Parking takes some patience on a Saturday afternoon - but once we started up the parking ramp and saw what a snarl it was, we were already committed. Is backing into the space a new trend? We saw (and waited) for at least 10 cars to back into their spot - this was the entire reason for the traffic jam. But once parked, it's just a quick jaunt over to the second floor entrance. Of the theaters I've been to in the Sacramento area, this one is head and shoulders above the rest. The staff is engaging (call out to Ethan scanning tickets) . The management of this location has brought together a team that enjoy helping the patrons and appear to enjoy working as a team. There was some training going on while we were there and the suggestions given by fellow team members were thoughtful and - this is the big thing I noticed -were received in a welcome manner. The concession stand was well maintained and the crew was busy tidying up after what looked like a crush of people. I do love that I can get a glass of wine at the theater. There a small section with high tops and chairs to sit with a glass of wine or actual onsite made to order appetizers/starters. The theater itself was super tidy, reclining seats are comfortable and the sound system was perfect. The bathrooms were immaculate. I didn't see a single stall out of order, and after what had been a full day of use, every thing was well stocked and very clean. What I'm going to remember, and what going to bring me back to this location, is the staff.

As a kid my father was a PBA bowler and we would travel up and down the west coast hitting up all…read morethe bowling alleys along the way-so since I was a kid who had little interest in bowling,I spent a crazy amount of time in the arcades at these bowling alleys. So began the lifelong love affair with pinball machines. You can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this bar/gaming room with the funny German sounding name when I realized it was a glorified pinball arcade room that also served beer. This place is straight amazing-50+ of the greatest pinball machines are available to play. They do use the "game-card" system to pay for these games, which can make playing these games way too easy-games tend to cost about $1 a game in game credits to play, which is far more than I paid when I was an 8 year old kid but then again, that was 45 years ago. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly. One massive upgrade I've learned in the pinball world is nowadays you can download an app by Stern Inc,the majority manufacturer of most of the popular pinball machines and you can register your pinball play and it will keep tabs of everywhere u play and all the scores u achieved on the various pinball machines-I really enjoyed this feature-I only wish they had this when I was in my prime of pinball play when I was a youth. This place doesn't have the best hours but I'm sure there is a reason for these hours-M-F the hours are 5p-10p and on weekends they open at 12p... In closing-If you ever find yourself in the Rocklin area and you get a yearning to try out your pinball machine skills-I couldn't recommend this spot any higher as they are a very unique spot offering a truly awesome experience-a trip down memory lane for some and a whole new world for the younger generation-You should get out there and have some fun. PS-I failed to mention this place is very family friendly-on my particular visit the place was flooded with kids from elementary to high school age honing their pinball machine skills and enjoying every minute of it.

Games are very clean and in excellent playing condition. There's also Stern leaderboards visible along with their own leaderboards for solid state (older) games, which I've never seen anywhere else. The whole space is clean and welcoming. It's loud, but that's because it's a pinball spot. The staff are super friendly and provide great service. The mac n' cheese bites I had last week were freshly prepared (from scratch), cooked to order, piping hot, and totally delicious--and also under $10. The beers and ciders on tap are all mostly from small, local makers and under $10/pint. They also have plenty of NA drink options. If you're a pinball person, I dare you to find a more accommodating spot for playing and vibing out. If you're not a pinball person, this is a great place to fall in love with the game.

In spite of the scorching heat, I managed to keep hydrated. What I loved was the friendly vendors, the food, the volunteer and greeters. I wasn't fond of the loudness of the crowds, the rowdiness and music. The free water and very clean portapotties was a plus. What I didn't like was the event was very unorganized. Once you got your wrist band for general admission, there was no direction on where to go or what to do. No one to guide you and no signage. We figured out that we needed to wait before 1pm hit and only VIP had access to get in sooner but folks were aimlessly wandering. Some general admissions coming in early and the rest waiting. The security guard standing there at the entrance could have done his job by notifying all nonVIP no access. I'm a smoker and asked the young security guard at the food area where to go to smoke, he asked his head boss and his head boss asked his boss. I was told to smoke outside of the event only and that ins and outs were indeed allowed. As I exited the event to have my cigarette, I asked again one of the ladies who were issuing wrist bands at the entrance area if I was good to go out for a smoke and come back in and was told yes again. So after I tried to come back in, I was stopped by a Spade Security man. He was extremely rude and asked what I was doing and if I showed ID already. I said yes and I explained I went to have a cigarette and coming back in. I showed my wrist band. He said I can not come back in. When I tried to explain to him what I was told, he cut me off and said, "I don't care!" Finally he said he would let me back in this once but "dont do it again". I get that he's security but throwing around your power like that will get you major karma. It sounds to me like rules were not made clear to all staff and there was so much disorganization. I will never come back to this event.

There were 5 of us in our party and we had a reservation. We had to wait for a little while, and we were completely fine with that. There were some leagues going on and it was fun to watch them. It was pretty busy, but not overly crowded. After about a 10 minute wait our lane was ready. We were told that they didn't have any regular lanes available, but there was a private room that had a couple of lanes in it and they were putting us there if that was OK. We were totally OK with it! We got everything set up, and picked out our balls. A waitress came in and took our drink orders and everything was great! We were in our second frame when an employee came in and rudely asked us why we were bowling there and who had put us on that lane. We explained what had happened earlier and she said that was wrong and we weren't allowed to be in there because there was a birthday party booked. We went to the front desk to clear everything up and we were told we had to move to another lane, but we had to wait for one again. When we went back to get our stuff the other party had arrived and was giving us nasty looks like WE had squatted on that lane without permission. It was pretty humiliating especially because we did nothing wrong. When we finally got a new lane we asked to have our game/time restarted and even though they said yes, it never happened. The drinks we had originally ordered finally made their way to us about 30 minutes into our new game due to a lot of confusion over our new location. We ended up ordering a pizza and the signature sampler. Neither were anything special and basically just filled our bellies. Honestly we tried to shake it, but everything that happened just kinda put a damper on the rest of the night. I think it was the fact that when we went to the front we got a half-assed oh sorry 'bout that, and nobody seemed to really care. I think the cherry on top was when we were finishing our second game the kids from the lane next to us started bowling on our lane! Hahaha I think it just wasn't our night!!
