They really went above and beyond for us - we placed our cabinet order in mid-February, and they were willing to hold the cabinets until we wanted to start the work in April/May. Since this is 2020, of course, we went into lockdown and they hung on to half of our cabinets in their office for much longer than that. It was really nice of them - I had taken delivery on the cabinets that I could fit in my garage, but that left the pantry and other big ones. When we did start the work, Steve was very good at keeping in touch with me and ensuring the delivery, templating, and installation went smoothly. The only thing I'd recommend for someone checking them out is to make sure you clarify what edge profile you want - ours was slightly miscommunicated. Their prices are very competitive - for all our cabinets (no installation - our contractor did the install), countertop slab/fabrication, we paid around $14,000 cash out the door.

My go-to for framing is Michaels, but they can be costly so I thought I would check this place out to compare. From what I could gather, Backstreet provides several services relating to art prints; additionally, they also work with an external company to provide VHS to DVD conversion services. My initial visit was pretty standard - I chose my frame and the process was summarized to me. I was initially told there would be a 2-week turnaround time and that I would receive a call once the job was finished. To be transparent, it was a rocky road between dropping off my print and picking it up; I did not receive it until about 1.5 months later. However, Eileen was very transparent with the progress and performed a great service recovery. Overall, I wouldn't say this was the smoothest transaction, but Backstreet ultimately delivered and provided good customer service.

This review is long overdue. I wanted to wait and see how the paint actually held up over time…read morebefore forming an opinion. First - The customer service is the absolute best! I called the store, I'd visited it in the past to check out their wallpaper (some of the patterns are absolutely gorgeous, worth going there just for ideas). The sales rep was very knowledgeable; she explained the differences between products and colors. After reviewing several test strips (I had collected in the past), I placed an order through the Flatiron store. They offered door to door delivery, which was so convenient. I repainted an entire home, three floors, multiple rooms. Since the home was over 200 years old with original details, I needed a paint color that would match the original sense of the home without looking too outdated. I must have gone through 300 different paint colors, I did Samplize, tested the paint on the actual walls, checked the LRVs, under different lighting (because a paint will look one way in direct sunlight but completely different under LED lighting). I think I drove myself a little crazy. I mean how many shades of white can there be??? Dozens! And they all look a little different. Money vs Aesthetics - While I really wanted to save money, the more time I spent with the Farrow and Ball colors, the more I fell in love with them. When I told the painter that I was using this brand he said "it's too hard to use." Skeptical, I asked around. It's not hard to use; he was an inexperienced painter. So I went with Farrow and Ball for the parlor level and smaller rooms and Benjamin Moore for the rest. After a year of heavy use, both paints have held up well. From an aesthetic perspective, the colors for Farrow and Ball are well worth the added expense IMO - particularly for an older home with unique design attributes (small corners, brass elements, original wood tones etc). While renovating one house, I also did a second one with a realtor for a planned sale/rental. I did not use Farrow and Ball due to cost considerations. The other house was modern and modern paint colors were fine. Bonus feature - The coverage from Farrow and Ball was where the brand really shines. During the renovation, a contractor wrote all over a small section of drywall- in black permanent ink. After scrubbing it for 30 minutes, I finally gave up. I allowed the wall to dry and then painted it with 2 coats of FB "all white" paint. No primer, lol, because I was simply exhausted by the whole process. It was a small section of wall but after I was done, someone entered the kitchen and said "nice paint job!" I wanted to say, the credit doesn't belong to me, it belongs to the paint -- the paint is simply magical !

He said to just buy whatever I thought I would need and I could return things I didn't use like unopened paint thinner and primer. I took his word for it and bought more than enough to do the job. When I finished the job I had a quart of primer and a can of paint thinner to return so I brought it into the store with my receipt and asked to get a refund for the unused products. The person in the store was not the same guy that I dealt with previously. I showed him my store generated computer receipt but it was for the gallons of paint and not the primer which I bought the day before. This guy was so horrible and refused to return the unused stuff without the proper receipt. I asked if he could call his boss and ask him if he remembered me since we had a long talk about the neighborhood. He refused and was so rude that I left the store and he actually follow me out and shouted a nasty remark at me. After I left the store I decided to call back and ask about a sale based on the order number and he looked it up in the computer not realizing he was speaking to me. Once I had that information I went back into the store to demand my refund based on the receipt number he had provided me on the phone. WOW, I thought, what a fool and jerk he was. He refused me service and was rude when I came in originally; I had to outsmart him to get my refund. What a crook! I will never go in that store again. What do you need so I proceeded to ask him for a 5 gallon eggshell paint as soon as I finished my first sentence they attended rushed to the back of the store to get the 5 gallons of paint . I told him I was not done placing my or order. I also need a 5 gallons flat paint , A few seconds later, he came out with the two buckets of paint without shaking them, so I ask him to shake them. He proceeded ignore me and try to charge me for the order I I repeated myself I said I need those gallons shaken at that point I ask him if there was a problem , i said your acting as if I was here asking you for a favor , I am a paying costumer , he continue to ignore me and keep asking for payment , at point he went to the back of the store to get paint and I decide to leave without the paint I have been a costumer at Loconsole for at least 10 years always great costumer service whoever hire this store attendant is gonna lose at lot of business , he acts as a Home Depot worker that's not gonna work here since business is base on costumers service if I wanted bad costumer service I just go to Home Depot and avoid unnecessary actitud
