Sergio pierced my middle daughter's ears almost 2 years ago at the Norwalk location, and so when my youngest, whose 6, said she wanted her ears pierced, we knew we wanted Sergio to do it. Sergio is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! He talks with the entire family. He's patient and takes his time. He explains everything - from the materials/tools he uses, and why he uses them. He is big of making sure things are clean and sterile. He also takes a good amount of time explaining how to care for the piercing and why. My daughter shed a few tears with the piercing but as soon as she looked in the mirror and saw her new earrings the tears went away! I always recommend Sergio to my mom friends when they ask for piercing recommendations. He's seriously the best in Fairfield county!

First of all, I'm glad there's finally somewhere in the mall besides Claire's to go to for a quick ear piercing. Tribu is a clean, friendly, professional location! Let's start off with the obvious, Sergio is amazing! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Emmaly which took all her time with us and answered all of the crazy questions we had. Guided us through the whole process and the after care as well. Literally spent about 2 hours in the shop and NEVER did I feel any type of rush or push to oversell any product. She helped me pick out the right earring and took her time one by one until I finally found a winner. I had already read a lot about this place through all the google reviews so I was surely expecting the best of the best. Sergio made me and my friends feel comfortable during the whole experience. He was very professional and friendly enough to make you feel at ease. The process was quick on their end (not ours for taking forever to choose) and enjoyable. Had many laughs during the little journey. When it came down to business he would announce he was going to go wash his hands. Changed his gloves several times in front of us while he pulled all the tools out and opened them in front of us and guided us through everything he did. At the time of the procedure he truly has a very easing personality and a quickness to get it done as quick and painless as possible. Thanks to Sergio not one tear was shed! This place is kid, teenager and adult friendly. No appointments are required. Walk ins are welcome except Tuesday and Wednesday. When in doubt it's always good to just call. I highly recommend Sergio and the team. For sure don't waste your time at any other piercing spot in the mall, it's not worth it!

**For reference, I have ear, septum and body piercings and have been to many shops and interacted with many piercers so I'd like to think that I have a pretty good idea of everything** I've been to Tribu a couple of times (for changing old jewelry out/ear lobe piercing) and today I got my helix pierced and daith jewelry changed. The owner, Sergio, did both of those for me. Sergio is very concerned with hygiene and sanitation, he explains it and exactly what he is doing every step of the way. I thoroughly appreciate this, and he is by far the cleanest piercer with the cleanest shop that I have ever been to. Sergio is also very knowledgeable about piercing and will answer all your questions. I highly recommend this shop.

Sergio did my conch and dermals a few days ago along with my cartilage a year ago. Love them!

The shop as a whole is pretty clean, but it's large and there seems to be no privacy - you literally walk in and out of other people's stations. I went to see Kayla twice, which I gave some consideration to being that she is newly taking paying clients and finished her apprenticeship. I in no way was expecting perfect work. Her work is good. Some of the lines on both tattoos were graying after two weeks and disconnected. A bit of the color shading blew out but not terribly. I dislike that she would touch things with gloves on and than not change them and not all of her equipment was wrapped. So that's definitely something to consider. Especially when touching things without changing gloves you usually want those things wrapped at least. My other issue is going in for a touch up she refused to do a full touch up. She fixed the shaky and disconnected lines, but not the lines where color was faded which is a big part of a touch up. I got different excuses as to why the lines were grey that didn't make sense. Half the lines are grey and half are the dark black they should be. Even looking now again after the touch up a few lines that weren't fully connected we're missed. When going in for a touch up I expect a full touch up mostly because I'm not paying for a touch up so instead of wasting material fix it all in one go but also it's just more of a hassle to go in more than once for a touch up. I support new artists often and usually have much better experiences with newly tattooing people because they want to build clientele. Usually they are more cautious, cleanly, and particular about their work. That wasn't really my experience here. *in the photo you can see which 5 lines were touched up and all the ones that were not and needed to be. Also added my sisters which needed a full touch up but only had a few lines fixed.*
