I popped in this morning for some last minute supplies for a cleaning job. I'm pretty versed in city pricing and I have to say I was impressed. I would recommend that you avoid this place if at all possible. I typically do not leave negative reviews, but this was the worst customer experience of my life. I came in with some pieces of hardware, and asked whether the staff could help me find an adapter between them. The person helping me told me that he had 20 years of experience in the hardware business, and that I didn't know what I was talking about. He was generally incredibly rude. I then had to go back to my apartment, do some online research, found the piece that I needed, and found that it was in stock at this store. I then went back, and was able to purchase the piece. I can handle staff not being knowledgeable, I can handle staff being rude, and I can handle prices that are ripoffs. However, the combination of the three is intolerable. The only instance in which I'd recommend shopping at this store is if you know EXACTLY what you are looking for, are okay being treated terribly, and are okay with overpaying. read more

Im in the contacting business so I frequent many hardware stores. This has nothing to do with the inventory or prices. I was disgusted by the poor service I received by the staff. Very unprofessional. Cursing and telling inappropriate stories like customers weren't even there. I've recently shopped there twice because of my current job location. I will make sure that I never have to return. read more

I would recommend Janovic over TriBeCa Paint all day long. To paint my apartment I need 10 gallons of paint. I asked Janovic for a volume discount and they offered 15% on 10 gallons. When I asked TriBeCa Paint to price match they begrudgingly said they would but need "proof in writing". I suggested they call themselves to verify but they refused. Janovic clearly values my business more. I'll go out of my way to use them and avoid TriBeCa Paint. read more

One screwdriver, paid for it. Didn't need it and now they won't take it back. This kind of uncustomer service will not have me going back there. It was just a brand new screwdriver. Don't know why it wasn't just put back up on the shelf and sold to someone who did need it. They could have saved themselves a customer instead of ticking one off. read more

This place is great. I have had very positive experiences shopping here for my local business. I don't understand hardware, paint, tools and whatnot. The salesteam here is very patient and kind. I came in for sand once, and the guy working there first showed me a 50lb bag of sand. Noting my confusion he asked me what I needed it for. I told I had a light weight A-frame that came with instructions to be filled with sand so as not to blow away. Immediately he shofted gears and grabbed me a 6lb bag of garden sand that was cheaper and suited my needs perfectly. I'be gone back for odd light bulbs, odds and ends like tape (how will you use it? Those questions always help me get exactly what I need) and even an aux cord. The price is right, they're super organized and approachable and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and products provides here. read more

I would not recommend. I asked for a quart of flat paint for a touchup. While he matched the color correctly, he gave me semi gloss which I didn't realize until I got home, so could not return. Also, paint prices are very high - double other paint stores in the area. read more

Terrific family owned store. Very knowledgeable and customer friendly. My wife and I most recently purchased window treatments and custom window cushions from there. Benny was super helpful and has a ton of experience. He let us go home with samples so we were confident in our selection. We went with hunter douglas silhouettes and are very happy. They have a large selection and help you understand whats best for your home. Richie the installer was also great. Everything turned out perfect. Will definitely go back for future needs. read more

I went to Tribeca Paint Hardware & Home for window blinds for large loft windows. They had a wide selection of high quality blinds. The ones that I was interested in were on display in the store and the person who assisted me was knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant to work with. I took home several color samples to see how they would look in my place and once I decided on the style and color the store arranged to have the installer come to my apartment for measurements. Since my windows are large and not perfectly aligned I was happy to have an experienced installer come to take measurements and later have the same indivdual install the blinds. He was very professional, neat, efficient, and did a great job. Overall Tribeca Paint Hardware & Home really came through. They were very professional and my confidence in them was rewarded; I have terrific looking blinds that work exactly as they are suppose to. I highly reccomend Tribeca Paint Hardware & Home for window blinds. read more

I don't normally wrote reviews but the service I got today was pretty spectacular so I wanted to spread the word. My wife and I bought a bunch of paint to do our apartment here and it turned out one of the gallons' color was off. This meant that we wasted a day painting it and had touched up and impacted/ruined some areas that were already almost done. The paint was bad but there was nothing the store could have done to prevent this. When I went in they immediately gave me a replacement gallon but given the way I had painted I needed more than a gallon to cover all the places I'd used it. I called to see if I could get a second free gallon so I could fix the problem. After speaking to the manager and explaining the situation I got a call from the owner who after listening agreed to give me a second free gallon! I really appreciate this level of customer care and will definitely be going back for all my painting needs. Thanks Andy! read more
