I went a few years ago for a root canal. I had Dr. Michael and he was great. I was very nervous and have had some health issues related to dental work and my heart in the past. He was very calm and understanding, and walked through procedure at a great pace. I felt no pain, and he and his nurse were very attentive to make sure I was comfortable. They make root canals painless! I had gone to see my dentist Monday for a toothache. My dentist thought I just had a mouth infection and prescribed me some antibiotics. One sleepless night later due to pain and I was looking for a second opinion. Luckily my dentist referred me to Tri City Endodontics. They squeezed me into their schedule for a late afternoon appointment but due to my immense pain, they brought me into the office in the morning just to apply numbing agents so I wouldn't be hurting all day. EVERYONE was friendly - the receptionists, the nurses and the doctors themselves. They smile, they answer questions and they even chat with your family members/friends who are there with you. After having a crown replaced at my regular dentist, I was still in pain and I went back to my regular dentist and he said there was a 40% chance I would need a root canal. He tried to adjust my bite on the crown. When I got home, the Novocain wore off about 8:30pm and I was in dire pain. My dental anxiety is extreme. I left a message on the after-hours line and Dr. Brown returned my call quickly. He was kind and empathetic. He ordered a prescription right away so that the pain would be reduced. He spoke with Dr. Sherman, who was expecting me first thing the next morning. Then, he texted me at 6am, to see how I was feeling! I went into the office at 7:45am and they checked the tooth and numbed me up until they could get me in. I came back at 3:00pm and the root canal procedure was flawless. Dr. Sherman was kind and calm. He was so precise that I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Brown contacted me the next day (a Saturday) to make sure I was doing ok. Hands down, I wouldn't let anyone else complete this procedure on me. I recommend them highly. read more

I was referred here because a root canal kept giving me pain, yet the x-rays looked normal. Tri-City has a 3-D scan machine, that can look at the tooth from all angles, and this scan immediately showed the problem: an unusual branch in the root of that tooth, that had not gotten cleaned out. Dr. Monroe was exceptionally honest and upfront with me, and explained that because of the weird angle of that root branch a second root canal was likely not to succeed either, and that the solution would be either an apicoectomy or removal of the tooth. I was totally freaked out by the idea of the apicoectomy, which is why I initially asked him to try a second root canal, even though chances for success were slim. But when that one failed (as predicted) and there was no other option, Dr. Monroe was just amazing, he walked me through the procedure step by step, calmed my fears, and performed the operation flawlessly. The tooth finally settled down, and I had no issues whatsoever from the apicoectomy. So, when I needed another root canal, I went straight back to this office. Again, everything went well, and I do appreciate how Dr. Monroe keeps the patient current on what's happening, what he is doing, where he is at in the procedure. It makes it almost seem a team effort, rather than you being a helpless gagged piece of meat in the chair. Root canals are such a dreadful thing to endure, and so costly - having them fail is just awful. The people here truly know what they're doing. Honestly, my root canal experience was amazing. Kinda counterintuitive for a root canal to be amazing, but Dr. Monroe really knows his stuff. They have all new technology and really make you feel at ease when having a not-so-fun procedure. My dentist referred me to Dr. Monroe and I'm glad he did. Staff was friendly, office is nice and redone, plus their explanation of the entire process was great. I like to know a lot about what's going on, and they were happy to fill me in along the way. They also play great music (not boring elevator music) throughout the facility, which makes the procedure go better. I didn't have much pain after the procedure and all my sensitivities went away almost immediately. Luckily, I didn't even need antibiotics or pain killers - just some basic Advil or Tylenol did the trick. Would gladly recommend this group to anyone needing an invasive procedure. read more

