I first called Zack maybe 4-5 years ago about our leaking washer. Over the phone he told me that he…read morewould save me the trip charge because what I was describing would cost more to fix than for me to go buy a new washer. Right then I knew he was honest. A couple weeks ago our fridge was having an issue with the paddle for the ice/water sticking so I called him and we had a couple other small issues we figured we would get fixed at the same time. He charges a trip charge which gets applied to your repair if you decide to do it. His fee for fixing the first appliance is a flat rate plus parts. Additional appliances were also a flat rate but way less than the first item. So if you have a few things to do at once it saves you. He came out and diagnosed our issues and then ordered the parts needed and came back a few days later and fixed everything. He takes a variety of payment methods and warranties his work. He was so pleasant to have around and I'm normally not comfortable having people in the house. Even my dog liked him! Anyway I highly recommend Zack for help with keeping appliances out of landfills and in good working order.

Wow! Zack is great!…read more Our Maytag dryer kept giving off "check lint screen" error lights and wouldn't work. We had religiously cleaned the screen after each use, but the dryer came with the house, so we didn't really know how old it was. (Zach said 8-10 years.) Anyway, we called a little after lunch, and while Zach was at another job and picked up. He was able to sort of diagnose our problem over the phone and was able to get from Naperville to Westmont in less than 20 minutes. (I hope he didn't drive too fast.) We were not really expecting any appointment until next week, but within an hour, Zack was able to diagnose the problem, and FINISH the repair and the dryer area looks great. I'm typing this up at 4:20pm and we called him not even 4 hours ago. Very happy with ZTG. Thanks Zack!

This was for an insurance claim for water damage. I only needed him to take a look, he knew this ahead of time when I made the appointment. Instead I was insulted and treated like a 1950's housewife and told "it's common sense that repair men work and get paid for service." I was then asked bluntly for 125.00 cash or check for his 25 minutes worth of service, which by the way consisted him using my paper towels and wiping some lint away. RIP OFF!!!!

SAVE YOURSELF PROBLEMS AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED COMPANY!!!…read more I called to have a Gladiator fridge repaired. I called at 8:30 in the morning. Some barely coherent man answered. He sounded like he was intoxicated. He gave me a 3 hour window from 11-2 that he would show up. He came at 2:15 with no apology for being late. He drives a run down minivan with no company name on it. He had never seen a fridge like mine, even though it is very common and is sold by Sears. He kept asking me ridiculous questions that you think any repairman would know. He said "Are you sure this section is your fridge and not your freezer?" After an hour passed with him fumbling around, he said "well I don't know, could be your compressor, I thought it would be the fan but it ain't." Then he changed his mind and said it was due to dirty coils. He then charged me $105!!! He wanted the check made out to "Paul Buckley". There is apparently no true company name. He had wrote an invoice on a piece of paper when I asked for one. At the top he wrote "Paul Buckley", I couldn't read the rest of it. I asked him if he paid taxes and he got a bewildered look on his face. Turns out it wasn't dirty coils or the compressor, and his fumbling around didn't fix the problem.
