first time here since the last time we came nine years ago. The inside is exactly the same nothing has changed! We came on a Saturday night this time and honestly, they need to play some background music it adds to the ambience, also so I don't have to hear the next tables entire conversation!! My tables opinion...they need to put more AC on we wereall slightly uncomfortable eating dinner with sweat going down our backs as for the food, both appetizers were very tasty. We had zucchini flowers, and the salad with beets. all of the dinners were decent as well. It was our friend's birthday and he has a taste red velvet cake so we brought him some cupcakes. We love Triestina's Ristorante!!! The ingredients are fresh and handled with precision on the plate. The lobster bisque was perfection, the beet salad is packed with flavors on the palate, the capellini pommodoro is packed with fresh tomato and basil, and if you don't come back for that, you will be back for the pistachio cake dessert. Absolutely EXCELLENT! We had dinner here last night. The food was extraordinarily delicious! Everything was exceptional with very generous portions! The zucchini appetizer, fresh from their garden, was incredible as was the the mozzarella with fresh tomatoes (sorry I forgot the name of the dish). For entree I had the veal francais which was amazing! The owners and staff could not have been more friendly, hospitable and accommodating! The weather was perfect to eat outside! The food is delicious! But the attitude of the owners not so good. I parked next door by mistake, and unbeknownst to me, I dropped my glasses without knowing. I moved my car. i was half way home when I realized that my glasses were not in the car. I live an Hour away. So I called and asked one of the owners if he could please check the parking lot next door. I got a 'no!' So I went back two days later and I found them in the parking lot. Of course, by then someone ran it over. I just feel that was rude. So I will never go back there. read more

Plenty of potential, literally so much room for obvious improvement. I've been here a couple of times and I'm glad I waited to to write this review. THE GOOD (on a busy night - Some Fridays and most Saturdays): the food is delicious, fresh, warm and full of flavor; however, don't come during their down time... THE BAD (Monday through Thursday and most Sundays): it's dead, this normally wouldn't be a bad thing, I mean it would be AWESOME to have the restaurant all to yourself right? Wrong! Instead you have 7 waiters that surround you like vultures because they're literally bored out of their minds (can't blame them, this is clearly management's fault). Another issue is that the food on a not so busy night is bland, cold, tasteless (literally completely different taste on a busy night). One more thing that is unexplainable is the fact that they handwrite your bill! This to me is almost as bad as faxing in your order. Literally stuck in stone age! Bottom line: come here on a busy night for Amazing food and mediocre service. Or when there's no one here except for the waiters breathing down your neck serving you cold tasteless food. read more

If you are looking to get nasty attitude, menu snatched out of your hands and eye rolls this is the place to go! Not sure who the guy was but he was the only one not in uniform. When he was taking our orders he spoke to us like children! When the food came out he was so mad that we didn't make room for our meals! If he could've thrown the food at us he would've. He seemed so irritated for serving us. There was holiday music playing but they turned it off. When we were getting ready to leave they turned on the music. We had a party of 11 people, if they didn't want us there. They should've told us from the beginning. The food was disgusting because the atmosphere was unprofessional. We did NOT enjoy our meal. Well we thought we'd have our Annual Christmas party at Teiedtina again this year. It turned into a complete disaster. Three people called in the am to say either they or their children were sick. The day before one person's father's caregiver said she wouldn't be able to stay with him so she couldn't make it. So unfortunately 4 of the original 12 people could not be there. The moment the first people came in (10 minutes early) the owner started saying we all better be on time because he ha dinner service at 4. He went on and on about how people had be late in previous years. But he was just down right rude even before he found out the full group wasn't coming. And aggressive. If he didn't want the business he shouldn't have taken the reservation. The food was meh! Who puts brown gravy on Chicken Murphy. There were less appetizer selections. We finished by 4pm but then he said my husband credit card wouldn't go through which shocked us since it was the business card we tried mine the same account and he said the same thing. It was embarrassing.We gave him another card that he said went through. I spent 20 minutes trying to get through to the credit card company to find out what happened and they assured me no one had put a charge through on either card. I suppose He was just trying to be a jerk and embarrass me or get me to give him cash. He also put a 25% tip, which I didn't mind paying since the waitstaff was lovely in spite of their boss. We had been here a few times before over the last ten years but this Saturday we came here for a family dinner with 15 people in the second smaller room. Benny our waiter and Isabel our waitress were both very attentive and accommodating, including providing additional support for one of our family members who is in a wheelchair (one main reason we chose Triestina is because the bathroom is wheelchair accessible as well). Isabel also played with my 3 year old niece and kept her occupied for a while so her parents could enjoy their meal! The other Benny (the manager) could not have been nicer. He arranged everything to make our dinner as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We did not feel crowded at our table like other restaurants sometimes do and Benny worked directly with me in planning our dinner party and was very easy and flexible to work with. He even contacted us because two member so our party had forgotten their leftovers that were neatly packaged by the waiter and Benny put them aside for us. Triestina serves a host of Italian classics entrees and sides and the menu is quite large, with some good specials offered. The premises, tables, utensils and floors were impeccably clean, and the food was good. All our meals tasted as good as they looked. Many people seemed to be regulars but the restaurant was not noisy. We also liked that Triestina is BYOB so you don't feel pressured by staff to order drinks. Everything served here was of high quality and they do not skimp on anything served. The prices are reasonable for a nice Italian dinner. Owner is extremely rude. I called to get information about booking an event for lunch. He was annoyed that my small child was in the background. He told me that I should have my own room and hung up on me. I called back and someone else answered and then hung up on me. I called back a third time and when he answered he said to me...." am I talking to you or your kid." Very unprofessional. I will most certainly never go there. I was craving chicken parm, and not wanting to go far, I remembered there was a restaurant near my home, which was Triestina's. I went there and I thought it was a little pricy for what I got, but ok, if it's good it's worth it. However, I didn't find it good at all, not much taste at all. Since it was my first experience there, I am not going to count them out, I will try another dish to give the restaurant a second chance. Nice clean place and the host was very nice. read more