**Wishing I could award more stars** My 9 year-old son has had very intense dental anxiety his whole life to the extent that we had to have him put under general anesthetic to get several fillings completed. Dr. Sherman was able to get him in quickly, the office staff and environment is very nice and professional, and Dr. Sherman's warm and funny style put my son so at ease that he was the calmest I've ever seen him heading into a dental procedure. The work he did is top-notch, and we were put hugely at-ease when he told my wife that he did the work on my son with the level of care he would provide for his own kiddo. As someone who has had multiple root canals, I can honestly say Dr. Brown at Tri City Microendodontics did a phenomenal job! In addition to making me feel comfortable about the looming procedure, he was able to painlessly and quickly perform a root canal on my front right tooth. We just received a COLLECTION NOTICE from Systematic National Collection, Inc. I told them I never received a bill and they said and I quote, "THIS IS THE BILL, some dental and medical practices have all their billing done through collections"....SERIOUSLY! and there is "interest" added. I saw Dr. Sherman today. Down to earth, humble, and personable guy. He does not take on a "I'm the professional and you're the patient" attitude. I went in with a referral from Diamond Dental (also a great experience) because of some pain I've been having on a tooth that I've had a root canal performed on twice in the past, many years ago. X-rays did not show anything suspicious. Dr. Sherman was honest and told me that from what he sees on the 2-dimensional x-ray, whomever performed my root canal did a great job. He spoke with me about a 3-D x-ray and I opted for it as it would show the bone and nerves. The 3-D was clear and he explained that the tooth I was complaining about shows zero evidence of swelling or infection. He then went further on to explain that many times the nerve endings that send signals to our brains on which tooth is in pain gets jumbled. Some patients come in complaining of top teeth hurting but it's a bottom tooth that is infected. He then informed me of what other dentists have told me in the past (but I have put off)- remove one of my wisdom teeth that is impacting other teeth. I'd definitely recommend this office for anyone that needs a root canal specialist! And, when I was checking out the receptionist informed may they give 20% discount to military off their copay! :) read more

I have just completed a root canal procedure done by Dr. Natalia Finn. Without reservation and with great enthusiasm, I can endorse and recommend her. From the beginning it was apparent that the well being and comfort of her patients were of prime importance to her. She is skilled in her craft. Being in the dental field I can attest to the fact that his technical accuracy is unmatched as he is known to be a perfectionist. He's also an all around nice guy easy to talk to and very knowledgable. I had a bad toothache on a weekend and my regular dentist arranged for me to see Dr. Sherman on a weekend. He and a dental assist (who's name I unfortunately don't remember) took time away from their families to help me--and I really needed help. Dr. Sherman took a lot of care in trying to identify the sensitive tooth, but in the end he and I were uncertain about which tooth was the culprit. It would have been easy for him to risk making a mistake by guessing. No one would have known but him--but he refused to take the risk and informed me that we would have to wait until the problem gave a clearer indication of the source. I came for a follow-up appointment 2 days later. We discovered that the problem tooth was not the one that had originally seemed to be source of my pain, so it was my good fortune that he delayed the work. My follow-up appointment was set up in a hurry so it came late in the day. For this reason Dr. Sherman originally planned to start the work then and finish it a day later. This would allow he and his dental assistant, Ivana, to go home at a reasonable hour. As he got into the work he realized that it was going to go slowly because it was in an awkward location. He could also see that I was very anxious about the procedure. So he and Ivana stayed late to take of my aching tooth and my anxious brain.Throughout this process Ivana was giving me comfort and kind encouragement. They both clearly put the welfare of their patient before their own comfort and convenience--the very definition of what it means to be a professional. I had a car accident and Dr. Anne Wiseman treated me and my teeth in a very professional, technical and pain free way, she has excellent chair side manners and even will take the time to talk to the insurer carrier of the vehicle that crash into us.This is not the first root canal I have, I had many, mostly by General practice Dds, even though Endodontist are more expensive than general Dds they are well worth it. read more

My son had a dental anomaly that required immediate attention because he is studying abroad and was only home for 11 days for the holidays. Even though my son was a new patient, Dr. Sherman called me personally to discuss my son's situation, and he worked late on two occasions during the holidays to make sure that my son received the treatment that he needed. In addition, the staff in the Vista office, and Lauren in particular, have been kind and accommodating of our time constraints and my concerns. With a large family, we have seen many dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and maxillofacial surgeons (wisdom teeth), and I can honestly say that our experience with Tri City Microendodontics and Dr. Sherman is at the top of the list. read more
