I recently visited Triad Lanes and had mixed feelings about the experience. The bowling itself was actually really fun. The atmosphere was nice, and overall we had a good time on the lanes. That part I would definitely come back for. Unfortunately, the food completely missed the mark. The wait time was very long, especially considering how simple the menu is. When we finally got our food, the portions were small for the price, and to make things worse, it was undercooked. That was honestly disappointing and took away from the overall experience. The drinks were also more expensive than expected. What looked like a $9 drink online ended up being almost $19 after adding just one extra shot, which felt a bit excessive and unclear pricing-wise. If you're going, I'd recommend sticking to bowling and maybe eating beforehand or somewhere else after. read more

Whenever we go on the weekends, they usually have the games on. A good bar in the back as well. read more

I'm a long time league, open play,and tournament bowler and I have never seen a poorly run establishment in my 40 plus years of bowling . Dirty floors( I've stepped in gum), inconsistent lane conditions at best, and unacceptable customer service. I know for sure I won't be back next season until there's improvement read more

This is not a place I will return. Many other options in the area for bowling and family fun. This is what is listed on their website: "Triad Lanes is a bowling center with activities geared towards the entire family. Our staff is here to assist you from the moment you walk through our doors ...". We had to wait 45 minutes for a lane. Per the staff this was due to lanes 1-36 being held for a bowling league. There are 40 lanes in total. So family bowling is wait listed. The pool table was out of order. There needs to be some renovations to compare to some of the other local entertainment establishments. read more

It's too bad that this alley has made such an effort to come up to modern standards because their staff will run them out of business. The middle-aged white Karen who works the counter is awful, and the heavy set Kevin Manger, while slightly more professional... is abusive of "company policy " with regard to coupons and Groupon while alienating customers. I bought a Groupon for 4 yesterday (Veterans Day is today), but because it was Friday and the banks and schools were closed, Karen and Ken refused to accept the Groupon. Apparently, as a company, they choose what day they observe the "Holiday." Ok, that's cool. I can accept that, but let me make some points. 1. After your nasty response and refusal to accept a voucher that you've technically already been paid for. I went to Sparetime. We bowled. Had a great time. 2. You lost revenue because we bought food and spirits and played in the arcade. 3. I hadn't been to your alley in a while. It looks like you've fixed it up. I would have loved to come back. despite one bad experience with a cashier every other interaction has been great. Guy cooking tonight was awesome and made excellent wings! Cashier at snack bar realized some people cut in line and made it right-very attentive and sweet! Other bowlers are usually very friendly and great atmosphere and community feel. My score would be -1 if available. Since the manager retired and new one has taken over, the place is now dirty, nasty, untrained staff that can't answer questions and current manager doesn't seem to care. Long working staff that knew what to do have quit. Young staff has been hired and they are either talking with each other, on their phone or watching their kids they took to work with them. Bathrooms are nasty, they seldom cleaned tables from previous bowlers. Even the furniture is bad with splits in couches, torn chair paddings, the carpet is so stained and ground in dirt, just nasty to the point cleaning will not help. After bowling there many years in leagues, it's time to find another lane that takes a little pride in where they work and know what customer service means. read more

I looked at the website 5 hours prior to showing up to the bowling alley and there was no type of information about a tournament with no lanes available. My son, wife, and I went bowling here on Saturday July 30. First let me preface this I am not by a long shot a professional bowler nor a lane operator however, I do know that you should not stick to the lane causing you to fall. They sprayed and wiped something on the floor after I fell but the lanes still were not very good in my opinion. While we were bowling it was "cosmic" but toward the end of our third game the regular lights came on without warning which can cause bowlers issues as their eye sight is adjusted to the dark and neon. Then they stack people on top of each other while half the facility was empty. The food was absolutely horrible and overpriced I would not serve it to starving children. I had the Nachos and the best thing was the chips were homemade but everything was lumped together and I could not enjoy them. On a positive at least they swapped my crap nachos for a frozen hamburger patty burger and did not charge me. I will not come back to this facility if I can help it, read more

We had our annual bowling event for our family reunion here. Janie Pendergrass was such a great help. She helped me plan this way back in September of 2014, for an event in July 2015. She checked in along the way so i would be assured we were taken care of. The week before she wanted to see if there was anything she could do to assist. We had a great rate. Everyone enjoyed bowling here. They had bumpers for the kids, and enough space for our reunion and other people who just wanted to bowl on a FRIDAY night. Joseph was great. He was there the night of the event, and I let him know at the end of the night how great a time we had. We had people show up late and leave early, and I just let them know when we didnt need certain lanes so they could open them to the general public. GREAT place for events, wonderful staff. I made a reservation Wednesday to come in at 1030 Saturday night to bowl. The outside as well as the inside smelled strongly of weed. We get in the building only for them to tell us they had a league bowling and they couldn't honor our reservation. No explanation or apology. Very unprofessional would not recommend. read more

