A cute little shop with outdoor seating. The biggest draw here was for my husband with the options with Lion Power Potion (made with Lion's mane mushrooms). They have all sorts of superfood coffees/drinks: Mushroom Milk, Turmeric Coconut Chai, Highlove Superfood Steamer, Witch's Brew (made of Ashwagandha spice blend), and Matcha Latte. They have delicious sounding pastries, a good selection of loose-leaf teas and regular coffee. Admittedly, for me, the coffee and pastry was not anything to warrant a second visit. The staff were very friendly and coffee and pastries ready in a good amount of time. They have several items for purchase in their shop: coffee making items and their mushroom milk for purchase. They do not have restrooms on site, but there are clean restrooms across the street at the supermarket. Also, a great stop to pickup some Hawaiian snacks and more! Coffee was good, the raw snickers was really good and so were the amaze balls. My wife said the vanilla latte was the best one she has had in Hawaii (coming from her that is a huge compliment) and there were so many gluten free options. I wasn't a fan of the key lime pie, but the friendly staff more than compensated for that one thing. Over all very good. read more

This place is great! Organic is always my go to. The avocado toast was the best ever! And they have a wonderful selection of tonic herbs and super nutrients to add to your coffee or tea. I'm giving them 4 stars simply because the barista seemed inexperienced considering the bounty of ingredients that she had to work with - first order of mastery of any tonic herbalist is to have the skill necessary to make a healthy elevating elixir taste great! When I saw Matt E reviewed this spot with 5-star love I knew this was the only coffee shop I needed to go to. Thankfully it was only a 10 minute drive from our rental. The shop is super cute and they offer coffee and specialty tea drinks. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant. The coffee is more in the 4.5 range for me. They serve it way too hot. A cappuccino and especially a Cortado should not be scalding, burn your tongue hot. They really should be warm not hot. If they dial in the temp, the coffees will be much better. They also make a nice oat milk matcha latte. And their baked goods are delicious! Heavily vegan and gluten free. Everything I had I enjoyed. read more

I'm a diehard Starbucks person from the mainland. Is that what we call the continental 48? I was a little shocked by the menu. A drink made of mushrooms? What world have I walked into? The lady behind the counter was amazing. Very patient and provided great suggestions. I went with mushroom adaptogen with shot of espresso. I need some coffee taste. Yes, this tastes different than coffee but I guess it's not really coffee. It tasted yummy. My wife had the Trilogy Cocoa with coconut milk. She thought it was ok, but I think it was the coconut milk. I should have gone with whole milk. It took about 10 minutes to get the drinks. Let's move on to the best part. The Avocado toast with the caviar blah blah blah may have been the best avocado toast we have ever had. AT is big in our family of 2 teenage girls. The bread was thick and amazing. I'd go there for lunch just for the Avocado Toast. Cool place! read more

Super excited to see lilikoi bread offered in the pasty case! However, when they handed it to me, the bread was unexpectedly cold. I suppose I shouldn't have been so surprised as the case also contained items like raw cheesecake- sweets that definitely must be kept cold! The lilikoi flavor also isn't very pronounced. Would probably skip this next time or just pick a treat you expect to be chilled. read more

This place is far too average for the prices & quality of service. 3 friends & I went to grab coffee yesterday, and as my friend tried to order her coffee yesterday, they said they were out of ice... didn't offer any other recommendation, simply dismissed her and was quite short & rude. Strike 1. Then as I go to order, a chai latte w/ oatmilk ($6.50) & a small piece of lilikoi bread ($5). My order was simple and to the point. I wasn't thinking much into it because it as I was being served, but I was not offered to have the bread toasted/warmed up. As it was given to me first, I took a little piece of it and ate it, and it was COLD, hard dry bread. Definitely not appetizing at all, so I simply asked if they could warm it up for me. The lady at the counter said she couldn't because of contamination, and shooed me off. Strike 2. My other friends (who all wanted iced drinks) saw the interaction & were all surprised by the attitude & service we received. You'd think out of the 3 ladies working behind the tiny counter that one could walk across the street to the market and grab some ice, or at least try to offer alternative options, but they had no interest. Keep in mind, it was NOT busy. Then my friends left to go grab their drinks across the street at Kilauea Market & Cafe (THEY WERE MUCH BETTER BTW) and I went to ask another worker if there was anything we could do about my cold, hard bread. She LITERALLY told me to keep it between my hands to warm it up. Strike 3. I do not recommend & will not be returning. Anyways, I gave it 2 stars because the chai was decent & the chicken repellent spray bottles on the tables made me laugh. My family went back daily for their jasmine tea! One of our favorite places we went to during our stay!

Their lattes are amazing and the house made syrups are a huge bonus considering most syrups are full of additives and tons of sugar. They also have cool adaptogen powders you could add into drinks. I was looking for a delicious coffee stand, and was not disappointed! I can be a coffee snob, so I had to check out a local shop. They had local, fresh coconut milk, and great selections for specialty drinks, that you don't see in every shop. The snacks were delicious and the coffee was amazing. Staff were helpful and friendly with finding me a perfect drink selection, and also provided tips on where to go in their specific area. read more

This place is good for a coffee,tea, or one of their pre baked goods. The food like the avocado toast, is cap . It's not fully cooked sourdough that was clagggy with avocado piled on top. The only thing that gave it flavor was the sun dried tomato pesto which also wasn't the best. Don't come here for food, it's not worth your dollars. read more

