Getting pre-packaged food is not only easy for my busy schedule but also helps me maintain proportion dieting goals and in my specific case remaining true to Keto. If I had to provide any criticism it would be that I wish I could go into a storefront and pick up extra meals or my main order. Planning ahead two weeks for delivery purposes is sometimes cumbersome. In the future I hope that I can see what meals are options for the upcoming week and choose my preferences. All were awful- claimed to be organic, yet delivered non-organic processed food (Factor). One w so many damaged meals weekly that they asked US to go elsewhere -as they have no current plan to fix the obvious problem! (CookUnity). Oh the stories- but back to high hopes for Trifecta: Signing up as a new customer today, the order interface to website on mobile with good signal was slow & not logical (cart filled & couldn't click to change meals- had to use chat to get help on how to progress) Chat was clunky - type in your full name, email & message & wait - EVERY time. Then type in all over again because once connected, agents can't see it!! (I needed chat 3x to get order placed due to issues) But the people behind the chat were good. Mackenzie R. helped me to fix: 1- Discount code was not applied to order. 2- When do I place next order after 1 one? System should tell customers upon ordering! Mackenzie noted system will send email a few days before (I think but can't remember- boy it would be helpful if copy of chat were sent!) I also don't yet easily see if I can order ahead...grrr They don't have a texting system yet. 3- Do you have new menus weekly? No. A few per month. Ok, so if they're good, we can find favorites to repeat- fingers crossed. I order for the first time 5/1/2025 . I get other food delivery services and wanted to try this one as I seen reviews seem to be mostly good well at least on their personal site . I have to say canceling was very easy and they did reach out and apologize but i did throw out 8 remaining meals ( at my cost) . These meals were not good at all unless you love the taste of vinegar . My vegetable's tasted like straight vinegar. Asked husband to try to see if it was just me nope he spit it out he said this is bad don't eat it , meat was super dry . Tried another one of the meals to see if it was just that one nope the burrito was same vinegary and so dry i choked on it . For the price of these meals you can get way better in my opinion . read more

Service: Received support from Paulina and she was super helpful in figuring out how to make sure I can pause and also confirming my next shipment. The dashboard is a bit confusing on what you're charged vs when your next shipment will arrive. I will say the website is a bit cluttered and while I was waiting for a support person to chat with, I was clicking around the dashboard and the chat box went blank so I had to restart the process Food: Nothing special, you are paying for convenience of meals where you know the macros. Some of my packages were vacuumed sealed and 2 were not. My shrimp bowl was drowning in sauce so the veggies were super soggy but the Barbacoa bowl was fine. Seasoning is pretty bland and texture is hit or miss but I was fully expecting that from premade "performance meals". Again, here for the convenience. Delivery: Timely and came on Friday as expected. Be aware when you order your first box, you will already be charged for next box THE FRIDAY you receive your 1st box unless you're in your dashboard and skipping the next delivery before the charge date. I didn't see ANY reminder emails about the next charge or delivery date but I definitely would have skipped or chosen out different meals for my next box. Although I am very grateful, I still stand by my original review as I think Trifecta's marketing practices are very misleading and the actual food you receive does not remotely resemble what is represented on their website. I think if you believe that strongly in your product, then post actual pictures of the meals that are being purchased and let the consumer decide. *** You might want to think twice before ordering from this company . . . I really try not to write a negative review unless it's warranted and I'm afraid this one does. First, let me say the food tastes terrible. And when I say terrible, I mean it's really terrible and almost inedible. The same base flavor seems to be in every meal and overall they are completely unappetizing in appearance, smell, and taste. All the meals truly look and taste like the same hash with a couple of different ingredients. Seriously, how can someone make a simple egg and sausage dish taste so bad? Are they powdered eggs? My husband will eat just about anything and even he didn't like Trifecta's food and went so far as to say that it looked and tasted like cat food. I'm not sure he knows exactly what cat food tastes like but I think you get his meaning. Of the 20 meals we received (10 breakfasts and 10 dinners), we threw away every single one of them after only a couple of bites, with the exception of one salmon dish. I'm just amazed anyone could write a positive review for this food. Second, I think it's very shady to be charged for the second week's billing before we even had a chance to taste the food from the first week's delivery. Note the delivery for the first week was made on a Friday and we were charged for the second week's delivery the very next day on a Saturday. When I tried to cancel the second week's order on that Monday after trying the first four meals, the customer service rep was unable to accommodate my request and I was charged yet another $164.98, where all of it went in the trash. Note my cancellation request was made on a Monday for something that wasn't planned to ship until that Friday but yet they couldn't accommodate my request. Hmmm. When I again emailed their customer service team to invoke the "100% money back guarantee", I was refunded a whopping $54.25 from my first order only and my second shipment still proceeded forward. So, my "100% money back guarantee" cost me a little over $200 for completely inedible food. If you're considering ordering food from this company, I would seriously think twice and read a few more of their reviews (which I wish I had done!) instead of falling prey to the slick marketing on their website. If you are still compelled to try them out for the convenience like I was and think the other negative reviews are just a fluke, I would highly recommend that you immediately pause your subscription as soon as you press the subscribe button so you get a fair opportunity to try the food before automatically getting charged for the second week. Personally, my recommendation is to avoid this company altogether as I think they have very poor business practices. I could overlook the bad tasting food and even not getting all of my money back for the first week's order despite their 100% money back guarantee, but to still ship the second week and charge me an additional $164.98 even though I notified them 5 business days prior to shipping that I wanted to cancel my subscription because we disliked the food, that's just not a company I want to do business with or one that I would consider ethical. read more

TL;DR - Bad: Terrible customer service with slow responses, 0 solutioning/flexibility, bad website UX/UI, food is 5/10 at BEST. A lot of meals are "dog food" in texture or too spicy to eat, and they're allergic to salt it seems. Good: consistent quality (not good quality, but consistent quality) and delivery. Unlike a lot of meal service, they have decent macros and you don't need to choose your meals and risk the diet. It seems their customer service policy is "oops, your bad." For the amount of work it takes to skip weeks of service, the bad UX/UI on their website, and meals that are below average in taste and texture, at $16/meal it's just not worth it. Special shoutout to Kian, for your "customer service"... We were traveling this week, and we had to plan accordingly to cancel many subscriptions to skip a week of deliveries, amazon/coffee/pet's food/meal service/etc... I had to resort to emailing them in the first place because I can't see any actions to take when I click on "skip weeks" on their website, so I CAN'T do it on my own! As within the policy we did everything on Friday (because why not make it the most inconvenient day of the week, brilliant!) unfortunately with many emails going out, I emailed the wrong business about the skipping of the weeks of the meal service (yes, my mistake). I reached out on Sunday morning as 48h had passed and I hadn't heard back. I got a response end of day sunday, which went to spam. Tuesday as I was about to follow up again 48h later, I found their email: "We're happy to help! Unfortunately we can't find the email, but send us a screenshot to help." I replied with the screenshot at 9am tuesday. They replied at 1:30p Wednesday "thanks for the screenshot, but the screenshot you sent doesn't have the time and date you sent the email and the first email we have is from the 12th which is past our deadline." I replied 40min later, pointing out that they missed it, because the date and time are to the far right on the image. They replied an hour later saying "Thanks, we submitted it to our tech team because we still can't find it, please send a screenshot of the pop-up with the emails information" and sent a screenshot as an example of where to click (not an example image mind you, just an arrow pointing to where to click to get the info.) As I was trying to take the screenshot (which is impossible to take due to how the pop-up and the snipping tool interact where the snipping tool will close the pop-up, and is probably why they couldn't provide a sample image but just point out where to click), I saw the information pane and I noticed it went to the wrong info@emailAddress. At this point I just thought they don't want to give a refund either way, which is understandable for struggling/small businesses and depending on their volume of transactions, refund fees can be costly. I reached out and apologized for my mistake, but the issue remains that we would be out of town and I didn't want the food to arrive just to spoil, we have no way of getting it inside or anybody to ask to store the meals. I asked what my options were, and 21h later, we're about to take off and I hadn't heard back, so I followed up... Crickets! They replied Friday at 4:58pm saying "ah sorry for taking so long, but you reached out past our cutoff time so there was nothing we could do to stop the shipment." - The box of food was already on our doorstep by the time they replied. Not asking for a miracle, didn't even directly ask for a refund, I asked for options - they gave me 0. Could've used the box as a giveaway sample box, give it to someone in need, store it and freeze it yourselves and then deliver the box - I would've been open to any of these, but they didn't even bother to try. The food is disgusting and looks worse than dog food. One of the meals, piri chicken, made my fiancé sick. As you can see from the pic the food looks nothing like the food they promote in the ads. This is the first meal prep service I've ever used so I don't have much to compare to, even with that said, I love my trifecta paleo meals. I use my air fryer to prepare them and I don't find any issues with taste or texture as mentioned in other reviews. I'm a Night Shift nurse with a long commute and very active schedule. I loathe meal prep in all aspects. Trifecta has eliminated so much of that stress for me. I do wish the website was more mobile friendly and offered more autonomy to the consumer in terms of fully canceling a subscription. The food came frozen, even though they say the food is never frozen on the website (they say they "deep chill" it to preserve the freshness (???), but if something is rock hard, covered in ice and cold a.f., to me is frozen). Everything looks and tastes the same, which is a disgusting slop that reminds me of a throw up. Look at that picture!! What is that! Where are the