I had a very frustrating experience with the service department at Priority Ford Norfolk. On February 23rd at 1:00 PM I dropped off my 2020 Ford Explorer for a seatbelt recall. This vehicle was purchased from this dealership less than two years ago. At around 3:00 PM that same day I received a text from my service advisor, Kevin, saying I could text him anytime during my service visit for updates. The following morning (Feb 24 at 10:30AM) I asked for a status update and was told the vehicle had not yet gone into the shop. From February 25th through February 27th I sent multiple texts and left voicemails but received no response. I eventually had to call the dealership and get transferred to the service department just to speak with someone. I was told my vehicle was "next" to go into service. After that I could not reach anyone again and waited through the entire weekend without updates. I finally received a message Monday morning (March 2nd) saying the vehicle would be looked at and that a technician had started working on it. My vehicle sat at the dealership for an entire week after the scheduled appointment before even being brought into the shop. During this time I had to rent a vehicle out of pocket for seven days which cost me about $566. I had to return the rental after 7 days because it just became too expensive.  I  went four additional days without a vehicle. I asked the service manager if the dealership would supply me with a loaner vehicle and was simply told "no."  I then asked if they would reimburse me for a rental and again was told "no."   My Explorer was not ready for pickup until Friday, March 6th. Being without a vehicle for nearly two weeks because of a recall repair, while paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket and receiving very little communication, was extremely frustrating and not the level of service I expected from the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. Since this was a manufacturer recall and the vehicle sat for about a week before even entering service, I will likely be sharing this experience in the manufacturer service survey as well. read more

I'm not one to give bad reviews because I understand we're all human but customer service rep Shaun really did me dirty. My scheduled appointment was 1230om Saturday. At drop off he told me he'll call me when it was ready for pick up. I waited for a call all afternoon I called the office twice no answer. I checked google business hrs they close at 7pm, so why i get up there at 510 and they closed and my vehicle is stuck till Monday . Now it's Monday morning and I'm here to pick up my vehicle and nobody knows my vehicle is done. My paperwork is sitting somewhere outside and hasn't been processed so the new shift didn't know there was a vehicle outside ready for pickup. Whoever is running this show needs to do better or Shaun needs to go back to training idk. I asked for the cheapest oil change so why he put the package on my car that cost me $188!? Priority has really stepped up their service. I just picked up my car after what was an unexpected very positive experience. The 2014 Ford Focus with 18,329 miles was a vehicle I had inherited from my Uncle. It drives well & is comfortable. So I've kept it for in town driving. Suddenly one day recently it became possessed by demons. Surely that could be the only reason for such bizarre behavior. After a nervous drive to a station that could read the error codes, I learned that the problem was either the Transmission Control Computer Module or the Transmission. Knowing this was a common issue for the 2011-2015 generation of this model, I began with Ford. My messaging with Ford Customer Relations was not positive. After numerous exchanges I was told no warranty & to take the vehicle to my dealer. So I was prepared for a battle with Ford over this extraordinarily low mileage vehicle, The first person I reached by phone at Priority was very pleasant, understanding & promised to have Amanda contact me as soon as she was between customers. Amanda called in a prompt manner. She told me to bring the car in for an 8am appointment the following day. When I arrived I was told that because the "Check Engine" light went off after the station read the codes, we would have to wait until it came on again. Amanda told that me when this happened to bring the car right in with no appointment needed. My son was visiting and took the car out on a drive around town. The demons took charge of the vehicle again while on I-264. He made it to Priority & left the car with keys in the after hours box. And I........ I awaited bad news on Monday morning. This morning I received a call from Amanda that my vehicle was done. It was the Transmission Control Computer Module. Ford covered it. I could have kissed her feet when I heard that. What had begun a bad experience with Ford Customer Relations ended with a very positive experience. Thank you Priority and especially Amanda. read more

