So another update. The drainage that they put in really does the job well. Hidden and drains and stuff. Stood up well to the pounding rains the last couple of weeks. The materials are still solid. The putting green did relax and the wrinkles are not too noticeable. I would have selected a better product now that I look back at it. Working with Victor has been a terrible experience. When it comes to getting the job he's all nice and smiles but shortly afterwards you are exposed to his real character. He is extremely unorganized and rude. Either shows up late to the job or doesn't come at all or give you an update to let you know he won't be coming. I'm having an issue with weeds and he has told me for one month now that he is going to fix it. After not showing up 2-3 times I continued to call him and he is purposely ignoring my calls. Used Victor and his team to transition from real lawn to fake turf and so happy we did. He was reliable and on time daily and his workers dug out weeds and rocks for days before laying the final turf. The job really turned out beautiful and he was also so helpful in helping me to create and design my yard to be ergonomically friendly with less water and succulent plants. He even went out of his way to meet me at a beautiful nursery in Moorpark and transport the plants & rocks to my home for the final touches. The job took longer than the original time frame he provided that created some challenges with other work being done for our remodel, but in the end it worked out, just felt a little rushed in the end, but worked it all out in the end. Well, now the old Bermuda grass is growing through my new lawn. I've learned that Bermuda is a difficult grass to kill and now I'm realizing that they didn't even attempt to kill the old lawn. All they did was dig it up and put sod on top of the dirt. Bermuda lives in the dirt and will keep growing. My new lawn care guy tells me that the Bermuda will completely take over my lawn within a year or two. I'm so happy I spent thousands of dollars to replace my front lawn only to have my old lawn take over. Victor will absolutely not return my calls. read more

Victor is an INCREDIBLE landscaper. I interviewed several companies before hiring him to completely redo our backyard. He was by far the most knowledgeable and professional. We have been in our house for 35 years and have had many, many contractors for various jobs throughout that time. He is the BEST one I have ever hired!!! This was a job that most landscapers told me would take at least 3 weeks. Victor did it in one week and we LOVE what he did. He has a big crew and they can do pretty much anything. (hardscape, landscape, artificial turf, sod, trees, etc. etc.) He was at our house every day at 7:00 A.M. and didn't quit until 3:30. The transformation was incredible !!! He is very reasonably priced and you'll definitely get what you pay for. I was impressed with all the equipment he has, which enabled him to do any sized job . He told me he did 220 houses last year as well as several schools and I believe him. He is so conscientious and has a keen eye for efficient landscape design. We wanted to replace our old lawn with new sod grass but we also wanted to cut down on the watering. We wanted a drought tolerant backyard. So he put in a drip system UNDER our lawn to save on water and to be more efficient as well. He put in solar valves for the water system. He also cut down on the size of the lawn, with drought tolerant plants around the smaller lawn. He also rebuilt a small block wall we have and it came out great! ( he has one employee that specializes in any type of hardscape). I'm telling you this guy can do ANYTHING! I decided to do a short one minute video with clips I took throughout the job. He was fast, tidy, prompt, and professional we have been very happy with the work. A few weeks ago I hired him and his crew again. This time to replace a water wasting turf front yard with a living, low water environment we designed. We wanted something different than the Palm Springs, Scottsdale, Arizona look and explained what we were going for. Mr Martinez installed synthetic turf in my front yard and installed it incorrectly (in several strips) which is incorrect. He came back and reinstalled it correctly. I figured he was a decent contractor since he corrected his mistake. I then hired him to do some gardening around the house and he made promises and never completed the job. Just had Victor and his crew out to do our back yard. I had already removed the old grass and cut grade. I was totally burnt out on doing this when I found his card stapled to a piece of super nice turf on my driveway. I thought it would be really expensive but called anyway. He gave me a price that I thought was very fair but still a lot to come up with. After talking with my wife we realized that if I did it myself I would save about $1000. It would take me several weekends with what would likely be quite a few challenges. I hired him to install base, DG and turf. He also reseeded an area of my front yard after final grading it (my skid steer beat it up during demo) he fixed my sprinklers, installed a drip system and when they were done they even lifted a playset over my gate into my back yard for me. Then he gave me a $300 discount, said it was a pleasure working with me, super cool. I'm a contractor as well, I pride myself on quality and taking care of clients. He set the bar, absolutely.
