I can't recommend Advantage enough! I had been burned by LG repair and another 3rd party repair company. By the time I called Advantage, I had been without a dryer for over 2 weeks. I called on a Friday morning based on their Yelp reviews. Once I explained my situation, Tom assured me he'd pull some strings to get a tech out to my house. That they did! The tech came out and tried to fix the old dryer, but it was unfixable. So he proceeded to install the new one (I had two dryers sitting as a result of the fiasco). The water dispenser in our GE fridge stopped working and after texting Advantage Appliance, they sent out a tech (Kevin) who came out the day after they replied back which is super quick! Kevin was able to diagnose and fix our fridge within an hour of arriving. He was so knowledgeable and thoroughly explained what the issue was while doing the repair, that he even told me how to save on additional costs by thawing out the fridge on my own after the repair was complete. My 18 year old Viking gas range developed a small gas leak. I called the gas company about it, and they detected leaks at two of the burners. After turning off the gas supply to the range, I looked up Nextdoor for an appliance repair business. Advantage Appliance Serviced had numerous positive reviews. Called them up to schedule an appointment, and a few days later their technician Danny arrived to diagnose the issue. He confirmed the leaks were confined to the two faulty burner valves, which he would need to special ordered. When they arrived, Danny came out again to install them. Danny performed the work professionally, and also cleaned the spark igniter contacts so that the burners would fire up quickly Not all appliance repair shops will service Viking appliances. This is a small family business and I really appreciate and try to support businesses like that. Also I really appreciate the honesty of this company. They pointed out that repair was around the same cost to replace. And they really pushed that recommendation to save us money. However, I pointed out this is a built in microwave so any replacement would have to have specific measurements and mounting setup. It would take me more time and research to find the perfect replacement than I wanted, So they were happy to repair it and faster that I expected. I have called Advantage Appliance Service twice now. Once for my refrigerator and once for my washing machine. The repairmen that came out were knowledgeable and above all honest about the issues I was having. In one case the issues were fixed and I was offered a number of different solution. In the other, the repairs were going to be more than I was initially quoted due to the age of the machine and location/difficulty of removing parts. But we were told upfront before any work started and given the option to just replace the machine at that point. I would not hesitate to call them again. I can't say enough good things about this company. I have had a few different repairman come by for various items, and they're all great. I've had them fix my beverage fridge, freezer, washing machine, and dryer. Most things were easy fixes that they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for. There was one challenging fix that they came back and didn't charge me when their original solution didn't work. Most places would not do that.
