thick hair, like 3 hairs in each follicle. My bikini area is finally not broken out and much less hair. I had 4 sessions. I also had a facial from Yoshi and it was pretty damn good. My skin's sensitive and I wasn't red at all. i would reccomend Tres Belle. Also, it's nice to go to a small biz instead of a chain place. More people should support small businesses! read more

I had the best experience with Natalya at Tres Belle Medi-Spa! I got a custom facial because I was suffering from a lot of hormonal acne, and the treatment made a HUGE difference in clearing my skin. She was too spiritual for my taste. Facial-wise, it felt nice, though she was talking the entire time, and I didn't feel like I could fully relax. She also said she's a certified beautician, esthetician and hair stylist, which doesn't inspire much confidence in her skills in any one of the areas as the attention seems to be diluted. I asked for tips to maintain my skin, such as exfoliating more, and she said people nowadays live with so much pollution that daily face cleansing does not suffice; she recommended I return for another facial in 4 weeks for my nose, supposedly THAT clogged up, and that I make facials part of my routine--doing them every 2 months. Welp, at least it's on ClassPass because no way I'm spending $100+ every 2 months on facials. What was expected to be a 1-hour experience stretched to an hour and a half; she said she gave me an extra treatment at the end on the house. I did think my pores looked a bit smaller when I left, but I cannot possibly return here.

I reached out to the clinic multiple times to request a medically appropriate corrective plan. I was polite, documented everything, and gave them multiple opportunities to help resolve the damage. They stopped responding and ignored my follow-up -- while I am still making payments for a treatment that permanently harmed my face. In my experience, there was no accountability, no follow-up care, and no attempt to assist once complications arose. If you are considering treatment here, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may be left to deal with the consequences alone.

Upon arrival, the service was great. We had our coats taken and hung up, we slipped into cute branded slippers, and we were offered adorably themed treats and drinks. Once we walked back to our room, we changed into cozy robes and had our heads propped up on cushy pillows. I loved the procedure from beginning to end. Since it was my first time, my aesthetician walked me through all the different sections and consistently checked in to make sure I was okay. She even showed me all the blackheads that she removed (yuck but also veryy cool lol) . After everything was done, she gave me pointers on how to keep my pores unclogged and she reminded me to add products with sunscreen to my routine. I loved my first deep cleansing facial and I definitely have Natrabella Skincare Beauty and Day Spa to thank for that. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and bring all my friends with me.
