This is a really cute kava bar where you can play pool or watch TV or just chill and socialize. Sabian is the owner and super friendly too. They have happy hours and are open late. Im Definitely going to be coming and hanging out here more often.

Cool dive bar! It's very chill, and inside, it's a smaller bar, but they have a bunch of seating…read moreoutside, where it's more open. The bartender was very friendly. I'm not a big beer drinker and usually go for a cider, but I ordered a cocktail instead, and she made me a really good tequila sunrise.

Should you be down for grabbing a beer at a dive bar with some rowdy locals though, this may be the place for you after all... With half of downtown Delray's parking taken up by the tennis event, we ended up at the Sail Inn, and as this was my first time walking in the door, I was reminded of Obi Wan'z famous description of Mos Eisley. But it grows on you... The Sail Inn is in every sense of the phrase, a "dive bar". From the cacophony of voices assaulting you on entry, to the sticky bar top and tables, to the competing smells of stale beer, sweat, and too much perfume. We were greeted immediately, and we were served quickly, though there was no smile on the face of our harried bartender, we were just one more round of beers to pour, and though it was a busy night, he was on top of things and no one was complaining. Opting for the spacious outside patio area over the crowded inside, the din was quieted, and we got to enjoy our drinks in relative peace. Be warned this area is for smokers. The only thing keeping this place from getting another star was their weird outdoor seating policy. At 11pm anyone sitting outside enjoying the comfortable and apparently newly renovated patio has to move up into a small space next to the building. This concentrated all the smokers into one small area where we could not enjoy breathing anymore so we left.

Wow! What an incredibly fun night! We had such a great experience at PopStroke…read more We arrived a little after 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday with a group of five adults and one child. The parking lot was packed, which is usually a good sign that you're in for a fun evening. One helpful tip for first-time visitors: when you arrive, the main entrance actually leads into the restaurant, Bar Tenders. If you're there to play mini golf, look to the left of the entrance for the golf check-in counter where you'll purchase your tickets. We were celebrating a friend's birthday, and everyone had a fantastic time. I have to admit, my husband and I were a little skeptical at first. We typically enjoy traditional mini golf courses with themed obstacles, so seeing mostly putting greens made us wonder if we'd enjoy it. We were pleasantly surprised! The courses are beautifully designed, well-landscaped, and much more fun than we expected. The property is well thought out, with TVs throughout the course (perfect for catching the World Cup matches), a central bar, benches scattered around the course, and even hooks for purses at many of the holes, which was such a thoughtful touch. There are two 18-hole courses, one easier and one more challenging. Your admission includes unlimited play on both courses for the day, which makes the price feel like a great value. We paid $30 per adult, with discounted pricing for children. They were also offering a summer special where, for $50, you receive unlimited play through the end of September. They also mentioned offering healthcare discounts, and I believe they may have military and teacher discounts as well, although I can't personally confirm those. Another feature I thought was really convenient was the QR codes located throughout the course. You can scan them to order drinks for delivery right to your location on the course. I'm not sure whether food can also be ordered this way, but it was a nice touch. Even though the venue was busy, it never felt overcrowded. The course kept people spread out well, so there wasn't much waiting between holes. Overall, we truly had a great time. Everyone in our group ended up purchasing the $50 summer pass because we enjoyed ourselves so much. We'll definitely be back again soon!

The "Stroke" in PopStroke Is for the Stroke You'll Have When You See the Price of Mini Golf…read more We recently visited PopStroke Delray Beach with our kids (all under 8), and while the facility is clean and well-run, the value just wasn't there for our family. The course itself is fine -- but pretty basic. It's nicely landscaped and in good shape, but there's nothing especially creative or over-the-top that makes it feel worth the premium pricing. For younger kids, 18 holes was more than enough. Ours only wanted to play one round, and after that they were done. The pricing structure seems geared more toward people who plan to stay for hours -- replaying rounds, hanging out, ordering food and drinks. If you maximize the "all day" aspect, maybe it starts to make sense. But for families with young kids who realistically will only make it through one round? One bright spot: free ice cream for kids on Tuesdays. Overall, it's a nice facility, but unless you're planning to really camp out and get multiple rounds in, the value just isn't there for families with younger children.