However, this place literally is 99% clientele over age of 60.. def not a hip atmosphere.. More a 2.5 than a 3. A delicious main course of pasta surrounded by a really weak tasting Caesar's salad and a really bad piece of Italian cheesecake. The Caesar tasted like lettuce and lettuce alone. Thank goodness they brought me anchovies I'm not sure what the deal was with the cheesecake but it was like eating pureed paper. It was totally without any flavor at all. My wife agreed with my assessment of the Caesar. To be totally fair, our service was excellent. The young lady who was pouring our wine was extremely attentive. Our friends who picked this place absolutely loved it and since this was a business dinner, I kept my mouth shut. One of the best local Italian restaurants! They serve a host of Italian Classics and the menu is quite large, with specials often offered. I've been here more times then I can count and the food is always spot-on. It's nice and casual for lunch and during dinner you have a more relaxed and dimlet feel with some great food. My favorite is the chicken parm but sometimes the specialties catch my interest and I order something else. All of their appetizers are pretty delicious as well. Meals are served with bread and salad which is a nice portion. I really enjoy the atmosphere here and it is BYOB for those who would like to bring a bottle of wine. They also have a large room to do special events and their catering menu is great. The manager Works directly with you when planning a party and is easy to work with. Everything served here is a high quality and they do not skimp on anything served. Prices are reasonable for a nice Italian dinner out. My only complaint to this place is that for some reason no matter how warm it is in the restaurant, the bathroom is always freezing. I feel very at home here it is byob which is nice, tonight i had a stuffed chicken w/ sausage,broccoli rabe, ricotta cheese & mozz cheese in a marsala sauce just lovely, my dinner companion had the homemade pasta with crabmeat in a volka sauce thats was so so good. You will not be disappointed here it is a very nice place with great food and not overly priced either, oh one more thing the desserts are wonderful.. So give them a try i really think you will like it. One More thing i would call for reservation on the weekend they can get very busy and when i say busy i don't mean loud busy just happy busy! Went here about 10 plus years ago for a birthday party and liked it and for some reason didn't go back until 2 weeks ago. Cannot explain why. It took so long. This is a neighborhood place. It's easy to get to and easy to park. Went 2 weeks ago as part of a group of 6. The food was outstanding as was the service, the prices and the portion size. I got Chicken Murphy; the others got veal perm, a few got salmon and also shrimp. Everyone was happy. Came back again tonight, a party of 4. I got a sea bass special, 2 got salmon and 1 got a veal and pasta dish. Desserts were outrageous; everything was great. Never had to ask to get the water refilled. It's BYO. The people are super nice and accommodating. You will not leave hungry and your wallet will appreciate the meal as well. I really liked the food here a lot. It was great. I thought the pasta was so fresh and the chicken was prefect. We ordered hot antipasti as an appetizer that had a mix of stuffed mushrooms (always one of my personal faves), eggplant rollatini, and some mussels. We also ordered calamari. For dinner my bf had a boneless ribeye that was a special for the evening and I had chicken parm with linguine. I thought my meal was amazing and my bf loved his. My family and I came here last night. We have lived in the area for my entire life and have never tried this place, or heard much about it. So I had no expectations going in. I was so pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is pretty and quaint. The lighting is most favorable. As soon as we walked in, there was a girl waiting to take our coats. We were seated right away (we had reservations). It was just the right amount of crowded. We started off with complimentary bread and bruschetta. The bruschetta was very tasty. The bread was warm, but the butter was very cold, which made it difficult to spread. I could have done with better bread. It's a BYOB, so we had two bottles of wine, which they opened for us promptly. The waiter came over and rattled off a ton of specials. I couldn't even remember all of them - perhaps a printed specials menu for the table would be better. All of the specials sounded delicious. We had fried mozzarella wedges with tomato sauce and a special appetizer of breaded asparagus in a sort of wine sauce with parmesan cheese. The starters were wonderful. I loved the asparagus. I had the second best chicken parm in my life (rivaled only by Tony's Di Napoli). It was a huge portion, the sauce was wonderful, it was perfectly breaded with a generous amount of cheese. My dad also had the chicken parm. My mom had a special grilled salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes - she practically licked the plate clean. My aunt loved her chicken marsala, especially the sauce. The waiter came by with a dessert tray - we had two slices of the carrot cake and lemon sorbet. The chocolate mousse cake looked amazing, but no one could handle such a rich dessert after all the other food. This was a great place and I will definitely be back. read more