We had not been to Triad Lanes before and wanted to take advantage of a half-price deal from a deal site during the visit of some out-of-town friends, so there was a very limited opportunity to actually use the deal together before they left again the next day. Wanting to ensure that the money would not be wasted if we spent it, we called and spoke with a staff member at Triad Lanes around 11:00 in the morning, asking whether we would need to reserve a lane to come bowling later that afternoon, specifying that we wanted to come in the afternoon, and that we were willing to make a reservation. We were told that they did not expect to be busy, that they would fill the lanes first-come-first-served, and that we should just come down. So, we purchased the discount admission. Later, around 3 pm, we bundled 4 excited kids ages 6 and under into our vehicles and drove over there. When we arrived, the place looked good, as bowling alleys go, and lacked the musty old smoke smell that I remember from my own childhood visits to similar places. There were many lanes, most of them vacant, and everything appeared to be relatively clean and orderly. The person at the register said that in spite of the fact that the alley was over 2/3 empty at the time, they would not be able to let us bowl, because they had a birthday party and a league coming at 4 and they only had 8 lanes open to the public, which were all in use, and that they did not expect to have an open lanes until 7 pm. Starting to bowl at 7pm with kids as small as ours was not realistic, so we could not come back later in the evening. Both of these events that used the majority of the lanes (a party and league) at the facility would have been scheduled well in advance, and the information that the latest we could come and expect to bowl would be 2pm, because after that they would only have a fraction of their lanes available, and they needed the majority of lanes clear by 4pm, would have been very helpful had it been offered when we called. This use of the majority of the lanes by two very large groups is clearly something that could have been anticipated by staff. Instead, we were told they did not expect to be busy and were not permitted to make a reservation. We asked to speak to the manager, explaining about our earlier call that had assured us we'd be able to bowl if we just walked in. Nobody seemed to be able to figure out who would have answered our call. It felt to us that they made no attempt whatsoever to try to compensate for the fact that we had been given poor information, or that our friends from out of town now had spent money to bowl there on a deal that could not be redeemed. There was a half-hearted "We are sorry. We can't help you, and the manager walked away." We left feeling like Triad Lanes had not treated us as valued customers that they wanted to see back at all. I'm not sure whether that's because we were "deal" customers or what, but the purpose of these deals is to get people through the door so they will become full-price paying customers in future. We tried to return the unused deal to the deal site, and were unable to do so. In all likelihood, we won't be back to Triad Lanes, even with the pre-paid deal, because we were so unimpressed by the lack of professionalism and care of the management and the inaccurate information we were offered to try to get us to come in. read more

My husband and I were double dating with some friends and were looking forward to a night of bowling. If I could give Triad Lanes less than a one star review I would. Although they did check everyone's temperature before proceeding to bowl or play in the arcade I didn't see any steps into sanitizing or cleaning anything. We arrived at 6:30 pm and was told it would be a hour and fifteen minute wait before we could bowl so we decided to go play some games in the arcade to pass time. 7:50 pm came around and we asked how much longer it would be and was told another 40 minutes. We asked why as we were told it would be an hour and fifteen minute wait when we first arrived and the lady said she was just going by what was showing on the screen. While the customer service was bleh, the facilities were clean enough. They have a bumper cars setup by lane one but there is no clear manner in which to gain access without walking to the other side of the alley to ask for service. This isn't a huge deal, but like I said, bleh service. For the cost and environment I would recommend it. read more

The arcade games continued to steal money off our game card, when I approached assistant manager about this problem he was a complete jerk to me. He didn't even look me in the eyes when talking to me and sent me to another girl which had no idea how to fix it. The whole establishment is terrible. The white girl is literally the slowest bartender I've ever experienced. Waited over 30 minutes to still not even get a drink. Plus my lane wasn't working and was told it was due to the lights being off. Then moved to another lane for the same thing to happen. My question why are the lights off if the pins can't be picked up on the sensors? I tried setting up a party for my son at this location and even though his party is today and hasn't even been celebrated there yet, I've already had several issues with them and have dealt with Bob the General Manager this entire time. I'm only still having the party because I already paid the deposit (which is one of the issues because they said they didn't even get that yet) but I'm not looking forward to having to deal with more crap from them. We always have fun at triad lanes. We came on a Saturday night and they didn't seem to be very busy. They had a tournament going on but they still had a lot of lanes open. Also, it was very cold inside. I understand people are moving around but everyone in my group thought it was chilly. We wanted to have two separate lanes and our whole group wasn't there yet. The staff gladly reserved two lanes for us while we waited for our friends. They were nice and attentive. Around 10 they turn on the funky lights and play club music, however, the music was very low. We went here a week ago and it was SO LOUD!!! The lane we were in got stuck for five minutes at the beginning of the game which was. VERY unideal ! I go here all the time, on the week days it's super cheap to bowl at night and really great prices on beer and pitchers of beer. During the weekend it's a little bit pricier but still so much fun.
