This required us to do an almost complete re-landscaping of our yard. Fortunately we found Brooks. My wife and I are not green-thumbs. Brooks was able to come in and provide a design that we ended up loving. He worked with us to incorporate design elements we liked as well as working with the company doing the final inspection for our fire certificate to make sure his designs would comply with the rules to get the certificate. He even came out for a video conference to make sure we understood all the rules that needed to be followed for planting. He also worked directly with our HOA when there were questions about the design and what we needed to submit to them for approval. Brooks' crew was extremely efficient and friendly and Brooks was on site multiple times each week once work started to make sure things were going as planned. He was also very flexible, there were a couple of extra projects we threw out last minute that we thought we might as well do while we were redesigning things and he didn't have a problem with anything. The final price was also just about exactly what he quoted us up front. Overall Brooks was a pleasure to work with and we love the final product. I decided to combine fire recovery with a transition to a more drought and fire resistant landscape. A person I knew suggested Donna Hamner of Nuscape Design. First she brought in a crew to clear the burned plants and plant a burned hillside. Next, after some pavers were installed, the crew replaced the burn area with a landscape that resembles natural vegetation. They also repaired the irrigation system and changed it to a drip system. I was pleased with the design and the work. I think the new design will improve the overall appearance of the property for years to come There was good follow up to make sure everything was working properly.
