Nick, the owner, usually answers the phone and is always pleasant and helpful. I was able to ask him a lot of questions to see if we can determine what the cause might be for not having enough hot water. We requested someone come over to see why we did not have enough hot water, CJ and Dalton came. Both these men were courteous, friendly, and knew their work! They found the problem and answered all our questions. They were honest. It was determined that a handyman we used to fix a leak four years ago must have accidentally switched the positions of the hot and cold water hoses behind our clothes washer. So, when I washed with what I thought was cold water, hot water was really coming out. Since the men were here,we also asked them to change our water valves to make it easier for us to turn off water in an emergency and they did that. We also showed them what we thought was a leak in the toilet of one of the bathrooms and they fix that too. Their attitude was great. They took care of everything for us The bill for the amount of time they were here, their supplies and valves was very reasonable. They installed our hot water heater two years ago and now they helped us with the plumbing behind our washer. We've been 100% pleased with their work each time. I definitely recommend All About Plumbing and will use them again for all our plumbing issues.

I had a third party pay for the water heater, and with no complaints they took the information, they emailed all details and warranties to the payor. They were quick and efficient. They cleaned the area before they left. I will use them for all of my plumbing needs. The water heater is working fine. My Problem: Last Thursday, I spent $100 to find out my 10…read moreyear old Trane compressor fried. The starting repair costs would be almost $4,000, however my usual HVAC company said the whole thing needed replacing. AWESOME! Just what I wanted to hear when we're expecting a foot of snow. Even better, he said Trane didn't make a model anymore that would fit in the existing closet. Solution: My Dad just had his entire system and duct work replaced about a month ago by Larry & Sons and they did a great job. So he told me to call them and see what a new system would run. Moe, the Sales Rep, came out that afternoon. He said he could fit a new system with the base models and the high efficiency ones. After going through the house, seeing what I had, didn't like currently, and what I wanted to have, we decided on one of the high-efficiency models, and got a final price worked out. Moe said they'd be here at 8:30AM on Wednesday. Problem Solved: Wednesday, right after we got a foot of snow, they showed up at 8:30AM (exactly) and went to work. They even brought in several heaters for me. These guys went above and beyond in every aspect of their work. They managed to do what Trane said wasn't possible. That evening, the foreman came up and told me they would have to come back and finish up the next day. They made sure we had plenty of heaters and cleaned up after themselves. Considering they'd been installing an all new system, in the freezing cold, and trudging through a ton of snow, you couldn't tell they'd been there. The next day they showed up again at 8:30AM promptly to finish. When they finished, they walked me through the house to make sure I was completely satisfied with each segment. They'd taken away all my old stuff. They'd dug my old cement pad out, where the outside fan sat, and built a new beautiful pad with about a foot of edging all the way around, surrounded by thick wood border. Next he showed me where they had installed some of the pipes and wires along the side of the house. It was well placed, and they even put a casing over the whole length that matched my vinyl siding. Then he showed me the closet where the main unit is. I couldn't believe my eyes. They'd removed all of Trane's equipment and connecting ducting. It looked like a laser had just gutted it and everything was new. He showed me how to change the filter, and where there was a light that kills anything that makes it through the filter. He showed me the return vents they enlarged upstairs to move the air better. Then he programmed the new LED thermostat, while showing me what he was doing so I could change it if I ever wanted. He turned the new system on and it was blowing nice and strong air; you could barely feel it before. The outside unit was just humming quietly. The past four days have been an amazing difference. The fan automatically adjusts how much air to push. It's even learning how long it takes for the temperature to change so when it comes to a time it's supposed to change (like being warmer in the morning), it actually starts the change gradually so it uses less power, and less noise. I'm sorry for such a long review, but I've never felt that just "It's great!" gives me any useful information. Larry & Sons did a fabulous job for my family. They put down floor protectors and wore booties over their boots, so when they were done, my house looks the same... plus a lot of well installed equipment.