I am very disappointed with the service I received at Priority Ford. I dropped my car off at 10:00 AM for a simple oil change, and it ended up taking over five hours to complete. Throughout that entire time, I couldn't get any updates. I tried reaching out to Michael for information, but he would not text me back or communicate at all about how long the service was going to take. A basic oil change should not require that much time, and the complete lack of communication made the experience even more frustrating. Customers deserve timely updates and someone who is willing to respond when they have questions about their vehicle. I hope Priority Ford improves their communication and customer service, because this experience was unacceptable and I will never be coming back to this establishment it's quite clear y'all care more about slacking off then taking care of your customers read more

I am writing this review in hopes of getting a response from dealership management regarding a very frustrating and costly experience. On March 2, I had my vehicle towed in due to a no-start issue. My assigned service advisor, Kevin Brink, informed me it would take a few days to diagnose, which I understood. However, communication quickly became an issue. I stopped by on March 4 and was assisted by Amanda, who provided me with a printed estimate and explained that Kevin would follow up. He did not contact me until two days later, only to repeat the same information--without ever clearly stating that approval was needed to begin repairs. This delay could have easily been avoided. I approved the work, totaling $5,853.30, and picked up my vehicle on March 9. Just four days later, the car failed to start again. After spending nearly $6,000, this was extremely concerning. I reached out requesting assistance with towing given the recent repairs, but the response was delayed and unhelpful. I ultimately paid for towing out of pocket to avoid further delays. Shortly after, I was informed that the battery and Audio Control Module (ACM) needed replacement at an additional cost of $763.67. This raises serious concerns about the thoroughness of the original diagnosis and repair. After such a significant repair bill, it is reasonable to expect that critical components like the battery would have been properly inspected. When I attempted to address these concerns, Kevin Brink handled the situation unprofessionally and ended the call abruptly. At this point, I am requesting: * A clear explanation as to why these issues were not identified during the initial repair * Reimbursement or goodwill assistance for the additional repairs and towing expenses * A review of the customer service experience I received I would appreciate being contacted by dealership management to resolve this matter. Based on the amount spent and the experience so far, I believe this request is more than reasonable. If you choose to come here, I would strongly recommend being cautious with Service Advisor Kevin Brink. Unfortunately, my experience with him was very disappointing due to poor communication and lack of professionalism. On the other hand, Amanda was polite, attentive, and handled the situation with care. After I explained what had happened, she apologized and even provided her business card in case I needed further assistance, which I truly appreciated. I went for inspection and they cut my CV Axle boot and caused grease to fly all over and underneath my car, then quoted me 3k services to repair what was NOT BROKEN. PS, they just commented under this post. Yes my CV axle and other stuff was brought up, but nothing was wrong untill after I picked it up. Beware! The service department will mislead and drag you along for days, maybe even weeks without a notification. On more than one occasion I dropped my vehicle off for a service. They give you the warm and fuzzy that your vehicle will be done in just a few days, in reality it won't. They leave you hanging, stating they will call you when ready. Days go by without a call or message no matter how many messages you leave. You'll have to show up in person to get another disappointing response. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. I would absolutely not recommend taking your vehicle to Priority Ford for service. Every time I went in I was treated like an inconvenience and waited upwards of an hour each time. From them trying to find my keys & paperwork, to not communicating when service has been complete, and not completing quotes for several days to the point I just took my car back even though it wasn't fully repaired. I went in for a TCM (transmission control module) and once they replaced they took it on a test drive and said my car stopped driving. Then said I need a $5000+ repair to replace my clutches. Even though they said it won't drive, I drove it off the lot to AutoZone and ran the codes. Only thing popping up was TCM issues even though they just replaced it! So they either never cleared the code or didn't fix it correctly. Steer clear of Priority Ford! I literally can find one positive thing to say, except that they did offer a military discount that took off $100 from the $1350 repair. read more

