Came here for a gala for Rising Ground (which is a great organization and please support them or sign up to volunteer to help with the great work they do) and it was a great experience. The space is great! I was there late afternoon/early evening in March and the sunset across the Hudson was beautiful. The cocktail hour was terrific and the passed hors d'oeuvres and drinks were great. Staffing was optimal and everyone was terrific. Sit down dinner and presentation part of the evening was great The dining room did have a few big pillars which blocked views but overall I love the layout and light in the space. We were here for a wedding 5 days ago & were SO impressed (it was our son & now daughter-in-law's wedding). George, Darryl, Brianna & all of the wait & bar staff made this an incredibly memorable & seamless experience & celebration for all. So much attention to detail & so much finesse. Planning beforehand (months of planning!) was spot on, ceremony, cocktail hour & reception this past Friday were all completely successful & guests raved about the food (its presentation, it flavor, creative presentation & variety), the service & the staff's friendliness & focus. The band/reception area is large enough to hold a good sized crowd & there are other areas on the top floor for smaller parties. Of course, the views from the rooftop looking west across the Hudson, south towards the World Trade Center/Freedom Tower & north towards the Empire State Building are endless & eye catching. The cobblestoned street & low, historic buildings, even the leafy trees made for a perfect backdrop for photos & attractiveness. There is a parking garage across the street, it is less than a block away from the subway & within walking distance of a number of good hotels. Had our company's holiday party at Tribeca Rooftop for the past 4 years, and it is always the one thing that many people look forward to every holiday season. Everything always feels very upscale here, and if you haven't checked out the view from the roof, trust me, it's worth braving the cold for that perfect picture. My one regret is that I wish I snuck in a few more pictures before everyone started showing up because my pictures don't do this place justice. Not sure how it works, but I believe the venue has certain food vendors they work with, and the sushi bar/ cocktail hour is amazing. I find myself always stuffed before the actual dinner starts. The space itself is massive, and is the perfect size for about 400-500 people, and it's conveniently located a few blocks from the 1 train. read more

I would say this spot is really fancy, definitely in between great and oh this is just okay. I was here a few weeks ago for an event. Just Blaze a very famous hip hop DJ was here and so was DJ Envy and they just helped everyone have a good time here playing their music. Pusha T was there too, but he was just there to Party not perform. It was cool, seeing him randomly walk by me. It was actually a BACARDI event and there was shots called the THREE POINTER and some other Mango based alcohol on display. There was a big SNEAKERHEAD display, seriously a sick collection. I think this was a tight party to get in, there was a strict list, almost a level three party. I was lucky to get in myself. It was an amazing space to finally check out. Both floors in the place are really huge. The upstairs had the bathroom for this event, at least just for the Men. The bars were crowded but not too overcrowded where you could not move. It seemed like everyone who managed to get in, had a really good time enjoying the space. read more

Came here for a pre-super bowl charity auction - the venue was actually quite lovely and the views here are excellent. Even though the event was packed there was still an adequate amount of space which kept it from feeling completely claustrophobic. The definitely would work well as a great wedding venue. What a lovely wedding and event space located in downtown Manhattan. Large, open space. At the top two levels of the building (including rooftop), comes with a bent staircase from inside to out, dance floor they can put out, plenty of space on the rooftop for hundreds of guests to sit outside at the bars, and cuisine that you can provide or get catered by the site pros, you get a number of different options, tables, and more. Was here for a wedding once and a fun group event - both times, done well, though the bathrooms were a bit crazy after the first hour or so for the many people there, but their staff was quick and efficient in serving and preparing food. Sushi, cuts of flank steak, burgers and other options were on the menu the second time around (first time was a wedding, so no guidance there as it was a while back and I won't delve into it). Fun place to have an event, but be prepared to pay for it. Tremendous view of downtown and across out to the Hudson. read more

A perfect remedy for one who has reached the boiling point from making traveling arrangements to wedding destinations. The venue is absolutely gorgeous for an intimate, indoor/outdoor wedding. Offering a spectacular sunset view on a beautiful weather day, the rooftop offers fantastic photo opportunites of the Manhattan skyline, over the Hudson River, SoHo, and downtown area. As you descend the chic spolighted staircase, you enter into a dimly lit dining hall that oozes intimacy and relaxation. One small nitpick was the dance floor. It was on small side, and cannot accomodate a crowd of 40 people doing the Electric Slide! It was also located underneath the staircases, which led to some tables having their view obstructed during the toasts and first dance. While the venue is worth the 4-star treatment, the food was disappointing. The shrimp cocktail tasted like frozen shrimp without the right texture or flavor. The dumplings were also bland and forgettable, making one yearn for real dimsum in Chinatown. As for dinner, the crabcake appetizer was very salty dry. For the main course, the sirloin (over a bed of clunky/clotted mashed potatoes) was terribly overcooked. But then again, when no one was asked how they wanted their steak prepared, it would have been a miracle to make it right! The chilean seabass did salvage the dinner as it was perfectly cooked with brilliant flavors, melting in your mouth with every bite. Dessert offerings included the chocolate covered strawberries, which were a big hit, while the ice cream didn't really taste like ice cream. Nevertheless, all is forgiven given the extensive options at the bar. My favorite whiskeys (Glenlivet, Jameson, and Chivas Regal) were all available. The bartender was very attentive and accomodating to my rapid-firing requests that were bound to annoy anyone else. Every drink (even customized ones) were made with precision and perfect taste. Superb! A great experience if you forget the food. Just remember the view, drinks, and most importantly, remember it for the bride and groom! read more

