My friend and I wanted to do a day in Napa and were specifically looking for a place that allows dogs, so we decided to try Tres Sabores. Bonus points that they have a Barbera and my friend is a fan! We booked the 10:30am tasting and as we were coming up from the East Bay Area, we hit a little bit of traffic and our ETA was 10:37am. I figured that wasn't a big deal given that their instructions were very specific only to the effect of being 20 minutes late, and I figured 7 minutes was well within the grace period. I also assumed, at worst, they'd simply hold us to our 90 minute tasting. All that to say that color me surprised when, as we were literally driving up the dirt road, I get a phone call asking about where we were. We both laughed it off and figured it wasn't a big deal. Sadly, seems like it was. By the time we parked and walked down to the picnic bench, it was 10:40 and our server made a snide comment about how we needed to catch up on our 60 (?!) minute tasting. It made us feel unwelcome and really rushed, even though the only other party seated near us (who had likely arrived at 10:30, or earlier?) was drinking the same wine. So I'd hardly say we were behind. Plus, the rose was garbage, so I was more than happy to take one sip and pour the rest in the spit bucket and move on. There are way better ways of handling a situation like this. For instance, bring us the first two wines together if we're truly behind, or bring the second one out quickly and force us to just move on. There's no need to be snide. The wine itself was fine, and nothing special. While their property is nice and has goats and is a lovely venue overlooking the valley, I've often said that this is an industry that is colored by the customer service and experience. And, in our case, it felt really inhospitable. There are plenty of places with better wine and better service.

Enjoyed learning the history of this winery. The service and attention to detail was outstanding. The tastings were great! Ordered almost every bottle!

Such an amazing experience. This place is an absolute gem! We very much so enjoyed the ambience of this intimate setting. Julie is an owner, wine maker, and grape grower - such a unique person who truly cares about the sustainability of what they do. Their care for the environment and community is second to none. Jim, our host, did an outstanding job of presenting wines, explaining the vineyard, origin of the wines, and their sustainable practice. On top of all that, the prices were great for tasting and there's a discount for DDs. Wines were delicious and highly recommend the charcuterie board. Recommending this place to everyone I know! Will absolutely be back. Mahalo for the best Napa experience!

Small Flavor Founded in 1999, Tres Sabores is proud to be one of the smallest producers in Napa Valley, focusing more on quality than quantity. We booked a tasting on the recommendation of Yelp and IG bud Katie R, as we're not that savvy when it comes to fermented grapes but figured since we're in Napa might as well do as the masses do. The Good: *The tasting was very causal and lots of good info about the grapes, wines, and the wine-makers. *Wine club that includes free tastings, invitations to special events, discounts, and more. *Dog and kid-friendly *Grounds are gorgeous, and I'd live to visit again in the spring. *All wines are certified organic *Generous pours at the tasting *Their Extra Virgin Olive Oil is excellent and worthy of a purchase. *Tasting fee is $60/per (starting June 1, '23), but the tasting fee is waived with the purchase of four bottles (per person). *They also give you a tour of the farm, which was a big plus for us when booking. *Nice, quality snackies to much on in-between tastings. You can bring a picnic lunch with you for no additional fee. *No charge for designated drivers and kids. The Meh: *Reservations required (max 8) The Ugly: *Make you put down a credit card on file before your arrival. I'm not sure why this irked me, but it kinda did. I guess they have a lot of no-shows, but still... TLDR: One-of-a-kind personal wine tasting experience in a gorgeous setting. Highly recommended even for non-wine lovers such as ourselves.

Special, tucked away gem in wine country! I have been coming for years with my family and recently brought my grandparents. Julie, John, and team make incredible wine and their property feels like coming home. Added bonus for the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and their entire working farm. Family and dog friendly, this winery checks all the boxes.

A nice hidden gem. Not a lot of seating and a little out of the way, but that didn't stop us from signing up! We loved the wines and stories behind them, the team, and even the label designs. The lamb onsite are fun and the food was simple but good.

Wow, such a hidden gem! Came here for a tasting on a Sunday thanks to my friend who is a member of Tres Sabores. It's one of the few wineries that is family owned, women-owned, and non-corporate in the Napa Valley. I was blown away by how gorgeous the vineyard grounds were and loved the intimate tasting experience. It was picture perfect in every corner and definitely felt like heaven on earth. I can totally sit there all day! We were able to try their rose, signature red blend, and cab. Loved the wines and also chatting with the owner and winemaker Julie. Can't wait to come back and bring my parents along!!

There's chickens and goats on the property!

Friendly friendly people. Easy to book and reserve through website request and phone call. Loved this women owned and run winery, especially how they have dogs around and allow dogs. My dog had a blast while the adults had some fun. Easy to follow instructions. Very limited dirt road parking but they even put signage to show you where to turn around to park/get out nicely. Wine tasting was nice and they included some light snacks- almonds, crackers and fresh pomegranates. Feel free to bring your own snacks and napkins too! Def plan to be back and add more wine stops!

    The table was set!

