Really cool atmosphere, very "Palm Beach" (dress up, wear something cute for lunch!), great people watching (both in the restaurant and at the pool), and very lively atmosphere!! Service was FUN, we loved our waitress Marie, and she made the entire brunch awesome for our entire party. The Colony Hotel is pink and beautiful, and is worth a walk through on your way in or out. Even the gift shop makes for some fun shopping! For brunch our table ordered the jalapeño and cheddar cornbread muffins (with honey butter), yellowfin tuna tartare, cereal crusted French toast (with caramelized banana and pecan maple syrup), burrata di bufala and prosciutto, and the "grilled chicken darling stack" (sandwich). The burrata and 36-month aged prosciutto was the best I've ever had. The burrata was rich and creamy, the prosciutto was packed with flavor (that went well with the pistachio, cherry tomatoes, and basil vinaigrette). The chicken stack came with grilled chicken, pepperjack, bacon, avocado, truffle ranch, and fried onions on ciabatta bread. All the ingredients were so fresh and eat bite was packed with flavor (no wonder it's a staple on the menu). Every single menu item was 10/10. All fresh, bright flavors- and although a little pricey, I felt it was worth it for the quality of all of the ingredients. Can't wait to go back soon (reservations are a must!!)!

The place is tucked away and low key on purpose, but once you step inside, it's like entering another world. A magical land where cocktails reign supreme and Vincent is the all-powerful sorcerer behind the bar. There's no menu here... and there doesn't need to be. You simply tell Vincent what you're craving, and he conjures it with a flick of the wrist, a dash of bitters, and probably some ancient incantation whispered under his breath. I had three... maybe four drinks (time works differently in magical places), and each one was flawless. Complex yet balanced, bold yet smooth... true potions of happiness. If you're lucky enough to find yourself in this enchanted hideaway on the one night a week it's open, let Vincent work his craft. Just know you'll leave spellbound... and in my case, headed straight to bed, because even wizards can't save a 40-year-old from an early bedtime after a few too many old fashioneds.

And that's not to say that the dj on the dance floor playing rnb esque music was bad. Just a weird Ass "club"

You need to make a reservation with a credit card as if you don't show they will charge. Sounds high end and the place to be. That day we tried to adjust a reservation by 30 minutes. Ok, cool..good start. We get there....Door1is propped open. Then you were in a vestibule area. Door 2 (where you are supposed to ring in) is ALSO OPEN. So literally other than not having a name on the outside, is a bar. An expensive one. We were really disappointed as stupid as that sounds as we didn't get the speakeasy experience. Hostess says they are really busy. Umm, the place is half full. No real tables but honestly we sat on the couches looking at the bar, and turned out perfect for cocktails and app, and enjoying my beautiful company (my wife). Out waitress was cool, kept apologizing for how busy it was .....again 1/2 full. We were thinking there would be a mixologist there. Nope, just another waitress who never smiled once making drinks. And $21 drinks that seemed a bit light on the pour (as least for my ol fashioned. We did order a smoked prosciutto burrata app that was quite good! The guy placing music was really nice although for a few songs the volume got turned up and you couldn't hardly talk to your date, but that was temporary. So it was like $80 for 2 drinks and one app. With the 'absence of the speakeasy', mehhh

Unfortunately, almost everything else fell flat. The menu is quite limited, and the drink selection is even more restricted. No Merlot on the wine list? That was surprising. We were also disappointed to hear the skirt steak was already sold out by 5:00 pm, especially given how few entrée options there were to begin with. The food itself was a major letdown. The "de-boned" bronzino was anything but-- it arrived with tons of bones, making it unpleasant to eat. The French dip sandwich was downright horrible, lacking flavor and horrible texture. Service was slow and inattentive, which only made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, there was a bug floating in my martini. Water kept dripping from the vent onto our table throughout the meal. Little things like that really ruin the vibe. If you're going for the nice setting alone, maybe it's worth a quick drink. But for a proper dinner with reliable food and service? I'd look elsewhere. One star and that's being generous for the atmosphere and prime location.

I took a seat at the end of the empty bar and waited for a bartender. I was greeted quickly and offered a lunch and cocktail menu. However, I had to ask for the Happy Hour Menu (I arrived at 1:13pm). Not sure if this is a standard practice or if the bartender truly had just lost track of time. After perusing the happy hour menu (all items listed are $10) I decided on the Citrus Mojito, the Wagyu Steak Skewer, the Beef Cheek Empanada and the Lobster Bisque Shooter. The mojito was GOOD. Very refreshing, not too sweet, yet still light and flavorful. I felt good after one. The Wagyu Steak Skewer was the most UNDERWHELMING choice of the afternoon. Thick cut of meat, salted nicely, but if you don't like your cow still mooing don't order! I did not get a choice in temperature. It wasn't a huge deterrent for me but definitely could be unsettling for others. The Beef Cheek Empanada was my favorite bite of the afternoon. My only complaint is that you only get one per order lol. Flakey crust. Filled with nicely seasoned beef. 10/10! The Lobster Bisque Shooter has great potential, but today, was poorly executed. The lobster bisque itself is exceptionally flavorful, but terribly salty. It doesn't help that the cheese in the grilled cheese sandwich adds a layer of salt, that in conjunction with the soup, just ultimately cripples the dish. Any happy hour downtown with a $10 drink option is a gem in itself, but I would certainly return for the empanadas.