The staff were friendly and the service was fast for a hipster coffee place. I took off one star for the prices (one of the drinks we ordered was over $13) and the temperature of the drinks (a little on the cool side). I liked the availability of adaptogen powders, but overall I felt the organic/natural theming was a bit over the top and might be off-putting to people who are not used to it. Oh boy! I'm a bougie, snooty coffee snob from Portland, Oregon. And while there are about a million things to love about Kauai, one thing I found myself wanting for was a really nice coffee shop. Well, on my last day on the Island I found it. Trilogy Coffee is the perfect blend (ha!) of third wave coffee shop and laid back Hawaiian vibez. I only wish we had found it on day one. Between the espresso drink and the pour overs, they do everything well. I had a great almond milk latte, which was the perfect antidote to what was a surprisingly cool and wet morning. The BF had the pour over, and he was very happy, though he puts enough sugar and milk in his coffee to probably kill off any real nuance. To each his own... Mostly what struck me was the environment. It's teeny tiny inside, but the outside seating area is flat out adorable. Very peaceful as well. There's a long bar that is under the awning, plus a number of tables on a lawn, each covered with an umbrella. And because it's hawaii, there were rando chickens running around. Far from any road, it was quiet, chill, and perfect. I like this place. I'll definitely return on my next visit to the island. read more

Great for a snack, they have great cookies and pumpkin coconut bread which was absolutely amazing, not to sweet but just right. The prices for sweet treats are about $5-$10. It's just a little stand with some places to sit outside. read more

Incredibly good coffee---the setup is a bit hipster, but the coffee quality makes up for it. My latte was, by far, the best that I had on the island. We also tried their cookies, which were good, although not fantastic given their relatively high price. The location is convenient for those visiting the Queen's bath or the botanical gardens. TERRIBLE DO NOT GO HERE, BAD SERVICE BAD FOOD. Their avocado toast wasn't even toasted, it was raw chewy sourdough slices served with a blob of salty avocado and sides of oil & weird pesto. Customer service was super bad. I asked if it was vegan and they seemed shocked. No I don't want pesto or fake caviar. I ate this cause I was hungry, but it actually made my stomach hurt. The service was terrible. I don't think these people know anything about customer service. I did not feel welcomed, did they even smile at me??? and the barista gave me such an attitude, for asking if that food that was left there was mine, and if they had hot sauce. Which it was and they didn't tell me and no they had no hot sauce. Not coming here ever again. For $17 you're better off buying your own loaf of bread and avocado at the grocery store across the parking lot. read more

The aesthetic and vibes of this place are interesting. You get the sense of a contemporary coffee shop and that's a interesting contrast to the island vibe everywhere else. The reason for the three star review however is that I think there are much better coffee alternatives. I had the latte and it had an overly sweet taste. It was not what I expected out of a late. Great brews, and I had a lovely cappuccino. No real indoor seating so this isn't a place you take your laptop to work, which is a shame because it's one of the cutest, prettiest shops I've seen. I love how cozy the counter is, and the people are friendly. I really liked this place during my recent visit. The coffee shop is located in the back of a little shopping center. There's a really cute outdoor seating area surrounded by plants that is very nice to sit in while sipping your desired beverage. I liked their wide variety of drink and food options, as well as their inclusion of dairy-free milk. The service was friendly and quick. Their vibe reminded me of a Silverlake coffee shop transplanted into the tropical lushness of Kauai. My coffee cake was delicious, however, my latte left something to be desired, which leads to this... I took one star off for two reasons: 1) my almond milk latte didn't taste strong or flavorful. By the second half, it tasted like hot almond milk with barely a hint of coffee taste. I was sad because I had such high hopes for this hipster coffee shop after almost a week of being disappointed by the Kauai coffee scene. 2) there is currently no bathroom on site. I tried going across the street to the other shopping center but was unable to use their bathroom without a code. I really wanted to love this place, but I'll settle for like. If I'm ever back, I'd give it another shot and try and different drink. read more

Pre-Covid review. Loved this place! We came here for breakfast after our first night on Kauai. We got the Golden Granola with Macadamia milk (served warm), and an organic coffee. My boyfriend still talks about the golden granola and we have tried to replicate it at home. There was no seating inside but a lovely setup just outside. I liked that our items were served in real dishes, and the selection of foods/drinks were suitable for folks with all dietary restrictions. We met some friendly local folks who kept us company while we ate and gave us some great tips for local things to do. What a lovely way to start our visit to Kauai! Tucked away in Kilauea and not the earliest opening spot but when I caught them a little later in the day I was glad I stopped in. Very friendly and helpful staff. So many high end chocolate bars available and their sweets case is filled with local delights. I had a hazelnut chocolate roll up crescent and that was super ono. I've twice now grabbed their ready-to-go avocado cheese sandwich for lunch. I hope they add iced Thai coffee to their menu. Super chill place, great outside seating. 4.5 stars. read more

Fantastic coffee and desserts!!! I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's shortly before coming to Kauai, and cannot have gluten, soy, dairy or sugar. This place hits all of those for me! I ordered a mocha for myself, a Witches Brew for the husband, and hot cocoa for our five year old. I couldn't resist trying some dessert so I also ordered the Pumpkin Coconut Bread (fabulous!) and the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake (OMG--try this!!!) We will be broke if we come here every day, but it is seriously THAT GOOD that I am tempted. Fabulous chocolates here. Try several of the house made ones. We also had their unique hot drinks - she had a cacao drink wit macadamia milk. I had a mushroom milk with macadamia milk and espresso. These were good but not great. read more
