(We had to run to catch it because we showed up at the other place! We bought tickets online and didn't note the address) It lasts approximately 1 hour, and was very informative. Our tour guide and driver was Johnny, who was both informative and funny. This is a great way to learn a lot about Galena, its history, restaurants, etc in a relatively short period of time. Your tour encompasses stops, etc on both sides of the Galena River. Very nicely done..

The largest is called the Master Suite, and the others are named after the original owners daughters. We stayed in the "Eleanor" room, which is the smallest of the rooms. We came on Christmas Day and were the only people there. Rita, the innkeeper, was extremely pleasant, accommodating and helpful. She told us the history of the house, how she became the ninth owner and also helped us find the only restaurant open on Christmas within a 30 mile radius. She then gave us a gift of local wine and a tiny Christmas ornament. So great! Another thing I appreciated about this B&B is when I was looking up places in Galena, I noticed a rather disturbing trend of a lot of places having beautiful buildings, but then were either ridiculously expensive or else inside things got really hokey. Like with in room jacuzzi tubs or everything Super Girly with pink and lace exploding everywhere. Thanks for keeping it simple & elegant, Hellman, we are excited to come back again.

Great friends (with the "ugliest tree sweaters" in the attached photo) organized it for us, and it turned out to be one of the most fun and memorable experiences we've had! Devin was an outstanding host--knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about Galena's food scene. The tour was perfectly paced, the food stops were excellent, and the holiday twist made it even better. The ugly sweater theme added so much energy and laughter, and Devin leaned into it in a way that made everyone feel relaxed and included. What really made the experience special was the atmosphere. We went with great friends, had a blast together, and also met wonderful new people along the way. It felt less like a "tour" and more like a festive day out with friends--old and new. If you're looking for a fun, social, and delicious way to experience Galena--especially around the holidays--this tour is a must. I've been on food tours where they give you a few bites of something - not here, this was a super generous amount of food. Everything in this tour is connected to honey somehow. Classic things you know your'e going to like (honey lemonade yes please!), but unique things I wouldn't have tried on my own too. Everything was delicious. There was a full wine tasting at one of the stops, with I think 5-6 different wine/alcohol samples and a super educational explanation by the owner. And it finished with a honey tasting led by Dry Creek Beekeeping. That was really fun - I never thought honey could taste so different! And of course a glass of mead. And last but definitely not least, Devin the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable both about food and the history of Galena. It was part history tour, part food tour, and he was an awesome guide in both. He had such a natural way in front of the group, and was nice to chat with along the way too. This is a must-do tour during your visit. It was our family's favorite thing we did on our trip. Come hungry!!

Garden is beautiful and paths wander through the property and around some houses. Not difficult to walk unless stairs and uneven terrain are a challenge for you. Guide is nice and doesn't automatically tell you what the plants are unless you are interested. Not a professional botanical garden or scientific lecture but a relaxing way to enjoy flowers shade and waterfalls for an hour with a small town local feel.