This is our very favorite winery in all of California! Tres Sabores is relaxed, refined, and completely approachable. There is no snootiness here. Just great wine, beautiful scenery, and wonderful people - plus several friendly pups! To come here for a wine tasting is to enter into the heart of what it means to make wine. You are surrounded by vineyards and gardens that are brimming with light and life. During our latest visit, we were fortunate to meet the newest member of the 'mower' brigade - a darling little black lamb that was born that day! The owners, Julie and Jon, are authentic and welcoming. It seems rare to be able to meet the wine-makers themselves, and to have the opportunity to discuss (and sip) their amazing creations. Tres Sabores is truly special. We can't wait to return again soon.

Loved our tasting here! Tres Sabores was our first stop of the day on Sunday, and we were immediately greeted by Carrie, who was very sweet/knowledgable. She took us over to a large outdoor table, with pretty flowers, a view of the vineyard, and a cute little personalized sign (for my birthday). I loved learning about the history of the winery (woman owned & operated!) and all the wines we tried were fantastic. Carrie also brought out a few meat/cheese boards for us - one for white wine pairings, and two for the reds. I didn't try the meats but both cheeses were SO delicious, especially the goat cheese. There were also some lighter snacks, like nuts and crackers, and she even gave me a birthday (carrot cake) cupcake with a candle - adorable! After the tasting, we stuck around for a little while to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Enjoyed every minute!

Enjoyed a lovely tasting experience here. The tables were set up with plenty of shade and a nice vineyard view, some crackers and nuts to snack on were brought out moments after we were sat, and the music was fun, giving the place a great vibe. The tasting room associates were very knowledgeable about the wines and the winemaker herself even poured us some. The pours were the perfect size, gave you the ability to really get a nice taste and determine the structure of the wine. The wines were delectable. Though I don't usually drink white wines, the white wines were just as good as the reds were. It was difficult deciding which ones to go home with, and if I lived closer I actually would've considered becoming a club member. Wines were also very reasonably priced, especially for Napa. Overall a great experience, I would recommend this winery and I would come back. Tasting was a bit expensive, but can be waived with the purchase of some bottles. Parking was also a little confusing because you come in on a narrow road and are then greeted by a no parking sign, but you just turn around and park along the road.

Ask the Community - Tres Sabores Winery

Is this vineyard convenient for a bike tour stop for older but reasonably healthy people (i.e., is it too hilly or to dangerous due to traffic to get there bu bike)?

this vineyard is off the main road up in the hills. It takes about 3-5minutes to drive. Lots of hills. So I will let you be the best judge of whether or not it would work for your group or not. Please note that you will need a reservation!

The cashiers at the wine purchasing area were not so helpful but the wine guy was really nice and gave me suggestions on how to store the bottle of Cab I bought which I plan to hold onto for awhile. Aging will diminish the tannins in the bottle, he said. Their bags and boxes might need to be fortified. I saw a woman with a box of 4 bottles where the box started to fall apart on her. The bag I had for the $60 bottle I bought didn't feel that secure so I cradled it with both hands as we left. Prices have clearly gone up for the wines. Hope to be back.

The barrel tasting was great and surprisinly all their wines are pretty drinkable right out of the barrell I suppose because they dont have much tannins so they dont need alot of tiem to mellow. I liked most of them but at $250 a botttle I felt they were way overpriced compared to other high end Napa area wines we are familiar with. After the cave tour they sit inside and you get to try several more wines so we had plenty to drink. I was not expecting a full size pizza for the two of us we already had lunch plan right after so we took most of it with us. Only bought two bottles of their less expensive wines at $95 each which is still a little high!! Probably wont be back since the value just isnt there for purchasing their wines but I do reccomend the tour.

November is the perfect time to wine taste in Napa in my opinion, it's not crowded but the weather is still so nice. Pros: - TRULY delicious wine. We did all reds and they started us off with a welcome Rose, which surprisingly was extremely good (it was more red than the typical rose) - Christian was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable asking questions even if the questions were super simple, I like that the place is boujee but doesn't give off an uppity vibe and the vibe of the staff really made me want to get more into wine knowledge! - extremely cute and aesthetic but simple vibes, the view upstairs speaks for itself so it doesn't require a ton of cheesy decor. Very relaxing environment - The top wines that stood out to me are the Rutherford Hillside 2015 and the legacy 2018. Ended up going home with a bottle of the legacy ($195 ish). - This was definitely the most "expensive" winery I've ever visited (based on bottle price) but I feel like I learned a ton about the winery, Napa in general, and everything tasted SO. GOOD. I have no regrets. - The breadsticks are so buttery and delicious. I 100% understand why my friends are members here. - Flora Springs was kind enough to let our friends' 20% discount apply to the bottles we took home! Which really makes a difference when the wines are 100-200 bucks each. But they do have some more "affordable" options to take home too in the 50-70 range. - Many spots to take cute photos - Kept our waters filled the whole time, let us take home free pens - Plenty of easy parking Cons: - none. 10/10 would love to come back and join the club when I make more money LOL
