Had a great experience here today! Got a hoop for a cartilage piercing and got my rook pierced. Hayley was very calm and soft spoken, which eased my nerves immediately. I only had to wait 15 mins as a walk in and the piercing only took a couple minutes. The shop was really cool inside, not like usual intimidating biker vibes, and the staff at the front desk was great. All in all, the piercing barely hurt and wasn't super expensive. I'm giving this place two stars because I have had a good experience here years ago pre-COVID. I know they have beautiful jewelry and I was looking forward to visiting when I was in town as I have limited options where I live. Today I came hoping to find new jewelry for myself as well as maybe get a new piercing or two. My mother who was with me wanted some jewelry and my daughter who is almost five has been wanting her ears pierced. We stood at the door and we're getting masked up when a young woman came out and after hearing why we were there she informed us that she would only be letting me in. I reiterated that I wasn't the only one interested in jewelry and that my daughter would like her ears pierced but first wanted to see me get mine done. After all of this she kept saying that their policy was very strict and they could only let customers buying jewelry in. Well, I don't know how much clearer I could have been.. needless to say we planned on spending lots of money at this establishment today as piercings and jewelry are not cheap by any means. I know people have off days and I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. Today I was seriously disappointed by the customer service especially because it was extremely cold and windy outdoors, I'm visibly pregnant, and this young woman expected my mother and child to just wait outside in the freezing cold. I've been here for two sets of piercings! First were my triples and I was hesitant on prices, but the quality of the service and the earrings totally makes up for it! Service was also amazing! I also got my helix pierced there, which I was hesitant about since I've heard many friends talk about 6 months to a year of healing...well I went to tribal rites and got mine done with only 2.5 months of healing. I used their soap which was amazing and I haven't had any soreness or other issues with that piercing since the 2 month mark! My friends who had gotten theirs gone else where are still struggling with theirs and they've had it close to 8 months now! Fuck this place. I have spent probably thousands of dollars here on jewelry and piercings. Today I parked in their parking because I planned to buy new jewelry I went into to store next to it to shop around when I realized I didn't have my wallet upon going back to my car to get it, my car was gone. They called and had my car towed I was parked there for less than 20 min and when I went in to talk to them I was treated extremely rudely and basically told they don't need my business. Great establishment. There is no smug attitude as if you owe the staff something for entering their shop, which seems to be the trend. Friendly and knowledgable staff that comfort you and don't try to sway you one way or the other unless it's a health issue. I got my daith done here, and a year later came back to get my tragus done. Hayley is absolutely amazing! I didn't have an appointment and was brought back super fast. She made me feel really comfortable and did everything perfect. The women at jewelry cases helped a ton too and helped make sure I picked good jewelry that would look good and feel good. I got my nose pierced somewhere else and had a really bad experience. I absolutely love Tribal Rites and after having that bad experience somewhere else I will only go here from now on. My cousin and I have been discussing getting tattoos together forever but we are both really picky and it was her first tattoo. We finally decided to go for it and walked into Tribal Rites after hearing nothing but good things. They got us in quickly and weren't put off by us being walk-ins at all. Mikal was our tattoo artist and he was awesome. He hasn't worked there long but he's a total professional. The tattoos we got were small and simple and probably not an artists' dream but he approached them enthusiastically and was thrilled to do my cousins first tattoo and showed gratitude for her trust. The entire interior was as clean as a hospital which is always comforting. Our tattoos turned out even better than we were envisioning and our overall experience was perfect, comfortable, and I would recommend this place to literally anyone. Hayley was my piercer today when I went in to get my nips done. She was all around incredible and definitely gave me the best piercing experience I've ever had. Right from walking in the door she was so nonchalant about the whole process (in the best way possible) and had a way of making me feel super confident going into the room. There was a wide array of jewelry to choose from and the atmosphere was very clean. Everything came out of autoclave packaging and the chair was sprayed down before we even left the room. She walked me through everything the entire time, and continued to instill confidence in me and make me feel comfortable throughout the piercing process. It was the first time I didn't sit in a chair completely freaking out. Super professional, knowledgeable, and all around personable. The whole process from door to door was maybe 15 minutes.