whole foods you're promising? I had to read the list of ingredients to discover that most of them were powders (potato powder, mushroom powder, etc). On top of that, the average protein amount is below 30g per meal, which is unacceptable, considering that they claim to be macro balanced for athletes. Trifecta has made my WFH lunches a breeze. I like the Whole30 meal plan because I know that the ingredients are clean, but there is a good variety. There have been some package changes recently (Fall 2022) that they are working through, and I think once those are solved, I'll be back to a full 5-stars with Trifecta. Before you order, I'm only rating this a five star because of Paulina from CS. My package was delivered to me and I live in TX. Food quality: I think it can be better. As I told Paulina, I enjoyed the first set of meals and after that, it was not so tasty. The website makes their food seem much more, but really, doesn't look all that tasty after heating. This is with all honesty. Packaging: The packaging is poorly done to travel with our heat wave in full effect. My package came in all soggy. There were three ice packs in the insulated box and all my meals were warm. Don't worry, Paulina help get my money refunded due to the poor packaging and unsafe meals. Customer Service: As stated, I was able to contact Trifecta and I have measured the temp of my food before I contacted. Paulina was even happy to wait for me to check the other meals before refunding just two. I found that all but one were safe to keep for later. Didn't look good either, but overall Paulina was pleasant to work with. Dislike: As most stated, you're charged the second week before you even get to taste the first. I ordered in July and they ended up missing the delivery date then blamed covid. I wouldn't have had an issue if their emails or site had mentioned such delays. Trifecta checks all of the boxes, organic, non-GMO, sustainable farming practices, and adherence to banned ingredient standards. They also allow every other week shipments. I am trying plant-based, for three reasons, the environment, improving my overall health, and I need inspiration for plant-based food preparation, I love salads, but I get bored with the same food every day. I wish they didn't have minimums, forcing me to add breakfast, which I rarely have time to eat but I will give it a shot. We just wanted these for weeks that were busier and filled with short work related travel, they seemed perfect with Whole30 options and vegan. Ordered a mixture of both to try out. Our first shipment arrived super well packaged and froze nicely for the days we needed something they were easy. The meals were bland but I'm a home cook and could easily add something to make them less like flavorless hospital food. We put the service on hold for as long as the system would allow as we had extensive travel out of the country coming up. The week we left the country I forgot to check and the meals were shipped without my intercepting. They were delivered and sat for 2 days before my housekeeper found them at the doorstep completely wasted. She notified me via text that the box was wet and stuck to the patio tile so I requested she open it. (The box was warm and the meals were shipped this time in these carboard containers that were breached during shipment so a few would have been trashed anyhow.) I immediately contacted customer support to suspend future shipments. This is where it all went downhill and the greatest reason there is zero chance I will ever go back to this company or recommend them. With the first shipment wasted I could take ownership even if it was $200+ left to rot on my doorstep but I received a response from Customer Service Monday morning stating that they would cancel my membership after my next order. I'm not in the country, I had explained this in my prior message, could they please hold that shipment or cancel it prior to shipment? NOPE they insisted that production was such that they would have ALREADY been produced to be shipped 5 days later and could not be stopped. "Could I have a neighbor or relative/friend go over and pick up the package" So 420$ later I could have donated them to charity rather than wasting food and way more money than these were worth at all. I'm working on having a local church member pick up the box to use at a food bank but this is with exactly zero help from this company. They simply stated I agreed to the terms when I ordered. Called multiple times and was told multiple times that "it's coming via next day shipping." Five days and multiple calls later, still no food and still getting the same excuses. However I have already been charged for last week and this week. How about giving me an honest answer that you forgot to make my food instead of being so deceitful? The appearance of the meals are unappealing, but I understand that there is only so much you can do with tofu scramble and beans and such to make it look appealing without a ton of additives. What deal does trifecta has? Absolutely never going to deal with company again. Update: Unfortunately, the shipping now is rescheduled to Sunday end of the day. This is the 2nd reschedule. Tomorrow is Sunday and I'm sure it won't be delivered tomorrow. As this is food, I am not able to consume the cooked food which was prepared a week ago and not frozen. When I called the customer service a men that did not stop repeating my name in a very pretentious way, told me that by the policy I missed the cut off day by one business days, ALTHOUGH I requested to freeze my plan online!!! And mind you, there's no way to cancel the subscription online, you have to call them for that. summing it all up its just ONE BIG SCAM. I was not able to eat any of the food options. All the meat is too salty especially the pork. The chicken is dry. I tried many different ways to prepare it. I use the air fryer like they suggested. The sweet potatoes are runny like maybe they're half powder and half roll sweet potato or something. I don't know. It was very runny. read more