We specifically called because our electric water heater had clearly caught fire. We even had photos showing the damage, so we weren't looking for someone to diagnose that it had burned up--we needed help with replacement and recommendations for the underlying tank issues. Instead, we were charged for a plumbing diagnostic, a water heater diagnostic, and a water sampling test, bringing the total to $150--three times what we were originally told. At no point before the technician performed these services were these additional charges explained or approved. I understand that diagnostic testing and water analysis have value, but customers deserve to know the costs upfront so they can make an informed decision. Clear communication and transparency about pricing would have made this a much better experience.

Last September Tony came alone to install our free-standing tub and floor mount faucet, a 2-person…read morejob. The tub is only held down by the drain and moves very easily when empty. The floor-mounted faucet installation was worse than I could've imagined. To start, he used a black Sharpie on our new tile, marking where he would cut the hole. Luckily, I went in to check on things while he was in the basement and discovered he was planning to cut the hole too far into the corner, which would have meant moving the tub, just so the water would make it into the tub. Then, the hole he cut into the tile was too large. To make matters worse, he used white caulk to fill the holes that weren't covered by the faucet base plate. Also, the faucet leans noticeably (see pic of level against it). Soon after he left, we discovered it was leaking. We also discovered he'd taken our brushed nickel overflow cover, which he was supposed to swap with the chrome cover, as well as the chrome drain he removed to install the brushed nickel drain. My guess is he was hurrying to leave before my husband returned home to see his sloppy work. We called him back to stop the leak and to return the overflow and drain. I want to ask him if that sloppy installation would be acceptable in his home, if he was paying someone his hard-earned money to do it. I paid him, but really shouldn't have. Now we have to uninstall all of it and hire someone else to replace the ruined tile and reinstall the faucet, properly. The pictures say it all. Unless you just want pipes installed, look elsewhere.

We were looking for a high efficiency heat pump water heater and decided…read moreon a GE Profile Geospring heat pump unit which had an MSRP of $2900 (which should include markup) according to the GE website. We contacted A+ Plumbing because they were an authorized GE dealer and looked to have good reviews. They ordered one for us and contacted us when it came in to schedule installation. We never received a quote, we figured it should be around MSRP. On day of installation price was not discussed when they arrived so we were shocked when they completed and gave us the invoice with a charge for the unit of $4748 not the expected $2900. The cost of labor seemed fair to us and they were clean, neat and quick but we were SHOCKED at the invoice total. We were in a hurry to leave for an appointment, and with the heater installed, we felt all we could do was pay and get going. To further the pricing issue, my brother was so impressed with our water heater he ordered one online using our EXACT model number and received the same water heater for $1900. In fact, there are a number of appliance dealers on- line that are in the $2000 to $2500 range. When I contacted the owner of A+ Plumbing, he defended the price charged as middle man mark up and said that the unit my brother purchased would have been inferior because it was a different model number. Again, it is the exact same unit as there is no trailing letters like you would see if it had been manufactured as a specifically for a chain such as Costco, Wayfair, or Amazon. I did ask what A+'s cost was and they said they would check but we have not heard back. So, based on what we know, we were charged 165% mark-up above MSRP and roughly 240% of what we could have paid for the unit online.

Zach came out same day and diagnosed the well pump failure and also the pressure tank. They had a team at the house early the next day and had the water back on before they left. I also asked them to replace the pitless adapter when I returned, which they did promptly. Zach, Justin, and Landon (as well as Phil the owner) were fabulous! They were great at explaining things, were on time and courteous. I highly recommend RT for Plumbing and HVAC also.

I appreciate that Mellott Plumbing was able to come out the same day and arrived when they said…read morethey would, which was helpful in an urgent situation. However, my experience overall was disappointing. The plumber accessed the wrong cleanout that wasn't connected to my home, was unable to clear the blockage, and diagnosed the issue as roots in the pipes. I was charged almost $600 for this service. I decided to get a second opinion, and the other plumber found that there were no roots in the pipes (confirmed with a camera inspection) and was able to clear the blockage successfully. When I called Mellott Plumbing to explain the situation and request a partial refund, they did issue a refund, which I appreciated. While I'm thankful for the refund and their prompt response, the initial misdiagnosis and incorrect approach caused unnecessary stress and expense. I hope they take this feedback as an opportunity to improve their service in the future.
