There's a lounge, priority boarding, free food and drinks, comfortable seating onboard, fast-speed wifi, For that, it's convenient to take a train for a little over 3 hours (Miami-Orlando) vs flying. My most recent visit to Brightline Station in Aventura, I was catching a shuttle to go to Hard Rock Stadium aka Miami Stadium for the World Cup. There were two lines. The staff at my line took forever to scan people's tickets that the other line already filled 2 buses! And they were people at the back of the line! There was no shade, no water. Just free alcoholic beverages you have to post on social media. You have to pay for water, sunscreen - basic things they give away for free at other transportation stations in cities that hosted the World Cup! I anticipated you can't catch an Uber from this station after the game. I was right. But the cops were on a total power trip yelling at people "you can't get Uber here!" And the crowd was yelling back at the cops - what a hot mess! The crowd was just walking away from the station so, how did the cops even assume they got Uber?!? LOL.

When I saw the driver approach the locked bus marked 150, I simply asked "excuse me, but is this 150 bus active?" And all this woman said was "is that what he told you?" referencing my husband who was next to me, then proceeded to go into her bus and close the doors. A few minutes later the bus changed its designation to "Garage" picked up passengers from the 150 stop and took off. It takes zero effort to be polite and answer a question (do your job). I was gobsmacked.

I was on the bus thinking I'm leaving Miami Dade to go to Tri-Rail but I came back to where I was just picked up. I was trying to go take the bus and get off at the main downtown city. Luckily, there were nice passengers that noticed I was a lost tourist so they helped me out and said, 'yes you're on the correct bus, just stay on.' And they let me know which stop to get off of. I felt safe on the bus then with the helpful passengers around me. I suggest changing the map that's hanging on the bus. It was so confusing because I was looking for a Bus# and couldn't see any bus #'s on the actual train where the license plate is, nothing. I usually have no problem getting around and can follow a map, but the announcements weren't in sync with the Bus # I was trying to find and something was just completely off. Hopefully this gets fixed.

Mind you I paid $350 extra for the upgrade. So not worth it just FYI. They are severely lacking in customer service, seems to be a foreign language to its employees;) Food and ride were nice though;)

The only thing I want to make a recommendation about is the elevators move too slow. So if the train is coming and you're waiting for the elevator to come down to take you up to get to Track 2, good luck. You're better off taking the stairs. No bathrooms on premises. Would be a great idea to have some vending machines here.

The main criticism is that the trains don't come frequently enough! As to the actual station, as usual for a Tri-Rail station there's not enough benches... or trash cans. The Metro-side's construction often takes too long and I'm seriously concerned about the accessibility as a result. In addition, there's also so much anxiety if the train is coming and the trains don't run late enough. But it's such a net positive to have rail options (with signage and audio message in three (3!) languages) in this urban-surburban-car-dominated-megaopolis - and I support it fully and want MORE investment in stations like this to make it better - and have two lines cross like this is superb.

The station is located at the intersection of West 27th Avenue (SR 9) and North 62nd Street/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. It opened in 1985. My kids and I took the train from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale Airport. It cost us $5/ person and was very easy. You have to take a tram at MIA to the Transportation Center to catch the train. It is very easy to find. You just have to follow the signs. I purchased my tickets on the platform via a machine. We had our luggage with us, too, and there were no issues. The train was clean and was pretty wide open. It was also right on schedule, and they had armed security on the train. People bring their bikes on the train and secure them on racks. Once we got to the Fort Lauderdale Airport Station, we had to take a bus to the actual airport. The bus was packed, but it was only like a 5-minute ride. My little and I really enjoyed the ride. As I mentioned, it was a very easy and relaxing ride. It was a very easy and relaxing ride. I will be using this train a lot to get between FLL and MIA from now on.

These commuter trains have two levels and most of them have one car dedicated to placing bicycles, with the appropriate racks inside the car. The Tri-Rail connects Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The Tri prefix in the name refers to the three counties served by the railroad: Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade. Tri-Rail is managed by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) along CSX Transportation's former Miami Subdivision, the line is now wholly owned by the Florida DOT.
