Came here for a brunch date on a Saturday around 11:30. There was a lot of available seating but I did make a reservation just in a case. We were seated outside during a beautiful summer day. I loved the strings of lights on the outside. For food there were a lot of options to choose from. I started with the Truffle Fries as a small plate to share. For the brunch, we got a Winemaker's breakfast with bacon and the burger. The truffle fries were amazing (hence the half eaten picture). The Winemaker's breakfast was good with crispy bacon and well seasoned potatoes. The burger was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Recently tried City Vineyard and overall our experience was pleasant. They're located right by the pier so it's a convenient location to stop for food/drinks after a walk on the west side. Have plenty of seating downstairs and on the rooftop. We ordered the tuna crunch which was surprisingly more tasty than we were expecting. The artichoke bread was a good portion size and also good. Similar to previous reviews, we did think the foos was a bit overpriced but its NYC, so not surprised. Service was attentive. Nice space for larger groups. read more

I really hate giving low rated reviews but this is about giving our honest opinion and talk about our experiences. My husband and I decided to do the chef's choice dinner and everything we ordered was under seasoned or over seasoned. We shared the shrimp aguachile (you can see in the picture it barely has any sauce or spices), burrata (we had to order olive oil, salt and balsamic because it didn't have much and the tomatoes were unripened), spicy rigatoni (kind of sweet(?)), and the shrimp saganaki (SO salty. It paired well with the sweetness of the rigatoni). For dessert we got the olive oil cake (very dry) and the strawberry tiramisu. I think the best part of our dinner was the service. City Vineyard was the best way to start a fabulous couple of days in New York City. The guys behind the bar were really nice, and while the wine selection was small, the options were fine and perfect for the setting and vibe. I definitely hope to try some of the food items in the future. The views were unmatched and incredible. It was very peaceful, but I can see it getting very loud and fun on the rooftop. It is more of a "self-serve" vibe, where you order at the bar and carry it and seat yourself. I've had two negative experiences with the price transparency / payment practices recently. First time I ordered a dirty martini off the menu and they charged me $28 for the drink (for reference the cocktails on the menu are all under $20); they insisted the bill was correct when I disputed it. The second time they held the payment terminal at a weird angle that I could not see the amount, when I asked to see the amount they refused and forced me to pay without seeing the number on the screen. This is extremely unprofessional and poor customer service. read more

What a perfect summer spot. Our doggy was welcomed, our delicious food and frozé came right away, our host, hostess, waitress and server were all so accommodating and friendly. I even accidentally left my ring in the bathroom and an hour later when I returned they were holding it for me. This has to be one of the best NY spots. We came here after a walk along the west side highway to grab a bite, and the location was probably the only positive about our experience. Everything was extremely overpriced and was tiny portions, the burger was $29 and was a step above a slider size. When we arrived, our cups were dirty and we asked for a new one for water. Then when we got water, there was hair in the water they poured us. In addition, the silverware was dirty. I honestly would only recommend coming here for a glass of wine and to enjoy the view, but even then it still probably is not worth it. read more

Great date night here recently despite the mediocrity, which, to be fair, is to be expected at a touristy pier with a flowery "Rosé All Day" garland on display. To drink, I ordered a Spicy Paloma; not well made and had a weird aftertaste, maybe would have liked the Passionate Affair more. BF loved the BPL. Neither was worth $18. Oysters were $50/dozen which I only mention b/c they didn't even tell us origins and they were absent of any flavor so the quality sucked. No notes of brininess, minerals.. just watery. We ordered a dozen of each and were disappointed. Shucking wasn't 100% on point either. But the atmosphere was great, and the gentleman taking care of us on the patio was welcoming, funny, and friendly! We had a seat on the outskirts of the patio that was *made* for people-watching. My partner loved the mushroom risotto balls he ordered while I thought the shrimp cocktail I ordered was just okay --price vs shrimp quality + I've had so many at incredible restaurants so I'm really partial to a specific style. The pier and walking paths nearby are the ideal place to hang out after dinner, walk the meal off. I'd come back for simple apps only and to try different drinks because the atmosphere, especially at the rooftop bar that we accidentally walked up to before seeing the condensed menu, is airy and lively. read more