This Priority Ford dealership on 3420 N. Military Hwy Norffolk is terrible with unprofessional staff. The sales person Naomi Wright asked that I complete an application which I did; indicated that the application will be approved in a matter of minutes. The application was submitted at 1:22 pm on 2/5/26 and life lock immediately sent me an alert when my credit was checked. My daughter notified Naomi that the application was submitted; Naomi advised the application will be reviewed shortly. Naomi never called back, will not answer the phone on 2/5/26 and on 2/6/26. When my daughter was able to finally make contact Naomi advised that the car was sold at 3:45 pm on 2/5/26 and that the application was not approved until 6:00pm that is a big lie, misrepresentation of the truth. I will not recommend this dealership if this is the way they treat their customers. read more

In 2020 I purchased my Ford Explorer from Priority Ford. One of their offers was to provide a state inspection at no cost. Each time that I need to have my car inspected I receive the same response in that they will not allow you to bring the car in and allow you to wait on the vehicle to be inspected. The dealer offers to provide a service called Quick Lane but still will not accommodate the customer when the need arises to obtain a state inspection. I only wish they would assist their customer by acknowledging their customer's needs. read more

Update, its been three months since my vehicle purchase at Priority Ford in VA, After a dozen calls to Priority Ford, Virginia DMV, Lithia Auto & Driveway finance, the title was release to NJ on Jan 24th and I was able to get the title and registration work completed Now they are still working on the refund of the Warranty that was added to my contract. Its been 6 weeks since we completed the requested paperwork. After another hour on the phone yesterday, Lithia/Driveway is now pursuing the cancellation of the warranty with Priority Ford. read more

This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership. I had an appointment on Thursday, January 9, at 9:15 AM for an open recall on my power steering component. During the visit, they told me I needed two new front tires and an alignment, which I decided to hold off on. They also recommended an oil change, which I declined because I had already scheduled it elsewhere for the following week. A few days later, my car started leaking oil in my driveway, something that was never an issue before. I took my car to Priority Ford in Norfolk, where they claimed the leak was just a coincidence because my car is old. This is extremely hard to believe, especially since the dealership failed to address the oil change, which should've been a red flag. When I spoke with Katelyn Gregory and her manager, Fred Phillips, I was met with complete indifference. Fred Phillips was entirely nonchalant and showed no interest in resolving the issue. He outright refused to take any accountability, saying he wouldn't "take the blame" for what happened. When I asked if he was in the garage watching his technicians work on my car, he shrugged it off and said he trusts them. Well, of course, that's the easiest thing to say when you're not taking any responsibility. What's worse, the entire experience felt like I was being dismissed at every turn. I've never had these kinds of issues when I took my vehicle to the Ford branch in Greenbriar-Chesapeake, and now I'm left with an oil leak and a dealer who couldn't care less. It's clear they're more interested in making a sale than actually fixing problems. We have never spent so much money and been so very disappointed. Long story short: Spent a bunch of money on a truck we could not tow with even after explicitly asking, they sold a truck with bad parts, not even two weeks later it broke down, refused to fix or even assist with cost once letting them know, and are putting mine and my babies life in jeopardy because of the insane amount of stress we are under.. Mid October my husband saw a 2018 F250. We called the dealership and they were very kind when they agreed to hold it about two weeks for us to get in town. When we landed the salesman was very helpful and picked me up while my husband got our other car. I personally talked to the salesman for about 30 minutes until my husband got to the dealership, one very specific point I asked was about the hitch for the truck, the receiver looked big so I asked if it was a common hitch that we could get anywhere. He replied oh yeah you can go to tractor supply or any auto part store to pick one up. I said oh good, we need to tow with it this evening. ( this is very important for later) That is the extent of helpfulness of the dealership. We had previously communicated that we had a very long drive home and needed to be in and out. We didn't need financing or anything done so it should have been very quick. We sat there for over three hours, no idea why bc the truck was ready and we were ready to buy it. Originally the salesman told us we could pay 5k per card, three hours later we find out we could only pay 5k in total, the issue with this is that earlier we had to call our bank to make sure they authorized the amount since it was such a large amount. This meant we had to call the bank back, which again is more wasting our time. Finally got everything paid and I went to uhual to start the process of getting the trailer the truck would tow, only to find out NO ONE in a 45 minute radius sells them, I called the dealership and they refused to help and told us that it was not their fault. I agree it's not their responsibility to provide one, but it is there responsibility to not lie when asked a direct question about the hitch. We ended up being out the uhual rental, 2 more hours as they told us a bunch of places to go to try and find it, and the gas of the car we were going to tow. I missed my OB appointment we had made weeks in advance because of the lies and inability to work efficiently. They said they would call back to get it resolved and nothing. Two weeks later the truck throws a code, the fuel system is completely gone. We took it to a ford dealership where we live and they confirmed the fuel system had to be replaced $19k and from the look of it, this has been a problem for a while( longer than we have owned it) and they believe the dealership knew because they test all their used cars before selling for this exact issues. Spoke to Andy, he refused to take accountability for the truck problems and told us if we go it to them they would credit us 2,500, they know that it will be half that to ship it to them since, new flash, we can't drive it and then trying to get it back with only one car. We dropped it off at a ford dealership and Andy refuses to work with that dealership to make it right. So here we are, no vehicle that we can drive, we are out SO much money because of this dealership, and they refuse to take accountability or just help with the cost of these items. I want to emphasize that they were very kind and helpful at the beginning, but after about 30 minutes the whole experience went bad. This has gotten so bad that I have had to be referred to a high risk OBGYN due to the stress of the situation my OB is concerned about our health. read more