My friend and I had a delightful time at the Jenny Yoo Fall into Love Soiree this past week. The space is just magnificent: big windows, a lighted staircase, and beautiful bar. It's large, and you could anything here - though you'd have to be a bit imaginative to figure out ways to personalize it, since it is a large event space. The bartenders were all very nice and managed a large crowd well. My biggest beef was that there wasn't enough food; I can only assume that was specific to the event, but with unlimited champagne and not as much food, ladies got a little restless. I think more could be put on the platter without sacrificing the nice arrangement on the plates. Overall, this was a wonderful New York City space. Wanna get married and have the money to spend on the perfect NYC venue? Yeah, the rooftop is it. Attended my friends wedding here and was impressed thru & thru with the service, setup, location, decor. It's slick, modern and minimalistic and setup nearly perfect for many rooftop, outdoor/indoor events such as weddings, parties, receptions and other social gathering. Whoever picked out that building is brillaint because somehow, despite being in the middle of tribeca, you get breathtaking views of water and city across the way as well as a view of lower manhattan during the evening and nighttime. Indoors is equally impressive with multiple bar, dance areas and plenty of space for all but the largest of wedding parties. I don't know much organizing such affairs but this looks like a great place to attend. Security is pretty tight to insure a minimum of unwanted party guests and you have to be led to elevators to reach the actual venue location. To the reviewer who gave a 1 star review, yes it's a space and it is what you make of it. Perhaps that event organizer didn't make good use of it at all, or maybe it was in some state of remodel at the time because I don't see at all any of the problems he mentioned. read more

This is a great venue/event space that is incredibly versatile. It could be used for anything from a wedding to a gala to a prom. You need to go up an elevator to get to the space which gives it a feel of exclusivity. It can mean waits if a lot of people are arriving at once, but they were relatively quick. There are great views of the NYC skyline and the food I had was awesome. It's spacious and there's a decently-sized dance floor and tons of tables. The rooftop is unbelievable - make sure to check it out. Seriously though, the food/drinks. There were 2 well-stocked, properly-staffed, large bars servicing the patrons. I didn't see anyone wait more than a minute for a drink, if that. They definitely have top-shelf booze (Grey Goose, Johnnie Walker etc.), though I'm not sure what it costs from a planning perspective. There was plenty of food including an enormous sushi station with good-quality fish. Someone showed a video and gave a speech at one point and the A/V system worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone hosting an event of basically any variety. read more

How do I say this? I'll start with a deep sigh and an apology: I'm sorry I drank too much and spewed at the Tribeca Rooftop. More importantly, I'm sorry I got a little too comfortable in the bathroom lounge area and may have embarrassed more than one individual. Karma got me and my drinking partner in the end: we lost our coats, my ballet flats, her sunglasses, and for a brief moment in time...our dignity. Moving on. The venue is everything I had hoped for and more. Especially once sunset rolled around. Before sunset, it's bright and open and simply a very large loft. It's really best after dark. That's when candles are lit, the lights on the staircase come on, and different colored lights fill the room inside and on top of the roof as well. In fact, the views from the rooftop really are quite beautiful. To summarize, I remember a big room, pretty lights, and pretty views. And the bathroom lounge area is nice too. Classy. Especially the floor. This place doesn't obnoxiously scream $$$$ at you, rather casually whispers it in a downtown sheik kind of way. Either way, the message that it's an upscale and pricey place is clearly heard. I would go back in a heartbeat, but perhaps with a different haircut so no one recognizes me as "that girl." read more

