I've been visiting Yubu Yum for years. They're now located at the Midtown Eats ghost kitchen at 22nd and S right behind Zoe Coffee and Tacos. The Ghost Kitchen has a lot of great options, and while it's take out only, there are picnic benches all around if you're looking to eat right away. There are a few parking spots by the ghost kitchen but you're better off parking on the street since there's a flow of delivery drivers coming in and out for delivery orders. I recommend calling ahead to order (cash or venmo) or ordering online (for pickup or delivery). The last time I ordered I called in and I always get their 6 piece combo that comes with your choice of six yubu and a drink. It's a lot of food and could be shared, or if you're really hungry you could take them all down- they're delicious enough that you'll want to. Individual Yubu are about $5-$6 per piece and have a sweet tofu packet loaded with rice and then the topping of your choice. All the toppings are delicious and they offer a variety of options including fresh fish, bulgogi, corn and cheese, pork, and crab. They also have a variety of sides like mini udon, kimchi fried rice, sodduk sodduk, mandu, potato croquettes, mini honey pancakes and more. Some of my favorites are the bbq albacore, garlic butter crab, lemon pepper salmon, myungran crab, spicy tuna, and seared tuna. I love trying new options whenever they have them though. I've only ever ordered pick up, but I appreciate that delivery is available too. This is one of my favorite spots for a treat meal when I'm craving fresh fish. For me, these are more filling than sushi and I love the sweet and savory combination of flavors that yubu offers. read more

What a treat. I had an opportunity to try a variety of items. I unfortunately can't speak on the ambiance as I experienced the food from delivery. I'm sure the service onsite will be welcoming. I had their mandu, which was fresh. Crisp to the bite and flavorful. Not oily either which is a great plus. I had their bulgogi and spicy pork, I believe, and both were delicious. Each was flavorful and had the perfect balance between protein and rice. The fact that I don't need to add hot sauce speaks volumes to a perfectly seasoned item. A friend recommended this spot to me after she tried it and really liked it. I love inari so I was absolutely down. This place doesn't have a store front. You order online and walk into this alley to get your food. It looks like they probably rent a kitchen space because there were other people picking up orders for different restaurants. Our order was taking a little bit long but the lady apologized to us and gave us some taro milk for the wait. Definitely not expected but I think that's great customer service. My favorites were the bbq albacore and garlic salmon. Great flavor and the sauce was delicious. My friend liked the bulgogi more than the bulgolgi fried rice. This is an interesting place. Let me preface that you order food and you pick it up in this place that has a bunch of lockers. You punch your code in and the locker opens with your food in a bag. Seems to be a location with multiple kitchens. I ordered through my phone and received a code. Not sure if you could even order in person. Anyways, this place serves sushi specializing in using inari. We got salmon, crab, bulgogi, butter garlic crab, spicy tuna, and i think albacore. They all tasted surprisingly good and fresh! My favorite was the salmon and bulgogi, but the other ones were also good, I just wouldn't get it again. The food was good to try but I wouldn't come back because of the experience of having to drive to a location and picking food from a locker with human to help. A ghost kitchen is such an interesting concept. Basically there is no inside. I found about Yubu Yum through Instagram. I made my order online and got the 4 pieces with a drink for $28 after taxes. I got the Lemon Pepper salmon, fresh salmon, BBQ albacore and spicy crab. When drove up there were limited spots for parking. Luckily I was able to find a spot. I got out the car and saw a bunch of signs with different restaurants. For Yubu Yum there was a sign that said I needed to call a number for pick up orders. After I called they confirmed my order and they even text you when the orders are ready. The lady gave me my bag of food and I just took the food home since there's no tables. The food itself was good and it was pretty filling even though it's finger food. I like how they provide you disposable gloves. If I'm craving this place I definitely want to try their other dishes. First time getting takeout from here, I think 3 is the perfect amount for a lunch. They do have 4 piece combo that comes with a drink but I think it would be too filling. Pick up is pretty fast and easy, there estimate time is accurate. Fresh salmon - just okay Crab - really balanced with the inari and rice Garlic salmon - my favorite! The torched top is the best part. The inari was definitely overly soaked. At the kiosk, you can pick Yubu Yum or one of the other dozens of businesses. The garlic butter crab was imitation crab but still very tasty. Can't go wrong with spam & kimchi. The kimchi fried rice was also very tasty. The combos (4 or 6 inari with a beverage) aren't much of a deal unless you're getting the more expensive inari. When we ordered, there was no one in front of us, and it took 10-15 minutes for our orders to be ready for pickup. Yubu Yum is located in the Sactown Eats ghost kitchen, which is strictly pick up only. I recommend ordering ahead and timing it so you can pick up once you arrive! I ordered about 2:15 and was surprised to find out my order wouldn't be ready until 2:40. I think maybe because one of my items was deep fried or maybe they're still getting the hang of things since it was just their second day selling. The deep fried one was yummy and was more reminiscent of a sushi roll with all the sauces. But I definitely preferred the other fresh yubu over the deep fried! Everything tasted good so it was hard to pick a favorite but the lemon pepper salmon was probably my #1, just barely! I'm just always a fan of lemon on my salmon. The fresh salmon was also very good (fresh as in raw), and then the bulgogi was super tender. The spicy pork seemed like the bulgogi but with gochujang, so I wish it was incorporated a little differently like maybe spicy rice but otherwise the spice was there. This is a multi-food location meaning multiple options are available for ordering however there is no seating to eat so this is a pick-up/delivery food only. I got 4 YUBU: Spicy Tuna 2x, 1 beef Bulgogi, and 1 Spicy Pork. Each one had its own amazing flavors. The spicy Tuna was 100% my most favorite.