Found a nice refuge after a hot morning with the kids exploring Pier 25 and 26 playground. They have a nice outdoor seating area with shade and breeze coming from the water. I was happy that they also had a children menu (although I had to inquire about it and for a high chair). Their CV burger is outstanding. Juicy, with brie cheese, arugula, and with a sweet apple onion spread. I liked that they paired the tuna poke with taro chips but wished the tuna wasn't so salty and tasted more fresh. Went for a Hip Hop and R&B bingo night. I read the reviews so I knew what to expect. We ordered pizza, wings and pasta to try a little bit of everything. The pasta was really good as long as you got everything in one bite otherwise you might feel like it needs a little salt. Evie was our server and she recommended the flatbread and the wings. Both were equally delicious. I ended taking what we didn't eat home and it was really good even the next day. I recommend using SpotHero or some type of parking app for parking because parking in NY isnt always easy. I look forward to going back. Service: I love me some good service and the service here was top tier! Everyone was so kind and ready to accommodate, my kind of place, thank you! Food: we sat upstairs for the view which limited our ordering options but we got exactly what we wanted. Delicious food in a gorgeous waterfront setting. Can't speak to the drinks but my parents seemed to like theirs. The entire place is dog friendly, and there are outdoor seating options on the patio and the roof, as well as indoors, all with a view of the water from what I could see. City vineyard is beautiful with a mini rooftop that overlooks the Hudson and ample seating throughout the entire venue. There are a lot of options for food and drinks however it's definitely on the pricier side. For drink we opted for the passionate affair (passionfruit margarita) frozen rose as well as the pineapple mint margarita. The Passionfruit margarita and frose were delicious. The pineapple mint margarita tasted like a watered down mint mojito so I probably wouldn't get that again. Although the venue itself was great, service was subpar with our waitress taking a while to bring our second and third round of drinks and hovering over us as we paid the bill to see what tip % we would give. We were seated promptly outside as requested since the view is noteworthy. While we were looking over the menu, I searched yelp for food raves and noticed more than a few people said you go for ambience and view- not the food. They were not wrong. We chose to share the hot honey flatbread and 6 east coast oysters with a light flight and a glass of Cabernet. Wine was okay. The flight had decent size pour but the quality was not anything to write home about. Flatbread came out first (which we thought was a bit odd since oysters are raw but no biggie)l. We both thought pizza was so/so. Not a lot of flavor and just okay. Oysters were better. I am not an oyster fan but they came with minionette, pesto and cocktail sauce. Plus 2 small bottles of Tabasco and a lemon. We enjoyed those more. Service was a bit slow and we were actually never asked how we were doing. His check backs were apologies for the delayed oysters and then much later he finally brought the check. I dislike the machine where the server asks you to pay while they wait awkwardly during tip and signature. It's crazy awkward. Loved the view and music but would not return for the food. Lovely location on the River. We were there for an event (Bowery Boys Podcast) which required a $25 per person food/beverage purchase. Easily done. Cheese plate had three cheeses, crackers, marmalade, nuts, and grapes. Wine was about $15 a glass. They even had two non-alcoholic cocktails available which was nice to see. City Vineyard is my new favorite place. Sitting on the water with wine and a charcuterie board is the perfect lazy day activity. The flights are only $20 and have a fair amount of wine for the price point. Our flight included Riesling, Rose, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The cheese and charcuterie board was delicious and it was so fun to try different combinations with the different wines. The waitress was so friendly and went out of her way to make recommendation, but gave us enough space to enjoy the wine, food, and views. The Igloo was super cute and it had chairs with blankets and an electric heater. The rain and wind were ferocious when we were there, though, and it sounded like we were in the middle of a hurricane. LOL it was also still pretty cold inside, even with the blankets and heater. We were a little nervous that the Igloo may blow away, but it was secured. We did have a pretty good laugh at all of it. We were there for brunch and the food was delicious. I felt bad for our server who had to come out in the weather to bring our food and wait on us.
