In regard to your response Frank I'll expose again why no one should use you. To start I used you…read moreafter the break issue we resolved to give you a shot. I bring up that brake issue because it eventually became a pattern of dropping the ball, and repeated issues 1. My car had to be towed because basic logic well known issue for GMC/Chevy 6.2 liter V8 engines have a lifter issue which requires engine replacement. The car wasn't in bad shape as you say. Cadillac dealership said I should have it towed due to the knocking sound. My car has always been kept immaculate. Yes you quoted a fair price, it was Lambs in Lakeway that was ridiculous and most people know they are. The engine took long because they sent the wrong engine and in regards to my finances it wasn't I couldn't pay . I was at the mercy of you and I was nothing but polite every single interaction with you. Your dropped the ball so many times and you actually asked me for advance payment at one point because you needed to pay your taxes . I didn't want to pay you UPFRONT Frank. You fix then pay, that's most every way it's done . You didn't have the money to cover costs which is a concern regarding running a business. I had also just spent money on another car repair and boat repairs . The car sat as I decided what I wanted to do. As far as stating you could have charged me storage you never once mentioned that and I have every phone call that proves that. Pretty shady of you to pull that out on your reply here. Again not on single time did you ever mention storage fees. So please don't act as if it was some favor you did. The car went in for an engine replacement. As you confirmed the day you put the engine in to test drive you call me telling me I need steering column replacement. Yes I have you on recording Frank stating that indeed the lift and big tires were the culprit. The steering was completely fine and it had not been driven once per you as we waited for the engine issue and replacement to be resolved. You now understand why I recorded you. You can't remember what you told me. I didn't struggle to pay you. I had a boat in repair and another car a Range Rover in repair. I communicated to you very professionally. By the way let's remember you had me pay up front on everything. It was the engine that was ordered that was delayed. 2. Regarding the transmission line. Let the public see this post. I pick up my car from Frank and I make it about a quarter to half a mile or so down road and what becomes the problem is the transmission line. Frank I have that call to you recorded as well and your claim that I accelerated or false and blew the line is total BS. It had nothing to do with big tires. I'm saving all my facts, statements from GM certified techs , and video of your guy coming over to "fix" it. Within a day or 2 it went out again and I made you tow it for free. It was your guy that you sent and had him do what he did and sent me on my way and that all was fine only to have it sent back to you. By the way on our recorded call you tried to lead me to believe with certainty it was one thing when in fact you were wrong and called me with another reason. Again grateful I recorded both those conversations. The reputable mechanics I discussed were my brothers out of Houston. My brother owns a professional garage and luxury and collector car biz for 22 years. The other reputable people was a connection I had out of A Cadillac dealer in Dallas. I mentioned this to you and so logically my car stayed locally with you. 3. The whole issue about you spending 200 for the detail I will just say to anyone reading this look at the pics of my Escalade left in his care. Never should have happened Frank. By the way I took a time stamp video of my car before it went back to you. I didn't spill the oil. That's a regular engine oil. Why would I need engine oil to leave in my backseat after you just repaired and did an engine replacement. Again shady of you to blame that on me. And by the way I had to waste 3 hours of my work day sitting there waiting on a detail. Completely unprofessional. 4. I asked you you fix my windshield wiper motor while you had it. You never did. I kept asking you very time you had the car and I have your texts alone that show you forgot several times. same thing Frank regarding the transmission thermostat. I asked you several times, you came out to fix my running board and forgot to get the transmission thermostat and windshield motor. Again pretty crazy you fixed my transmission yet our texts show you dropping the ball on the thermostat. I have lost count on the amount of texts I have that show you never show up on time. I'm done with my response. I'll update this post after claims court.

He explained the trans service, recommended a few fixes that were actually needed; a rarity today. A super great, no pressure experience. Oh, I forget the name of the fella who did the service but he did not take too long to get it all done, little to no wait time for the flush, full new filter. I was so stressed, I forgot his name sorry, I wanted to mention him too as he is apart of this outstanding team!! The price was outstanding!! I highly recommend this shop!! Firestone will never steal my money again. This is my new transmission shop. Y'all get your work done at Oj's you will not go wrong!! Peace out!!! Tracy D Mack an actual satisfied customer!!

The address Maps and Google will give you turns you down a cul-de-sac, but the garage is actually on the opposite side behind a massive church. I first found OJ's when I had my transmission serviced by another auto shop only to realize they just had my vehicle towed to OJ's for the work! This time I cut out the middle man and called OJ's directly. They had me scheduled quickly to come in the next day and worked around my schedule, surprisingly. Look, transmission work isn't cheap, but OJ's price was competitive and well worth the peace of mind you get knowing you've got experts handling the work. I wouldn't think twice about returning, but I am confident I won't need to for at least another hundred thousand miles!

I love having transmission problems... Said no one ever…read more After 89,000 miles, the 6L80 transmission in my 2017 Suburban decided to say "Bye Felicia." Since transmission problems were unchartered territory for myself here in New Braunfels, I did not have the first clue where to take our high maintenance pavement princess. Not knowing any better, and against my better judgement, I had my Suburban towed to the local Chevrolet dealer. After receiving a quote higher than Willie Nelson, some friends of ours recommended Brinkkoeter Transmissions. With nothing to lose, other than another tow bill, I called the tow truck and had her towed to Brinkkoeter. Just after a couple days, and our wallet a little lighter, our baby was back on the road again. Backed by a guarantee better than the factory with a 3 year/100,000 warranty. Doyle also informed us that the dealer had probably neglected to tell us that our particular transmission had undergone 6 software updates that GM had failed to notify us about. This probably will be the last GM product I ever buy, but I digress.... The customer service was top notch, the communication was great, and the overall experience was great. They also saved us a lot of money compared to the dealership. While I hope I never have to use Brinkkoeter ever again, I highly recommend anyone who needs transmission work. They made my pain a little more bearable, and had me back on the road again quick. Apparently this place has been around a while and I had never heard of them until now. Enjoy!