Attended a wedding reception here recently. And since I didn't know either the bride or the groom -- and vice versa -- I can say just about anything now. So, here's what I liked about Tribeca Rooftop: 1. On a nice night, the Rooftop is perfect at sunset 2. Great catering -- high marks for sushi, dim sum, fresh oysters! 3. Main space/interior is chic and elegant with brick walls and huge windows 4. The stairway, imported from the old Paladium, is very cool What I didn't like: 1. Not a big fan of the cigar roller at cocktail hour (maybe if we were in Managua) 2. Dance floor too small and located under the stairway (along with the band) 3. Poor acoustics in the main space (I couldn't hear a word of the toasts) 4. Getting kicked off the rooftop at midnight exactly (i guess rules are rules, but not cool) Miscellaneous Observations: 1. Two martinis should be a max, five martinis is insane (as my pseudo-date can attest....she had to be carried out) 2. The bride was smoking hawt. Way to go, groom. 3. Slide shows after dinner = bad idea. All in all, I'd say the Tribeca Rooftop is a sexy, elegant space for your big event or wedding. I would definitely double check the acoustics, though. I'd hate for your best man to be making a toast that nobody hears. read more

This is what is known as a "space". You pay to use it. What you do with it is your business. As spaces go, it's an ugly one. There's a phrase the owners haven't heard of: "wall covering". There, I said it! You want wall covering? Bring it in. If you have a function, like a wedding, and you want to stage it in the typical manner, with ores d-oeuvres then the ceremony then mingling, then dinner, the way Tribeca Rooftop management are set up for you to separate the areas is by a curtain that's about 40 feet high and maybe 100 feet wide. Sort of off-white. Blech. I would advise if you need to use this location that you hire Cirque du Soleil to actually hang people to separate the areas. That would be an excellent conversation starter, since nobody has anything to say to anybody at weddings. Then there's the hidulaycious staircase people mention. It isn't just fug ugly, the steps are black with lights built into them, so when you walk on them, you can't actually see them. I hope you haven't been drinking, because you're going to fall down the stairs if you have. Did I mention that you need a 10 foot high cake to look like it's even visible in this massive box? And flowers? No...not flowers. Rent a hothouse or three, because it's bare. I have a thing about weddings. At the bottom of the scale are weddings held in synagogues that look like ski chalets. Next up are 500 guest weddings at the Hotel Pierre. Those are beautiful, but I don't know why, I just want to go home. I like an outdoor wedding, like the one in Wedding Crashers. Oh, and before I forget, if you hire a wonderful string quartet to play at Tribeca Rooftop? It's so big that nobody can hear them even though they're 20 feet away. Sound check! One one one. If you hire a band, turn them up to 11 and hand out Jello shots. It's your only hope. And get a Broadway show lighting designer. I guess I didn't much like this place. read more

My wedding was this weekend, Sunday 8/21/16. All I can say was that this venue is amazing. Our ceremony was outdoors and the views are spectacular. The space is already finished, so there isn't much touching up that brides really need to do other than flowers and strategically placed petals & votive candles. That winding industrial staircase - all I can say is when I walked down that staircase after my ceremony, it was amazing. I can't speak for other catering functions, but for weddings, this place brings it. We are a huge Asian family and friends wedding with 200 people...so obviously, we love food & seafood. The venue made sure there was enough food. This is the best food value in NYC venues. Nowhere else can you have amazing quality seafood passed hor d'oeuvres and seafood raw bars with sushi & sashimi station (with a sushi chef actually making sushi that day), oyster bar, Mediterranean bar, basically all premium quality food for cocktail hour ALONE. Plus, premium open bar without an upcharge. For entrees, there was an amazing selection of steaks, chilean sea bass, whatever top quality food you can think of. All of my guests said the food was so good. Special shout out to Donna (our sales) - who really took care of me along the way from last year when we booked the venue to my wedding day. Ryan, the event manager for the venue, is amazing - seriously, without him, my wedding would not have been so smooth. And George, another venue staff member, who basically helped the bride & groomsmen all day. They know what they are doing and their professionalism is beyond compare. I would like to finally add that during and after the wedding, so many guests & family members & close friends approached us and said we were the best wedding they have ever attended; we were their top wedding of all time from the views, the beautiful indoor space, to the food, to the staff. GORGEOUS venue in the Tribeca area. I mean, we event planners have something to do with the way the venue looks once built, but the execution of the event was flawless and Tribeca Rooftop provided the space for us to create the event we envisioned. From what I've read so far, they do parties, they do weddings and I can confirm they can help you throw together one heck of an inaugural gala. They have staff manning the elevators to guide guests up to the PH or 12th floor, servers were incredibly polite and fulfilled our requests as quickly as they were able to and to sum it up, they just made the entire experience better for us and for our guests. The food was very mediocre and it isn't convenient to any public transportation at all, but this is the perfect space to do just about any event you are having and comes with some very fantastic views too! We recently held an event here for our medical school formal. The venue is very pretty with a spacious ballroom and good size dance floor. Furthermore, the tables were decorated beautifully and the food was delicious. The rooftop upstairs offers gorgeous views of the Freedom tower and lower Manhattan, though it has been a cold March so we only went up there for a second. My only dislike was the cocktail hour area, as the decor lacks a bit of character and it isn't as spacious. It felt quite basic in terms of appearance. However, I do think the venue is pretty and I would recommend it during warmer seasons when the roof can be fully enjoyed. read more

