HYDE is one of those places you keep rooting for, even when you're not totally sure why. Brewery vibes, Ceviche running the kitchen, quirky energy, good location. We've been regulars for a long time, usually popping in once a week for tacos and a drink, hoping each visit will be "the one" where everything finally clicks. There was a promising stretch when Ian was managing. Food quality went up, service felt dialed in, and HYDE seemed to be finding its footing. Since he left, the experience has slipped into what I'd describe as "depends on the night and the moon phase." Exhibit A: the margaritas. We've waited close to 40 minutes more than once. Not for a complicated chef's cocktail, or something smoked under a glass dome. Just a standard margarita. At the 25 minute mark, you start speculating about whether someone is hand harvesting sea salt in the parking lot. By minute 35, you're convinced they're distilling the tequila in a basement barrel and blessing the limes under a full moon. When your drink shows up later than your patience, it kills the vibe pretty fast. Food is similar. Some days, the tacos are fresh, bright, well seasoned, and plated like someone cared. Other days, they look like they fell apart on the way over and someone just shrugged and sent them anyway. We've also had incorrect orders enough times that sending plates back is basically a standing tradition at this point. Ingredient changes have shown up recently too, like new fries and chips. As longtime customers, it feels like cost cutting, and that's usually a red flag that business has dipped. Swapping ingredients to save a few dollars rarely turns things around. It's more often the first step toward empty seats. Which is the frustrating part, because HYDE truly has potential. The space is cool. The embedded Ceviche concept is unique. The community honestly wants this restaurant to succeed. But it needs stronger leadership, steadier service, and more consistent execution if it wants people to come back the way they used to. We're still rooting for HYDE. Because when the drinks arrive before you age 10 years and the tacos are right, it can hit just right. Bring back the quality, tighten up the service tempo, and deliver consistently, and HYDE could absolutely be the neighborhood spot everyone wants it to be. Until then, we'll keep crossing our fingers... and maybe pre gaming our margaritas at home. read more

New brewery in Milton, and very cool aesthetic. If you love Ceviche Taqueria and/or Jekyll Brewing, then you'll love this spot! The three owners bring a ton of experience from those local Alpharetta hot spots, and Hyde is definitely going to be another popular one! Their menu is actually Ceviche's, but with added Hyde beers, spirits, and wine. Their empanadas and taquitos are my go-to's, but I also love the chicken tortilla soup (more so in the Fall/Winter). The mango salsa is also incredible and a must order, and of course, they offer Mexican style Ceviche which is always fresh and delicious. If you're looking for something a bit larger and substantial, the fajita nachos and burrito grande are quite yummy as well! Love this place! It is very close to The Crabapple Starbucks. I took the family here and had great food and service. There is a brewery inside with a Ceviche restaurant. I don't usually get excited with chips and salsa, but their salsa is addictive! We had steak fajitas and tacos; pork tacos are awesome. I had two different beers - Snake Farm Mexican Lager by far my favorite. My wife had a skinny margarita and she loved it. Perfect for families with kids. We will be back! read more

Hyde Brewing was the drinks vendor at the Nashville Roadshow on Friday August 8, 2025. The first few times I purchased drinks I provided my card, it was tapped, handed back to me and that was it. Later in the evening when I purchased additional drinks I was handed the handheld credit card terminal which asked me if I wanted to tip, how much, and then a signature. Well, after reviewing my bank account I now know why I wasn't handed the handheld terminal during the first few transactions...because they were giving themselves a nice big tip and forging my signature. Not worth reporting to the police as credit card fraud but worth making everyone aware. Your employees should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Great new find! A brewery with excellent food! Entertainment on Friday night was not overwhelming and complicated the fun some. Family friendly as we were there with our grandson and family. I knew this place was opening soon and when I drove by and saw a bunch of people there, I knew the time had come! I grabbed a couple of my boys and we came out on a Friday night. The place was crowded in the bar area, but the dining area was starting to thin out as it was nearly 9pm. It was easy to find a table and I love that there are nice couches as well as long tables and high tops. The staff was super friendly and high energy, as was the entire vibe. They have merch for sale and we had a great time, meeting some new neighbors. It was so good that I brought my family bak the next day. It is definitely a family friendly establishment and we tried some of the food this time around, which is Ceviche from DT Alpharetta. I had the taquitos and there was so much chicken. Great brewery with hand made beers. Full bar, too. The kitchen is Ceviche with some of the best Mexican-American food in the area. Tacos are amazing. Queso great. It is a large, open space. Ambience is urban-brewpub with painted cinderblock walls and polished concrete floors. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Regarding the previous review stating there is no beer menu, well, on two visits we got one, and it changes with the current selections on tap created by the brewmaster (owner). TVs are located throughout the space, but note that Hyde only has local broadcast Xfinity with no sports package. That sadly means no NFL Sunday Ticket. : ( Parking is out-back in the parking lot, or on the street. So overall Hyde is a terrific place for craft beers brewed in-house along with excellent Mexican food. read more

