The 2014 Ford Focus with 18,329 miles was a vehicle I had inherited from my Uncle. It drives well & is comfortable. So I've kept it for in town driving. Suddenly one day recently it became possessed by demons. Surely that could be the only reason for such bizarre behavior. After a nervous drive to a station that could read the error codes, I learned that the problem was either the Transmission Control Computer Module or the Transmission. Knowing this was a common issue for the 2011-2015 generation of this model, I began with Ford. My messaging with Ford Customer Relations was not positive. After numerous exchanges I was told no warranty & to take the vehicle to my dealer. So I was prepared for a battle with Ford over this extraordinarily low mileage vehicle, The first person I reached by phone at Priority was very pleasant, understanding & promised to have Amanda contact me as soon as she was between customers. Amanda called in a prompt manner. She told me to bring the car in for an 8am appointment the following day. When I arrived I was told that because the "Check Engine" light went off after the station read the codes, we would have to wait until it came on again. Amanda told that me when this happened to bring the car right in with no appointment needed. My son was visiting and took the car out on a drive around town. The demons took charge of the vehicle again while on I-264. He made it to Priority & left the car with keys in the after hours box. And I........ I awaited bad news on Monday morning. This morning I received a call from Amanda that my vehicle was done. It was the Transmission Control Computer Module. Ford covered it. I could have kissed her feet when I heard that. What had begun a bad experience with Ford Customer Relations ended with a very positive experience. Thank you Priority and especially Amanda.

We build engines, body work, electrical, welding/frame work, engine swaps, transmission rebuilds, suspensions swaps. We know our way around vehicles and only go to places for inspections as that is legally required. He brought his vehicle here to have an inspection. We measured the thickness of the rotors and inspected the pads before he brought it down. Used a micrometer to make sure we were within thickness standards for the rotors. What comes back during the inspection? Rotors and pads need to be replaced...1600 bucks, lady down there gets into a yelling match with my dad about the rotors because he calls them out about lying. She even said they replace rotors when they do brakes as a given, regardless of the status of the rotors. Would not tell us why besides that it was policy...that is illegal. They are replacing parts that don't necessarily need to be replaced. Rotors only need to replaced if they are grooved, thin or cracked. Brakes had plenty of pad on them, we measured those too... I would not recommend going here they as they trying to replace parts that don't need to be replaced. Per state law we are within minimum standards needed to pass an inspection but somehow needed brakes...I wouldn't trust them with my kids Tonka truck.

They sold my son a Toyota Tundra for $15K and within an hour of leaving the lot ALL the dash lights came on. They allowed him to bring it back for their "Mechanic" to repair and basically claimed to have fixed the issue, but refused to provide any paperwork showing what was done (AKA they reset the codes). Long story short the lights came back on the dash and when my son took it to Toyota he was informed that the Transmission needed to be replaced at a price point of $7K amongst other issues including an Exhaust Leak and extensive rust that we couldn't see. Surfside's Sales Rep and Owner refused to accept any responsibility. Play by play so you can decide if this is a Company you want to do business with: Purchased an 07 Toyota Tundra for $15,500 on 2.24.24 at 10:30AM within hours of leaving dealership Numerous dash lights popped up, Contacted Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership via text and sent Video of the Dash Lights and he said it sounds like a sensor so run the codes and they will fix it. 2.24.24 at 6:58PM Sent Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership the printout from Auto Zone indicating the Transmission Assembly & Torque Converter would need to be replaced. 2.25.24 Dealership was closed so on 2.26.24 Dropped off truck to Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership for dash lights repair - Have Video of him saying they would take care of the issue (to large to upload) 2.28.24 Contacted Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership via text to check on status and he stated the truck will be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon. It had a stability sensor and transmission cooling sensor causing the dash lights. 2.29.24 Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership text to say the truck is ready to be picked up and is operating perfectly 3.10.24 Contacted Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership via text to let him know the dash lights were back on and he said the sensor wire must have a short and there is nothing wrong with the transmission for sure, but he will schedule another appointment for the truck to be dropped off. After getting the run around on another appointment, dropped truck off to Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership on 3.15.24. On 3.21.24 the truck was still sitting in their parking lot so I called and was told it would be looked at tomorrow 3.22.24. 3.23.24 Kevin with Surfside Auto Dealership text to say the truck is back at their dealership, but the dash light is still flashing. There is no short that he can find or sensor issues. He then stated via text "The Owners have said that there is nothing we can do and it was fine when test driven and purchased." 3.26.24 Dropped the truck off to Toyota Dealership for a proper Diagnosis - Toyota Mechanic stated Transmission needs to be replaced (see video and Toyota Diagnosis paperwork uploaded to box.com) Transmission replacement Quote $7,320.35 Also, asked Kevin if the fan blower for AC that was listed on the paperwork when truck was purchased was in an and he stated it was on backorder - NEVER HEARD ANOTHER WORD!!
