Been coming here for a while and love the reusable glass containers. All the food and drinks are yummy and easy to grab and go! Unfortunately on Monday I had my only bad experience. I understand that people have bad days but the girl behind the counter had a horrible attitude. A customer was asking more information on what the creamer used in the drinks was. The server was extremely short with her and it ended up that another customer in line had to explain the creamer to her! She also just couldn't care less about the customers or any questions in general and was very short with everyone. I won't let that take away from this awesome spot though. We stopped here on our way to Hanalei. So refreshing! The acai bowls are a little smaller than I expected (the bowl is shallow) but the toppings are very generous and it looks beautiful! The smoothie was also super tasty and a vibrant pink/orange. I love that you can keep the jar (you can buy lids at the counter for $1 each), but I'm curious why they don't give you the option of returning them. Latte was okay, honestly would've given this place 3 stars because I felt like it was pretty overpriced, but 4 because they're super sweet here and give you the cups to keep! If you're in Hanalei, Wishing Well Coffee Shop is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots on the island. We loved it so much, we ended up coming back every single day. The açaí bowl "with the works" is incredible--fresh, perfectly balanced, and honestly big enough to feed two to three people. It's the kind of breakfast that actually keeps you full while still feeling light and refreshing. Their drinks are just as impressive. The macadamia nut milk is next level, and paired with a vanilla mac nut syrup latte, it's easily one of the best coffees we've had on the island--smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. But the real hidden gem? The chia pudding with their house-made coconut cream topping. We couldn't stop thinking about it and kept going back just for that. The coconut cream is unreal--thick, creamy, and tastes just like the topping from the Wishing Well shaved ice (which says everything). All of their drinks are served in their signature "Slow Yourself Down" glass jars, lovely keepsakes, which you can also bring back for a discount on your next drink. The coffee was strong and smooth. We took a bag of beans home and look forward to enjoying them soon. The smoothie was so peanut-buttery and creamy from the coconut cream, plus filling from the added protein powder. Wish I had another one right now! Don't be deterred by the line outside. It moves. Once inside, you can grab chia pudding or overnight oats from the fridge, order pastries, order acai bowls/smoothies/coffee/tea, and then make your way back outside to wait. After a long morning, I definitely needed an afternoon pick me up and I ordered the daize latte. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. My boyfriend got the mango madness smoothie which was sweet, creamy, and tropical. It was smooth and not icy at all. My bestie got the signature bowl and masala chai. We all shared the signature bowl and it was a great sweet treat. The fruit was fresh and a great combination of sweetness and tartness. She also enjoyed the chai! I loved how they let you keep the jars and if you want they have the lids available. I've used the jars for drinks and snacks since taking them home. Located in the back of looks like a co-op compound, there are signs directing you each way you walk. If you see Wishing Well shaved iced, your in the right place, just go to the back of the shops. We walked from the parking lot down the street so I didn't really pay attention to parking for this plaza. It was a busy location on a busy street so it would probably be best to find a big lot to park in. Aside from the coffee shop being very hot, the staff was super friendly, all the other food items looks delish, and my order was up in no time. Drinks are served in take home jars. So cute. Love being able to reuse an item. They ask $1 Venmo per jar lid to aid in efforts to remain eco friendly. Didn't even think twice about sending it. Here to help preserve this gorgeous island. This cute, chill cafe was a regular stop on our visit to Kauai. We stayed in Hanalei Bay so it was walking distance from our place. Amazing coffee, even better acai bowls, and a sustainable cup system to top it off! I loooved everything I ordered during the week. The Banana Brew was great for before/after a workout. The Daize Latte hit the spot on the chilly mornings. Lastly, The Works Bowl was the best acai bowl I've ever had--the papaya and coconut cream on top was such a treat! We've been to Kaua'i a couple times now and Wishing Well has been consistently good!! I got a smoothie last time and also got a reusable jar which I've been using for overnight oats & matcha. Seeing the jar brings back happy memories!! Iced Latte with Macadamia Syrup & Oat Milk is what I've continued to order every time we're here. I've noticed the coffee at the places I've tried (this place included) is more acidic so the syrup really helps offset it! In the past we've also tried their smoothies which were good! On this trip, we also tried a couple of their Acai Bowls! The Signature Bowl was yummy with the perfect amount of add-ins! We also got the Works Bowl which was essentially the same thing but minus honey plus peanut butter and a couple other toppings. I love peanut butter in my acai bowls, but was not a huge fan of the coconut cream (not sweet enough for me) and the goji berries were super hard so not worth the extra $2. Absolutely loved this place! Came here everyday for 5 days for coffee when we were here. I always got the decaf latte with oat milk with a half of macadamia (so not so sweet). Soo good. The people who work here are very friendly and patient. Such an adorable place with pop up windows looking out the seating area outside and the colorful surfboards lined up. Love their clear glasses with their logo on it 'Slow Yourself Down'. Got a couple of them to bring back home with me. We had a acai bowl one day too which was also great. Definitely worth a stop if you're ever in Hanalei. This was worth the 4.5 mile drive in the morning for delicious coffee and to be surrounded by lush green pretty scenery and a visit with the chickens! Hello, I wanted to share some feedback about our recent experiences at Wishing Well. My daughters and I visited your coffee shop for the first time after watching my cousins race at the canoe regatta on Saturday, June 27. We received amazing service, and the coffee was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed it so much that after watching the World Cup on Tuesday, I told my family we had to come back. Unfortunately, when we arrived at approximately 6:55 p.m., just a few minutes before your posted closing time of 7:00 p.m., we were told by an employee, "No, can't order--we're closed," even though it was still before closing time. It was disappointing, especially since we had made the trip specifically because of our great first experience. I completely understand that after a long day, employees are eager to head home. However, if orders are no longer accepted before the posted closing time, I would suggest updating your business hours or posting a "last order" time. That would help customers--especially those traveling from farther away--plan their visit and avoid disappointment. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. Wishing Well Coffee co. on Kuhio Highway in Hanalei is a super cute outdoor restaurant made off of a few different "shops within a larger one" think of an outdoor food court but they are all the same company. The shop is very busy so the barista do their best to make their service as friendly and personalized as possible. I ordered "the works" açai bowl as well as a Matcha. I thought everything was very good. I especially liked my açai bowl. It was rich and creamy, but flavorful and filling. Be sure not to sit down any of your food as the ducks will come and try to steal your food. lol read more