With the pedigree of Ceviche Taqueria combined with Jekyll Brewing, I assumed I was in for a real treat. There is a lot of potential here, everything was mostly satisfactory, but not a lot is going great yet. The location is hard to figure out. It wasn't clear to me that parking was in the back, so we parked on the street and then struggled to find the front door. Better signage may have made this easier, or maybe this was just me. Inside the taproom is a bustling environment spread out through the entire layout. One side, nearest the brewery space, seemed to be more of a dining room. It was well-lit and had a unique industrial decor. On the other side of the building may be the worst section to be sat in, right next to the dishwashing room. There is a nonsensical "window" into this dishwashing room and the view is not interesting, exciting or on-brand. It adds to the noise levels, and was a huge detractor from the entire experience. When it was time to order it was equally uncomfortable. There are no beer menus in this brewery, so we depended on the server to rattle them off from memory and explain them each individually. No flights available either (which would have solved the "what will I have" problem), so the server ran back and forth from the bar with "tastes" each in their own glass. The beers were okay, nothing bad, but none were distinctive or outstanding. They were certainly session-able and inoffensive enough to be crushable, but the varieties weren't that different from each other. I think this will improve with time. I am looking forward to another trip in the future so I can update this review with something more positive. read more

We popped into HB for some lunch after they soft opened, but before their Grand Opening. The ambiance is cozy, but open with leather loveseats available to pop a squat, relax and enjoy a beer. The sizable bar area, complete with high-tops and bar seats, splits the two dining areas (quieter on the left towards the outdoor patio area and the more open, lively on the right). At that point, they didn't have their house brews up and running, but had some nice local beers to choose from. Gabe, our server, was very attentive and provided good food recommendations. The food leans towards Mexican, but there are plenty of other options available. I had the house-simmered barbacoa and it was very good with some nice flavor. What a terrible experience and complete let down. For starters, you can taste nothing but the canned tomatoes in the salsa, chips are thick and under seasoned. House margarita came in an 8 oz short glass, full of ice....about 8 sips. The tacos were bland aside from an odd thin pink sauce on both. The worst part is having to watch the cook staff and dishwasher stand around, eat, talk and look at phone...right from your table! Personally, I would close these views...it highlights how little effort is put into your meal and the cans some of your food is coming from (beans). read more

This spot is pretty underwhelming overall. The beer list is disappointingly limited, and has Corona, Bud Light, and Modelo as their "domestic" options--not exactly what you'd hope for at a brewery. The menu leans heavily on ceviche and Mexican dishes, which is an interesting choice for a brewery, but the smash burger is a definite pass. We noticed that Hyde had recently opened and we're excited to try it, as we live 3-4 blocks away and love the new food scene of Crabapple. The ambiance was cool and the wait staff were very friendly. We noticed the stainless steel tanks and asked when the Brewery would open and was told 3 weeks. This might explain why there was zero advertising about their opening. I ordered the pork empanadas. They were great, especially the sauce. My wife ordered the guacamole; she seemed to like it, but I found it bland and uninspiring. It seemed to be missing salt, cilantro, onions, and jalapeños. Have definitely had better. I also ordered the Tanteo Habanero tequila near, as I love tequilas. It was fiery hot and tasty. After our appetizers arrived, a few minutes later our waiter asked if we wanted to order anything else. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos and I ordered the pork barbacoa. And here is where I take a star away, which could be caused by waiter inexperience. Our food arrived too quickly, and we hadn't finished our appetizers. This is a pet peeve of mine. However, my wife enjoyed her tacos, and I thought the pork barbacoas entree was excellent. Next time I will order some of the sauce on the side, as it is awesome. Great location, great service! Really spacious inside and can see where it will be a very popular place if the kitchen can get a few things straight. First the Mexican lager was really good, great salsa and the steak poblano taco was a definite 5 star. The rest of the items we ordered not so great. The meat on the other tacos was luke warm to the point the cheese didn't melt and little to no flavor. Miguel's special, cheese enchilada was cold. Cheese was still shredded inside. Really no flavor any of it. Chicken enchilada was dry inside. We regret not voicing our opinion at the time when we were asked. Everyone was so nice and we know they have only been open a couple months. I hope they get it straight as it really is a great place and we would love to see them succeed.
