This store is in a shopping center. We happened to be in the area after trying some poke from across the street. As I was still hungry, I was looking for something else to eat. I was surprised to find so many grab and go meals. I opted for the sushi. I will say that it tasted really good for being in a supermarket. The store is very clean and organized. This is an amazing market with a great variety of food and drink product, and an array of merchandise. If is super clean, well organized and although somewhat pricey, not bad for the quality. I would readily shop here anytime. They have a prepared food counter with a good selection with both indoor and outdoor seating. I was very interested in trying a poke bowl but the servings were diminishing rapidly with a lunch crowd. They are customized to a number of ingredients on top of the main fish selection. As an alternative we chose to get packaged sushi. It was very fresh and well prepared. We were quite pleased. To have a drink we got flavored coconut water, mine with ppineapple which was a perfect accompaniment. It was a perfect meal. We dropped in last Saturday. Early enough where the poke bar was opened. Hubby got a poke bowl with two sides. Daughter & I got ready made sushi. The inari was fresh. I thought my ahi avocado roll was so so. The sushi rice lacked flavor. We decided we'll come again for poke bowls. Came once Monday afternoon. Poke bar closed. Then 3rd attempt Wednesday. Closed again. Come to find out Poke bar closes at 1:30pm. It's very popular and they sell out fast. I bought prepared pineapple chunks & sliced papaya instead at a discount due to sell by date. This place is great value, a very sizable bowl of poke of high quality (enough to feed 1.5 persons or 1 very hungry person). I got the salmon poke which was excellent. I got it with sauce but personally it would have been plenty delicious (and a little less salty) without it. Market is very clean, reminds me of a Sprouts but way nicer. The store is clean and well organized and lots of items to choose from. Visiting from Oahu I was very surprised at how much more the items in the store compared in price. Pricing was more than double compared to Honolulu. But everything no mater were you go it higher in price. It is part of the Foodland chain that we have on Oahu. read more

I happened to be staying in Princeville for a few days and stopped by this market in Kilauea to grab some dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect as it said "market + cafe", but it was exactly just that... a full-service grocery store with a café attached to it that serves coffee, beer, wine, as well as fresh prepared foods and made-to-order specialties for lunch and dinner! Their lunch/dinner menu had a little bit of everything on there - from appetizers, salads and pizzas to local plate lunches, burgers, sandwiches and even desserts! I decided to try their Pulehu Short Ribs for dinner, which is described as: Pulehu Seasoned, Chimichurri & Pickled Onions for $20.99. I'm very picky when it comes to pulehu and I must say that for a market/deli cafe, they nailed it! The short ribs were so flavorful and it was a very generous portion! It also came with rice and mac salad, because as you know that's a given when it comes to local dishes! I washed my meal down with a local beer, and was happy to see that all 4 of their draft beers were from local breweries. The service here was spectacular. It was basically one guy running the show, and he was super friendly to both the regular customers and the newbies like me. They had plenty of inside seating available, so you can enjoy your meal there. I can't comment on the grocery section as I didn't purchase anything there, but they seemed to have a lot of gourmet type of items. If you're on the north shore in Kauai, it's definitely worth checking out! read more

Looking for something to eat after going holoholo and hitting up the Lighthouse for a quick peak. Settled here since Hubs wanted pizza. I got the pulehu shortribs. Little sweet for my taste. Liked the pickled veggies. Overall pretty yum. I wasn't feeling well so didn't eat much at the time, but pounded later! Hubs got the meat pizza. Was okay. Baby like the crust so she was happy. Nice and peaceful. Good to just enjoy a quiet lunch. Able to go to the market side to grab flowers for graveyard ... but didn't have any Pringles (had a non-Pringles brand)... a must have to leave for the grandparents grave. Restroom at little gross... but lots of people in and out of the single stall. read more

We came here a little bit after noon earlier this week and many of the poke selections were limited. Even so, we both enjoyed our poke bowls w delicious fresh ahi. Before leaving the island, we made time to stop in earlier in the day to catch the full poke selections. This time we enjoyed a full array of sides to accompany our bowl and six or so poke options. Again, the server generously adorned our bowls w over half a pound of poke for a reasonable price of $15ish. We also like their outside seating. Great spot! read more

10/19/22 Before heading to our condo, we needed salad dressing for the organic greens I purchased. I figured this place would have some, in packets, not a whole bottle. Yelp listed it closes at 7 pm but as I walked in at 5:53, the employee at the door (I thought he was there to welcome customers lol) said they're closing in 7 minutes. So I inquired where the salad dressings are & headed that way as I started snapping photos. Found it, granted, it's just two selections, blue cheese and Caesar salad dressing in packets at 99 cents each. Employees wore masks (I think they're the only ones who wore any this entire visit, who are workers) and are friendly. It's a small market but everything looked neat & cleanly organized, produce/products are fresh looking. It looks like a Sprouts or Wholefoods but smaller scale. Perhaps next time I'll check out their cafe. read more

We bought the Italian bistro box and the arugula pesto was SO yummy. 2. The deli!!! I loved my poke bowl and at such a great price. Add garlic as a topping! 3. Kubano sandwich. This review is for the food area and partially for groceries. My family ordered the meals with short rib and they were satisfied with the meal. Short ribs were on the fatty side and my family in general prefers more lean meats but it still tasted good. Great and friendly service. Poke is ordered in the poke area. I've noticed that freshest poke that i have tried are usually from markets. This place has fresh poke. It was delicious. We just bought fish cake and the price was very similar to the usualy price on mainland so it was decent. We got it to make our microwavable food more fancy (like how people had an egg to instant noodles). Also very nice place to enjoy the AC. It is nice and cool in there. read more