Overall, I've had great experience with this for dealership from purchase to routine servicing. When purchasing my car, I thought the staff was very helpful and provided plenty of information regarding the potential purchase. Additionally, I did not feel any pressure at any point during the process. With one exception, servicing the vehicle has been pretty fast (about a couple of hours). Unfortunately, during one visit, an appointment that was supposed to take 2 hours ended up taking close to 4.5 hours. While I understand there can be some delays with maintenance, I think it would have been great if the someone sent a text regarding the delay because I made plans based on the time they said the work would be completed. read more

One of the reasons I bought my Ford F-150 at Priority Ford because I thought Priority meant excellent service. I owned two Hondas over 15 years purchased from Priority Honda and there service and customer service was excellent, every time, for 15 years. Last month I brought my F150 to Priority for the first state inspection. I called ahead and was told to bring it in early to make sure I could get it done same day. Came in around 9am and they said they were booking for tomorrow at that point. Service tech told me that they don't regulate the amount of state inspectors and that everyone waits more than a day. So I take my F150 to Priority Honda that same day, sit in their movie theater, and it takes them maybe an hour to have it done. May 26th I book an appointment to take care of a recall for a potential brake light flicker which was scheduled for July 14th, 10:00 am. Drop it off at 1000 am and the service advisor tells me it may not be completed until tomorrow. 5:00 pm comes around, I use their service text messaging to request an update. No response that day they close at 7:00 pm. Noon the following day still no update so I send another message asking for an update. I get a reply, "no update as of yet". 1255 pm and 2:28 pm I text to ask for an estimated time of completion. No response. I call around 4:30 pm I'm told that I have a different service advisor but I'm transferred and it goes to voicemail. Left a message and never got a call back. I finally get a text that they will try to have it completed tomorrow. So, now my truck is there Thursday and Friday. I call Saturday to tell them I'm on my way to pick it up completed or not. I meet with the service advisor, who says she was not my service advisor, and takes no responsibility. The shop foreman is there and tells me my service advisor handed him my ticket yesterday on Friday. The advisor that is present asks the foreman if they'd be able to complete it today and he replied he didn't know and they asked if I wanted to leave it. I opted to take it home because I work on Sunday. The service advisor present says that she will escalate this to the service manager on Monday. Let's see if I get a response. I doubt it but I will update my post. I also plan to take this up to Ford Motor Company. I hope Beach Ford can help me out with my recall. Priorities for life does not equal good service for life. Got a text right after drop off from my service manager, Jonathan, saying to text with questions or for status. I thought that's cool, it'll be easy to get updates. Two hours later, I sent a text for pricing (they were supposed to call me with estimates) -- no response. I tried calling an hour later, never got an answer, only the automated service saying they were assisting other customers. Tried again 90 minutes later, finally got through but the guy was not helpful. Just said they were very busy and my car wasn't ready. So I went to get it, tired of waiting. We joined the Priority family 3 years ago by purchasing a Honda Odyssey in Chesapeake. We've taken advantage of Priorities for life during that time but have driven out to Battlefield, until today. Same privileges and friendly service just closer to home. No appointments for state inspections. They have a quick lane and drop off service with fairly long hours. Let's face it, there's no fun month to have your car inspected. I learned the hard way that December is busier than other months I've dealt with. Came in at 10am and was told whether I dropped off or waited, it wouldn't be the 5th car taken the next day. Problem is we had a very important family engagement that evening in Virginia Beach. Upon learning this, the General Manager, Mr. Robert Chen, went the extra mile! He asked me to return at close and kindly provided a loaner vehicle for us to use at a steal of a price. It actually fit our family of 6. I found it refreshing that Mr. Chen sits out in the open at the main center desk, front and center. That level of customer connection isn't seen every day! Ken called us at 730am the next morning letting us know our van passed inspection and was ready for pickup. I was hoping it would have been run through their courtesy car wash but, after the cheap loaner, I wasn't complaining! read more

