It's been a couple years since I have been to a salon due to past bad experiences. I found Alanah with a quick search and viewed her work on social media and immediately knew she was the gal for me. When I arrived I was greeted by everyone there. Alanah made sure to take her time and listen to what I really wanted when it came to cutting and styling my hair. It was a true pamper sesh. I never once felt like the session was rushed or dismissed. She made many recommendations for good hair products for my kind of hair and took her time to show me how to style my new cut at home without over complicating it. I appreciate all the work she put into my hair and she genuinely was excited for me to try something different. I can't say enough great things about Mark and The Dime Studio. Mark was very gracious in accommodating a haircut crisis that my curly-haired teenage son was dealing with the night before a big day (read "date"). Not only did he make time for us to come in and fix the tragic cut he received from a stylist I will not name, he did an excellent job making my son's hair look better than either of us had ever expected. Man, what a difference between the norm shoot the shit and get a buzz cut barber shop and this place. Called the day before, they were booked, but happy to accommodate me the next morning. Shop is in really nice and quaint area of old town. Nicely appointed, good music and comfy chairs. Let me say I am in no way a primping and what not kind of guy, bud having not changed the style of my hair since grade-school, I listened to my wife and left it in the capable hands of Mark. He did not disappoint. My wife and I BOTH left very impressed with the cut and style he did. His professionalism was top notch and the guy has a firm grasp on kick ass bands to boot, all second fiddle to his amazing skills with the scissors. He has done all kinds of styles with me from a gentleman's cut to something more ahead of its time. I've even colored my hair with him as a guy a few times and enjoyed the look. I got my hair colored and extentions added for my wedding. Mark is amazing! When the hair was delivered the entire back pieces were missing and he very quickly ran out and found a substitute for me as my wedding was in 3 days.