Awesome space, love the stairs from the Palladium, friendly door staff, some rather rude/curt staff working the event, though some gems sprinkled throughout, nice options on the main bar, some horrid bartenders, and some really excellent. Really didn't like the catering. I've had the same quality/better sushi from Food Emporium, the dumplings weren't worth the calories, and couldn't taste a bit of different between the different fillings. Some decent passed apps......some horrid.....but the mac & cheese? Disgusting. As in had to fight to not spit out the one spoonful I ate. Great space.....but that catering and the bad staff killed the overall experience. With the amount of money this place costs, there should not be one bad apple amongst the staff....and all cuisine should be beyond on point. If outside catering is allowed in, I'd say it's a good option for an event/wedding. Otherwise? Pass. read more

I went here last night for BOB's Strange Clouds album release party, and everything about this space was awesome. I've been here before, to shoot a now canceled show called The Beautiful Life, but since we were just shooting a fake party there, they didn't have the place all snazzed up like they did last night. It's two floors, with the main floor being huge, big enough for a good sized stage, two bars, and an entire camera and sound crew to set up a station as well. But honestly, it's not a Rooftop without a view, and this place has awesome views of the city, from outside of course. The outside section of the Rooftop is also grand, with tons of room for a whole bunch of people as well. This place is really well built. We held our wedding here and I can only rave about it. It's a beautiful place for a city wedding (or any big event for that matter), with a nice rooftop area where your guests can relax and enjoy the views. The space is pretty stark and loft-like. There are a ton of skylights and they line all the windows with votive candles that make the place sparkle once the sun has gone down. The food was excellent, the service impeccable. I found out later that my guests were actually tipping the waitstaff, which they shouldn't have been doing, but that's how great the service was. My guests were actually thanking us for inviting them to our wedding because they really enjoyed themselves. What a beautiful event space! Attended a wedding here last weekend and it was the perfect venue for the occasion. The ceremony was outdoors with beautiful views of the city and did not feel cramped at all, like some other NYC rooftop spaces. The cocktail hour was in another section of the rooftop, equally spacious with delicious food. There were 3 food stations: raw seafood, sushi and dumplings, cheese and charcuterie, with a handful of passed hors d'oeuvres. The indoor space for the reception is beautiful, and it's obvious they had weddings in mind when they designed the place. The bride and groom had an awesome entrance down the stairs from the terrace. I also think that the space can do well for a variety of party sizes. Of course, I cannot speak to how planning is with the venue, but the wedding was amazing. read more

This place is amazing. I was here for a network event and our company Christmas party. Both VERY different set-ups and both done very, very well. This is so far my dream venue in the future. Downstairs as you enter, you check-in your coats and bags. Then you take the elevator up to this space that is amazing. A dancefloor, two bars (one by the entrance and a smaller one on the other end of the floor. Take the slightly winding staircase up to anther level or restrooms and head outside to their rooftop area. The space out there isn't bad, but the view is spectacular eventhough it's situated in Tribeca. Early evening changing to night is a definitely goregeous sight to witness either from the venue area and the rooftop. The people who run the place and are there on your day are all very helpful and nice. read more

My work has had our annual event here for several years and very much enjoyed it. The space offers wrap around panoramas over the water and very spacious. Most events I've seen here only use half the space with the remaining areas used for staging, check in, or lounge areas. The view and the space are the most character Tribeca 360 has to offer, otherwise its just a giant blank slate, which can be good or bad depending on what you need. There is one large built in bar as well as a dance floor area and several lounge chairs/couches for clients to take or leave. Most of the issues we've had in the past, sound being the worst one, are being resolved this year thanks to some upgrades. Overall very accommodating staff and easily transformed space. read more

I love being invited to cool random parties on a weeknight. This would be the crux of my love/hate relationship with NYC. I attended an event sponsored by Bacardi. Upon entering downstairs, the coat check area is immediately to the right. Now time for the elevator ride up. Once you reach your destination and check out the view, you easily fall in love with NY again. Great space for events. It's large and flexible, so I'm sure you'll find it adaptable to whatever your needs are for your event. I attended a fantastic wedding here about a week ago. The food was beyond belief, staff were attentive and there was plenty of space for about 120-150 people. The views on the part of the building overlooking the Hudson are great, but the other side looks out over the Holland Tunnel - not the best.
