My daughter had her ears pierced for her 6th birthday by Liv. Liv was great with my daughter and explained the entire process to us. She was very gentle and efficient. First of all, I'm glad there's finally somewhere in the mall besides Claire's to go to for a quick ear piercing. Tribu is a clean, friendly, professional location! Let's start off with the obvious, Sergio is amazing! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Emmaly which took all her time with us and answered all of the crazy questions we had. Guided us through the whole process and the after care as well. Literally spent about 2 hours in the shop and NEVER did I feel any type of rush or push to oversell any product. She helped me pick out the right earring and took her time one by one until I finally found a winner. I had already read a lot about this place through all the google reviews so I was surely expecting the best of the best. Sergio made me and my friends feel comfortable during the whole experience. He was very professional and friendly enough to make you feel at ease. The process was quick on their end (not ours for taking forever to choose) and enjoyable. Had many laughs during the little journey. When it came down to business he would announce he was going to go wash his hands. Changed his gloves several times in front of us while he pulled all the tools out and opened them in front of us and guided us through everything he did. At the time of the procedure he truly has a very easing personality and a quickness to get it done as quick and painless as possible. Thanks to Sergio not one tear was shed! This place is kid, teenager and adult friendly. No appointments are required. Walk ins are welcome except Tuesday and Wednesday. When in doubt it's always good to just call. Two different staff failed to take care of my earing (old piercing) even though they charged me for full service (which was much higher than any other place I've visited in past in the Danbury area). Absolutely love this place. I don't live in the Danbury area but I visited the mall with my boyfriend a few weeks back. On my way out I saw Tribu! I've been missing my nose piercings and since lockdown happened I haven't been able to get it done. I can not express how awesome Tribu is! The staff is so sweet, patient and knowledgeable. I had an associate by the name of Evie(my apologies if I spelt your name wrong) and she was honestly incredible! I originally went in yesterday just to get some new nose rings and ended up booking an appointment to get an ear piercing the next day. I told Evie that my only concern about getting a piercing was how it would look since my ears are smaller. She helped me by showing me what different ear piercings would look like on me. She was so helpful and comforting, that I booked my appointment within the time frame she was working the next day. Fast forward to today where I went in and was greeted by Evie. There's just something about having someone who is patient and understanding that makes the nerves go away. She helped me to pick out the perfect stud for my conch piercing. I then met the piercer who was Aly (again sorry if I'm botching your spelling as well) and she was very knowledgeable. She explained every single thing that she was using and or doing which made the experience so much more relaxing. The piercing room and the whole store in general is super clean! Aly marked the spot for the conch piercing and even felt the spot to make sure it was good. The most comforting part was having Evie there to reassure me that everything looked great! I have had many piercings, for decades, and am a big fan. Now it was time for my 14 year old daughter, who's been begging me for years, to get her nostril pierced. But where to go? Thank you, Yelpers, for helping us find this place!!! I have never been to a piercer who was more thorough, friendly, or more absolutely sanitary. Right down to the method by which he marks where he will pierce (no pen or sharpie, he inks a toothpick with food grade dye and marks the spot with that! They thought of everything!), Sergio never touched my daughter's face with anything that had ever touched another human being. There IS no transfer of germs going on in this sterile place. Not a single bit. He is friendly and explained everything that was going to happen, and detailed aftercare instructions. He did the piercing so flawlessly that my daughter had a big smile and said it didn't hurt one bit! Two huge thumbs up! Went on Sunday (9/3/23) booked an appt through their website. Sergio was wonderful- very calm and easy to chat with! Had my first nasal piercing (I'm 43). It was quick and pretty painless. Everything is extremely clean and well organized in the shop and piercing room. So far (2 days out) it's been normal healing- keeping up on the detailed directions to keep everything moving in the right direction! I did purchase the H2O spray they have in the shop, but then made my own with my water distiller and sea salt for extra spray to keep at work. I will never get pierced any where else. Three months ago, I got my nose pierced with a stud (mind you the only piercing I got before this were my lobes as a baby). He made me feel comfortable and I wasn't scared at all. The piercer is personal and comforting. He told me everything I needed to know to keep my piercing clean & healed properly. Today I went in to change my stud to a hoop (I decided to come back so I get it done correctly). He had the same great energy and comfort despite being much busier than the day of my original piercing. He explained why I may feel discomfort, etc. Very happy. The place overall is so clean and the staff is amazing. Anytime a friend tells me their looking for a piercing, I tell them to come here. I'm from 30 min away and the ride is always worth it. The piercer is super nice and the piercing was totally clean and everything was sanitized, the only problem was the information that I got. I was naive so I wanted a hoop as my first nose piercing and no one had told me other wise they had just said it was going to be an extra charge, after doing research I realize it was actually going to be a harder healing process and there were risks to putting in the hoop that no one had told me about. Low and behold a bump shows up so I call of course asking what to do and they had said put tea tree oil on so it I did and it just gets worse and worse. I really wish they could have given me information about not getting the hoop as my first piercing as I'm now stuck with an irritation bump that doesn't want to go away. read more

I took my 8 month old for her ear piercing. Everything was extremely clean, everyone was friendly. The girl that did my daughters ears said that she had done a ton of babies which made me feel comfortable. She had an extremely low tone of voice and with the mask on I could hear her even less. I'd ask her to repeat the after care instructions a little louder each time and it was near impossible to understand still. it was just extremely annoying. But the actual reason for my bad review is because this person did not put protective end caps on the back of the baby's earrings. Since she's had her piercings she wakes up in the middle of the night a bunch of times crying and at first I hadn't realized, then I looked behind her ears and my poor baby has been getting poked by this very sharp earring to the point that it was almost bleeding. This never happened with my first child as caps are common sense and I cannot believe they didn't put them on! I'd take a picture but it's almost 3am and she just fell back asleep for the 3rd time because of this and don't want to wake her read more
