I will still stand by my love of this brand. Absolute best custom shades (I get the black gloss Waycooler frame, and the RX lens as dark as they can go) and I live by them. Have still never found a pair of sunglasses as perfect as my Tres Noir frames. Considering that every pair has lasted me until some major tragedy occurred (I dropped a full, post-game hockey bag on them once, and even then I just had to tighten the screws a little) I can tell you they're worth every penny. I purchased the Ultra Lux- black +blonde tort with my singles vision prescription and a pair of Le Saboteur - black and white horn smoke gradient sunglasses (no prescription so I may wear with contacts) First of all, the process of ordering on the website was really easy to follow and all the details are super helpful. My purchase arrived approximately six days after I placed the order(I live in SoCal so shipping only took a day) The packaging was excellent and the details on the microfiber pouch and cloth is of great quality. I am in love with how the Ultra Lux frames fit and are so comfortable. The Le Saboteur shades are definitely a larger as expected but feel a lot lighter than the Ultra Lux. Several years ago, I was in a trendy shop searching for a sturdy set of sunglasses. Specifically, I needed a frame in which I could insert my rather thick prescription lenses. (I have a strong prescription.) So I purchased my first pair of Tres Noir Sunglasses, the Police and Thieves model! I received so many compliments for that frame and found that many of my friends were constantly borrowing my sunglasses! I put a stop to this by switching the lenses out and basically, only I can wear them now! Many years later, I opted for a second pair of sunglasses. I fell head over heels for their pink and black Bombshell frame! When I ordered them online, I was told that if I didn't like the glasses I could come into the shop and find another pair that suited my needs and style! I always thought that all sales were final but the folks at Tres Noir want you to be satisfied with your purchase! They may have a limited warranty for a specific amount of time but then again...from what I was told, they'll work with you! It was an affair to remember. I went back and forth with these sunglasses, wondering if I should start a relationship or keep it moving with my other frames. I would stalk the Bombshells on Tres Noir's website, endlessly clicking on the different colors available. Sales would come and go, and still I was too scared to approach. I would peruse their Google images, over analyzing how they looked on different models and customers, wondering how they'd look on me. I forgot about Bombshell for a few months. I had to get them out of my head and move on. And then one day a few weeks ago while bored at work, I stumbled onto their website and noticed they were only down to 2 color choices! I had to act fast. Do I or don't I??? Many thanks to Tori and Steven who were beyond awesome and communicative! I initially emailed to ask what level of darkness the lenses are, and if they can make them even darker, as I have significant light sensitivity (sometimes migraine status). Tori replied within an hour or so and informed me yes, they definitely can make the lenses darker for $40 extra. Special orders need to be called in to the shop, so the next day I made the call. Steven was excellent in further helping me order my frames and took my credit card payment over the phone. He explained all sunglasses come with a Level 3 darkness, and you can further darken them to Level 4 or 5. I chose Level 5 and patiently awaited our first date. Bought my boyfriend his first pair of Tres Noir frames (The Upstarts) and all i can say is HOT DAMN. The quality is highly noticeable and the designs are beautiful! They worked well with giving us upfront pricing for custom RX lenses and the turnaround time in receiving the glasses only took about a week. I ended purchasing a pair of my own, was concerned they would be a bit heavy on my face with the acetate but after using them they feel so comfortable and lightweight. They are honest people and truly take pride in their work. Also, if you have a minor issue with your sunglasses that needs repair, most of the time if you take the sunglasses into their office in Santa Ana they will fix it for free or very little cost.
