She was scheduled with the groomer, Danielle, who was the rudest human being I have ever met. I did not feel comfortable leaving my dog alone with her, so I walked around the store and watched her groom my dog. When my dog was ready to be picked up, she complained that I watched and said I made my dog more anxious. My dog couldn't see me, as her back was to the wall, and I believe Danielle was mad that I watched because she knew she wasn't doing right by her. She cut my dog's quick and also gave her a rash on her stomach. When I told the store, they gave me a refund, but nobody cared that my dog was harmed, instead, they made excuses. My dog has had her nails trimmed countless times and NEVER has been cut, and they told me this is normal. She also has white nails where you can literally see the quick so there's no excuse. My dog is now limping and has a bright red belly with bumps all over it, so clearly the upgraded package did NOTHING. I will NEVER bring my dog back here and will NEVER shop here again. The staff is completely unprofessional, rude, and ignorant. My dog was treated poorly, and when I brought it to the attention of the staff, I was then treated poorly. If you decide to risk bringing your dog here, just make sure Danielle doesn't get a hold of it.

I looked at the owner's website www.camp-ruff.com which describes their facility as a "lux camp" for dogs and puppies. I was intrigued and called for an appt to view the property and see the operations. I was met by the Camp Director/Owner, a delightful, sincere woman named Lucinda. She greeted me and my dog and proceeded to show me the camp home, which is divided into sections based on the needs and behaviors of the various dogs she was boarding. She listened to my description of my dogs needs, habits and observed her to judge how she would behave w other dogs. One by one she let a dog out from the house, where they have their "sleep over", cautiously to see what my dog would do. As the animals were about my dog's size everyone seemed to accept each other. Great news! Lucinda decided to take the next step by taking my dog w the small pack for some exercise on the trail in the woods behind the house. The dogs were running around having a great time which relieved my anxiety that my dog might not like to be off leash but she was running and getting some great exercise and learning to enjoy the pack mentality. No fighting or misbehaving, perfect! Lucinda works tirelessly to pamper the pooches morning and night. Morning feedings, evening feedings, medications and always careful observations of the pets. They all sleep like happy babies when the day ends in a real home environment. Prices are in line and reasonable I think for an overnight stay of $44 including feeding, walking, playtime and careful observation by someone who is highly qualified and very knowledgeable of pet behavior. All animals come in contact w other pets only when owner has documentation for boarding such as rabies vaccination, bordetello. This place is a well thought out and safe place to leave your precious pet while you are away. So relax, they got your back!

However , since I started here it seems they have a turnover in help and now seem to clearly be understaffed. I was told to drop him off at 8:00 am. He was there for over 6 hours before I was called to pick him up. I was very unhappy and told her this was unacceptable. I had told the owner from the beginning I did not want him kept crated more than needed. If they are taking so many dogs that it takes them this long to get them complete, they clearly should be timing the drop offs so they are not having to crate them over this long of a period. I have never had my dogs in groomers more than 3 1/2-4 hours tops! Her answer was that there were only 2 of them working that day. Clearly they had more than they could handle in a timely manner. I would have preferred to be called and told they were shorthanded and I would have gladly rescheduled. Also I tried numerous times to call when time was ticking by, and they had no one to answer the call. Sorry to say, I feel their business practices have much to be worked out. If time is not a problem for you or your pet, then maybe this is the place for you.

We tried to explain that one of my dogs is a previous owner surrender and has a fear of abandonment, but they didn't care and weren't hearing us out. If that's their attitude towards my dog's needs, then I don't want to do business with them. I love my dogs too much to force them in a scary situation and just leave. The groom starts at $65 depending on your service and your cat. WHAT A STEAL. I called on a Monday morning and they were able to get me in that afternoon! They were so helpful in picking a time that was low traffic so my cat wouldn't be overwhelmed and they had the whole process done in two hours. My cat is so clean and her coat is so soft and I'm sure she's feeling great after getting rid of all that undercoat. The office was clean, and you could tell that the ladies in there would love your fur babies like you do. It was so hard dropping her off but Lynn and Christy made it easy. I have always come to this particular facility in Kernerville called Agape (which is part of…read moreCentral Carolina Cremation Services) whenever I have had one of my pets pass away. It's a sad occasion when you have to say a final goodbye to a furry loved one and the staff here are very kind and understanding. This cremation facility takes in all small animals including pet snakes. They have a central facility in Charlotte where they can take in large animals such as horses. You can request a viewing where they bring out your pet on a presentation table for your final goodbyes before the cremation. I elected to watch the cremation itself along w the viewing. The ovens are huge and it takes some time beforehand to get them started and producing the correct temperature. They have an automatic procedure that once the animal is placed on the moving platform it opens the oven doors and the animal goes in and doors close behind. But you don't have to watch that, you can stay in the office until the process is complete. In the meantime you can pick out an urn or keepsake box out of the many choices. Once you choose, you decide what the epitaph will be and while you wait they are able to engrave or otherwise personalize your choice. I chose a stone jar. This facility is a one stop facility from guiding you through the process, picking an urn or wooden box, to cremation and presenting your loved one in a beautiful urn or whatever container you choose, with engraving at the end of the process so you are able to take home your pets remains the same day. You can expect to spend 1-2 hrs when it is all said and done. It's a loving send off for a special friend.

While I hate that I am writing this review I am very pleased with them. They had Betty back to me in a few days. I went with the basic plan and the box is absolutely beautiful. They have her name, birthday and day she died underneath and it came with a very pretty plaque with her name that I can place on the box if I wish. They really did handle everything and I am so grateful for that. My only complaint was that they had her for four days before they cremated her and it was written down on a card they gave us. I would rather not know and it seems like a long time to wait when on the phone the lady said they would be doing it shortly after I paid.

Her coat is incredibly uneven - it looks like someone just went in with kitchen scissors. But that isn't the most disappointing part. When I went to pick up my lively, energetic puppy, she was cowering. I brought her home and she was limping with one leg. My pup is never going back here - vet's orders!