This is solely a review of the market section, as we did not visit the cafe side. We stopped by here before hitting up the Fish Market across the way for some drinks and snacks. The interior was nicely air conditioned, which was quite a welcome relief from the sweltering heat outside. The interior is clean, and shelves stocked and well-maintained. However, their overall selection is much more limited due to their small size. And prices are on the much higher end, as expected with a smaller boutique market in Kauai. Our main complaint however was that they only staffed 1 associate at the register when we were checking out. Despite a massive line queuing up, no one bothered to open another register. There were several staff members that came around to the registers to grab stuff while we were waiting, but noone offered to open another till. In fact at several points, the cashier needed a price check. So she actually left the register herself to check rather than call a floor staff. In total, it took us over 30mins just to check-out. After leaving, my wife wanted some fruits that she forgot to grab. But after taking one look at the still-existing long line, we thought better of it. They have a security guard up front, but the poor guy was parked outside the store in the sweltering heat, rather than inside. read more

The people are nice Nd helpful. Parking can get slightly crowded during lunch hours. I would definitely come back here when I visit this island again. read more

It's in a nice shopping center with some cute shops, coffee shop, and Kauai juice co. The market is bright, airy, not overpacked, and as one would expect a little pricey. They have all the things including a little of everything for routine grocery, booze, even household staples like health and paper goods. Not the broadest range of beers and drinks in the cold case but enough to get what you need for sure. They have a wine and spirits section in the front of the market. The cafe was delicious! Not really any gluten free specific options but that's ok. I somehow managed to make it through a delicious pork fried rice with fried egg breakfast. read more

The Cafe's fish sandwich is one of the better and bigger meals that was at a reasonable price that you can get on the north side of Kauai. It was a rather big sandwich with good amount of avocado, and the fries were really fresh. As for groceries, this market was pricier than nearby Foodland in Princeville for similar items. Would never have expected the best poke I'd have would be in a grocery market! Kilauea Market/Cafe Poke was amazing, and I'm super happy I got a chance to try it here. The marketplace itself is also a very nice cute shopping center. Has a lot of nice groceries, snacks, and minor gifts since we're around the holidays. The Poke has a bunch of different options, we tried both the salmon and ahi tuna. Pretty fair price as far as poke goes, each bowl cost around $12-14, the Salmon was around $12 while the Ahi Tuna was around $14. These bowls are packed with poke and rice and will fill you up, definitely worth the money. The cost of everything around Hawaii is known for being a little pricey so was surprised they cost under $15. Customization: They offer a super wide variety of add-ons to your poke. Got the seaweed salad, scallions, rice, garlic flakes, seaweed flakes, and cucumbers on both bowls. You can ask for an extra sauce drizzle but the fish was seasoned already so well that I don't think it was necessary. Overall the poke was great, would definitely suggest to any poke lovers in the area who want something quick, casual, and that doesn't hit the wallet too hard. Would suggest either, they were both amazing. BEWARE! The hurricane salmon is marinated in a rich soy wasabi broth and you could really feel the wasabi. read more

Clean and modern supermarket, we were very happy to have stopped by this place for food. They checked our temperature before getting a seat at the tables. The area was only limited to people who ordered food, so it was really clean and quiet. We ordered poke and a fungi pizza. The poke was so fresh and flavorful! Pizza was crispy and cheesy. Service was great and it seemed like there is a bar area which is cool. The supermarket was well organised and not packed with people like food land. The line at foodland was crazy long, but over here there was no wait. Prices are slightly higher than foodland, but I totally would pay a little more to not have to wait in line for really long or try to navigate through packed aisles. We'll be back! read more

Genuinely the most and creepiest surveillance from employees I've ever experienced in a supermarket, and I'm from San Francisco... Employees watch your every move for shoplifting. I was looking at popsicles and an employee came and stared me down. Also, my partner came in with food they bought across the street, and was asked by the cashier if they paid for it, despite it having completely different labeling. So bizarre. BEST poke near Hanelai and Princeville. Then market has a fresh station where for $15-18 you get a choice of different POKE with garnish and rice and it is fresh. I am obsessed with POKE and fish when in Hawaii. The cafe they have is also good and have outdoor tables. The market is $$ for groceries- no deals here. Think WHOLE FOODS or GELSONS prices but their takeout and cafe is awesome. I went three times for the poke and ate at my condo over the ocean. This is a super nice grocery with lots of healthier products. We stopped here to pick up few things like coconut yogurt, fruits and poki. Their poki was one of the best one that I had tried in Kuai at very reasonable price. They also have a cafe area but it was closed when we were there. They also sell some local candles, small gifts, and lots of wines. It was super clean and well stoked and organized. Great little place for a quick bite. Small cafe attached to the market. The Kauai moco was decent. The veggie taro burger was probably the best thing I tried there. The regular cheeseburger was pretty good. I didn't get to try the mahi mahi fish and chips because my son devoured it before I could get a bite. My sister liked their croissant sandwich and the Belgian waffle was also pretty solid. I also got an order of malasadas: lilikoi and guava and they were both very tasty. We were looking for a place to eat after snorkling at Anini Beach. Although we didn't buy anything from the this market, the food in the cafe were delicious. My wife and I shared the Lighthouse burger and Fish and Chips with sweet potato fries. The kids ordered a Margherita Pizza and Crispy Fish Sandwich. Overall, all the foods we ordered were delicious.
