First time visitor here. Small but clean restaurant. Food is your average American Mexican cuisine. I do like the fact they have soups which is hard to find offered in our area of Ohio. Staff was easy to spot but not very attentive or welcoming. Over all I wouldn't rush back to eat there again but it's decent. read more

Every time I'm in Grayson, I eat at Tres Hermanos Nunez. The staff are always friendly. The Mexican dishes are made to order. Their menu is very good sized. So if you prefer a specific dish with a specific meat, then you'll like this place. I've had many dishes but I like the fajitas brought sizzling to your table. My wife and I were camping at Carter Caves and came into town to do laundry and grocery shopping for some items that we needed. We were getting hungry, and as first timers to this establishment, we stopped in for lunch on a Monday at 2pm. My wife and I were seated promptly. Our server was Jose G. We loved the artwork around the restaurant. It created a delightful environment, Mexican themed. I ordered the Seafood Lunch Fajita and Miller Lite. My wife had a house Margarita with the lunch Fajita Steak. The food arrived hot after a reasonable wait. The presentation of the meals was very appetizing and the amounts of food was a real thumbs up. The flavor of the food was very good, clearly attention to detail in the seasoning of both of our meals. Regarding the pricing, we found it to be in line with the type and quantity of the food here, a real value. One thing that does disappoint me (causing the four star review) and I did not realize this until I was writing this review, is that the tip was included in the final balance due, causing me to have had double tipped since I left my tip in cash, meaning that I, in fact, tipped on my tip! This should be made clear by the server that the tip is already include on the check. If I had been more attentive to the check I would have caught this, and this is my fault, but, I have never been in a restaurant where a table of two has a tip automatically attached to the bill. If we lived in this area Tres Hermanos would be in contention for a go to Mexican Restaurant, though, of course I would be careful and aware of how tipping is handled here. read more

The last 4 take out orders we do not get the full meal. If the meal includes guacamole it is NEVER included. Parts of meal are always missing. My meal was suppose to have rice. No rice. This has always been our favorite take out. But after 4 times we may need to find a new restaurant. read more

Lunch at tres was nice. It was clean. I got the chix chimi, it's hard to find a good one anywhere honestly. Restaurants tend to have very little flavor, taste was bland. My husband drove 45 minutes to the grayson location and they forgot our cheese and extra chips. When I called they didn't want to give us our money back for our missing items. They told us to drive another 45 mins back to get them. Finally they agreed to refund us for the chips and cheese. We are regular customers and always tip. This is the worst service we have had with this location. So he is now driving back for those items. As someone who worked in the food service industry for years this is honestly pathetic. It cost more in gas for the chips and cheese. Do better grayson! read more

The food is usually quite good, but it's always very packed and has a crowded feel to it. You will rarely ever get a refill, the servers rarely check on your table to see if you need anything. The food is always hot and I've ordered out several times and they've never gotten my order wrong! The inside is decorated nicely and gives an authentic Mexican feel to the place. Price wise, you can't beat it. It's always clean, service is always in great moods. The food while it does taste really good could use just a touch of work. The meat, chicken or steak is always pretty tough. That is literally my only complaint. I still go there quite often and will update my review it this ever changes. UPDATE Eat there today with the family. While the food was good, pur server was no where to be found. He took our order and never saw him again. We had to catch the attention of another server to get our food after nearly an hour and an empty dinning room. Will update again next time I visit. read more

Beware...Raises prices on those from out of town....Ordered steak fajitas for two on the menu for 18.99....The waiter brings the bill and states he'll "take $25"....When questioned the waiter explained that the $6 extra charge was due to taxes (??).....I demanded a menu and pointed to the $18.99 price....Then the excuse was that prices were raised due to COVID....A word of advise, update your menus when prices increase and be consistent when providing excuses for price gauging to non locals.... read more

A friend and I tried this place as we were passing through (Saturday night) and did not regret it. We were seated quickly and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Ok, got the waiting and service out of the way as there were issues with other reviews...no issues here, maybe just good timing? The customary chips and salsa were tasty...not out of this world, but they were gone before the meal came. Speaking of meal, my friend and I both had the Steak and Shrimp Fundido. I'm not sure what Fundido means, but it was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. There was a slightly spicy but creamy goodness to the dish that was otherworldly, and the shrimp and steak would have been awesome alone. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

For the life of me I cannot see why on earth this place has ever been given less than 4 starts from anyone! We eat here AT LEAST once a week, often take-out. Our picky kids LOVE the "cheesy rice" and I often come by the get just a side to reward a good grade or something. They are always polite even when super busy as they often are, and are big on community involvement. They knocked the other Mexican restaurant in town, Toro Loco, literally out of the heart of the parks. They gone now. End of story. The cheesy goodness that is poured over many of their dishes should be classified as a highly addictive substance and regulated by the FDA. Hint: try the "flour" chips with some queso in place of regular nacho chips sometime and thank me later. You are welcome. Favorites here are the Jennifer Special, Steak and Shrimp Fundido, the Chicken Deluxe, all the fajitas are just great. Wow! What a place! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. Some of the best mexican food I've ever eaten. It is authentic too because the food is very similar to the food served locally in Mexico. The portions here are enormous. I went there to eat last night and the appetizers were okay. The chips were a bit too big to dip comfortably into the salsa and cheese. I found myself breaking the chips into halves and fourths. The chips were nicely toasted and tasted great with the white cheese. Cassadias were nice but not for me. The kids section enchilada was delicious; I found myself loving the rice and beans on their own as well after the misunderstanding.Nice staff too. Since my whole family including me are strict vegetarians we told the waiter for vegetarian food for our orders. As I went to open my kids section enchilada something looked off. I showed my parents and Aunt and Uncle who had come with me and they said it was beef. We told the waiter to give another enchilada but NO BEEF this time and this time it had beans instead and was delicious. Overall nice restaurant. read more

So I am used to small town restaurants and for the most part don't expect high end food. But I have been in many small town restaurants where you can still get cheerful good service and decent food. Unfortunately Tres Hermanos didn't provide either of these. The server at best was apathetic. She did the minimum required to serve me as did anyone else who came to my table. The food was below average even for Mexican in small town eastern KY. There is at least one other Mexican restaurant in Grayson and I think it does a much better job at both good service and decent food. read more

Whoa. I went with a veggie cheese enchilada and chili rellenos. My friend coincidentally ordered chili rellenos also. One bite and we were done. Something was very wrong and we got out of there fast feeling yucky. Just passing through town while on the road, so maybe it was a one time thing, I hope. read more
