My son's glasses (frame) broke while he was at work, so I was helping him find a place that could repair them on an emergency basis. With many businesses being closed during these times, it was almost impossible for me to find one that was open today. I called Grand Optical and fortunately they were open for business with reduced hours. I was able to go in, and the optician (Rene?) helped pick a new frame that would accommodate the lenses and put the old lenses in it. There were only 2 individuals in the office and they practiced social distancing and wore masks (as did I). He even offered to say a bit later after hours so that he could complete the job in one visit! I am so happy I have found this establishment, and even happier they were able to help me right away with my issue. For the past 8 years, I was going elsewhere for custom nose pads and when their prices increased by 300% (!), I had to find another place. I was so happy with my first two Rx eyeglasses at Grand Optical 3 years ago, I went back with a new prescription now 3 years later and had Rene make 5 new Rx scratch-resistant, glareless, tinted, progressive lenses in my 5 expensive designer frames including 2 tinted sunglasses, computer eyeglass, and 2 lightly tinted glasses which were all perfect. Rene even cut the original lenses of the new frames to a different shape I preferred and virtually did everything I asked for to accommodate me and even suggested options. I was in dire of need of new lenses for my Ray Bans, Foldable Wayfarer sunglasses because my stock lenses were severely damaged due to the abundances of times dropping it on rough surfaces and the normal wear and tear for 8 years. I was skeptical about visiting Grand Optical, but, since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to visit the shop. I was warmly, greeted by Rene. I showed off my horrendous lenses to Rene to examine it for a couple of minutes and said he was able to replace the lenses. I asked about my prescription as well, and he said of course! I was able to get it the same day with new Polarized lenses, my current prescription and he even tighten up the screws of my sunglasses, to make it sit comfortably on my face. Walked in wondering if my loose Ray Band Sunglasses could get repaired. When they first checked them they told me they couldn't be heated cause of the mat material my sunglasses were. Luckily he has a special technique where he was able to put some screws on the arms of my sunglasses, and now they are adjustable. I can't even notice the screws and my shades sit on me perfectly. Sticking to this Optical for sure and I would 100% recommend it to anyone! Especially if you love your stunning brand shades. read more

Rene is the best!! I honestly can't remember a time I received such great service anywhere. Initially I came in to get my glasses repaired. While Rene was fixing them, I was checking out their frames - the prices were AWESOME so I decided to get a new pair. I didn't even need my prescription, just the glasses I came in with. He said I could pick them up the following day and I was shocked! And had I not come in so close to closing, I would have been able to pick them up that day - this is absolutely unheard of in all of my experiences with getting new glasses. I've always had to wait at least 2-3 weeks. Their selection is smaller compared to other places I've been, but the options are so much better that you don't waste time trying on all these frames that you don't like. I've never really liked how I look in glasses but I'm in love with these! Again, Rene is the best! He is so nice, helpful and genuine and you would be hard pressed to find a place with such great prices and service. I'll never go to another shop again. read more
