It's not often you get to say your experience was perfect. First, the GM, Izzy was knowledgeable, kind, entertaining and engaging. My server Sidney was charming, helpful, efficient and encompassing. Perfect service all around. The pizza is...for lack of a better phrase... life changing. The sauce was flavorful and distinct but didn't overpower the toppings. The crust was crispy but chewy. It's probably the best pizza I have ever had. The Happy Sunshine beer was light, crisp, and refreshing but I added orange slices to it that gave it more complexity. It is open and roomy. Family friendly. Just an amazing place. It may be a bit pricey on the food in some places but so reasonable in others and the drinks were priced well below what they are worth. They have bands on Saturday. I can't wait to go again!

3 IPA's on tap. From left, their West Coast, there 7% IPA, and then their Tricky IPA. My personal favorite was the West Coast.

Had a free evening and decided to visit this new brewery. Depending on which way you come into the parking lot you may see the old sign of the previous Willoughby Brewing Company still up, but on the entrance side of building there is the Tricky Tortoise Brewing name in huge letters. Was a Saturday eve, the parking lot was full and with the weather being great their patios were busy. We came in and were seated fairly quickly. From the moment we sat down we were constantly checked on for service which was fantastic. We ordered a a few beers to try and had a couple of the ones we preferred. Ordered food and was not disappointed. The food, beer and service will have us return. We hope it stays that way. Also love that beers appear to always be Happy Hour price vs other breweries which is nice.

Had the Sky burst IPA. Very good. Hubby had Vedett which is a guest Tap. He liked it. Ordered SPO pizza and Sausage stuffed peppers which had a little kick and. was just right for us. Pizza was good as well. Server (Destiny) was hostess, bar keto and server all in one and she did a great job with all of it. Very friendly.

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest staff and your sense of smell is pleased by the delicious aromas permeating from the kitchen!!! The service was incredible and our server Steph was excellent! The food and drinks are fantastic and get a 10/10! I would highly recommend coming here and enjoying all the hand crafted cocktails, delicious food and incredible service!

We decided to try this place as it was new to DTW. We first ran into the issue of parking; be prepared to pay $6 for parking in the restaurant's lot. The restuarant itself is quite bland inside (I noticed someone mentioned the broken blinds, and I did see those as well), but the service was pleasant. I got the Blueberry Lemonade cocktail, and it was quite good, well-balanced and you could actually taste the drink it was meant to be. They have a limited beer list, and the food menu is your average bar menu. I felt as though we should've had an appetizer evening instead, but we wanted to try the actual meals. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and limited on BBQ sauce, and you should be able to taste how it was "cooked in their own brew," but it didn't quite hit the mark. Next, the pizza was okay; it was cooked well, but you could tell the crust wasn't homemade or fresh. It would be interesting if they had just a few specialties that separated them from other bars in the area, but it could be a good hangout every now and again. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I probably won't go back. Parking: The parking lot for Tricky Tortoise, Sol, Barrio, and basically that little strip are private property, not public parking. The sign says "all day parking $6," but we only spent about an hour in the lot. Kind of awkward that you need to pay to be a patron of the restaurant.

I tasted them at Iron Mann in Girard. Shout out to those guys for having this extensive selection, along with great, friendly service I'd say check out 1547 wherever you find them and see how your tastes compare to mine... My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. No bitterness, but like others on the flight, it's a light version of this style. I'm used to a more potent hit of juice from a NE IPA, it's drinkable for sure

Thoroughly disappointed by our experience at Goldhorn…read more When we walked in, one bartender glared at us as we sat down and expected us to... customer serve ourselves? The other was too engrossed in his conversation with other patrons to notice us. We weren't greeted, asked if we had any questions about the menu, etc. Once we got our drink order in, we were interested in getting food as well. Getting the attention of the staff was truly a feat to boot. We finally got the food order in and ended up moving to a table because the first bartender kept staring at us with her hands on her hips. We got the food, expecting something like Bottlehouse/Masthead/HiHo for our meal, and it was Sysco food. The chicken sandwich was a Sysco chicken tender on a bun. For over $35.00 in food alone, we expected more. We both work in the service industry and understand that things happen, but being treated like an inconvenience for our entire experience is something I was not expecting from a brewery with such high ratings. The cherry on top: in the men's room, 1 of the 3 sinks and both of the urinals were out of order. Definitely will not be back.