Our first experience was completely HORRIBLE!! We had our truck for almost 6 months, only made 3 payments and put just 3K miles on it. So it didn't make since that we have/had to get a New Engine put in and Whatever stupid warranty that we got when purchasing the vehicle SUCKS cuz it didn't cover anything for the short time we had it. They had our truck for 2 whole Months, plus not very good at communicating, always call to get some info and we had to talk to there machine and pray that they would call back Finally we get our vehicle back and find Marijuana on the floor in the back, Where My Kids Sit!!!!They did take the truck and fully cleaned the inside and outside which I appreciated cuz I definitely didn't want to find any other surprises. On January 26, 2022, I went to Priority Ford on North Military Highway in Norfolk, VA. I was there to complete the paperwork for the purchase of my 2021 Ford Edge SEL. After 3 to 4 hours, I was in a great deal of pain due to health problems and had a terrible headache. It was then that I was told about the Extended Warranty, the Maintenance Contract, and the Undercoating. I explicitly stated that I did NOT want the Extended Warranty or the Maintenance Contract. The discussion continued with the advantages of both programs. My hands began shaking, I had trouble talking, and I was crying. The 2 women said that the Extended Warranty and Maintenance Contract would not be on the final paperwork. When the paperwork was presented, I was careless and decided not to read the entire contract. I signed where I was told to sign and initialed where I was told to initial. All I wanted was to get out of there, go home, and take medication for my pain. I was told by the 2 women and the saleswoman that everything was just the way I wanted it. On February 2, 2022, I took the Edge in to have the Undercoating applied. I showed the saleswoman and one of the finance women that the Extended Warranty ($1970) and Maintenance contract ($900) had, in fact, been added back in along with $86.10 in taxes. I was assured I would receive a refund in 8 to 10 weeks. At 9 weeks I began calling. On May 25, 2022, 16 weeks after February 2, a refund was taken to the bank that is handling the loan. When I checked my account, I discovered that the refund was $292.13 less than it should have been. On May 27, 2022, I called one of the finance women. She had a senior manager join us on the call. He told me that $206.03 would be refunded to me. However, since I had cancelled the 2 items, the tax amount would not be refunded. I became upset. I raised my voice. I told him that I didn't cancel, I told them to remove unwanted items that shouldn't have been included. He maintained that since I had signed everything, that the tax amount would not be refunded. I said, "So because someone at Priority Ford made a mistake, I will have to pay $86.10 for their mistake." I received the standard corporate reply of, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but that is the case." I told them I could get a lawyer, but it would do no good because they have more money than I do. It would probably cost me more than the tax if I did so. I therefore assured them that no lawyers would be involved. I have learned a lesson the hard way and it has cost me $86.10. read more

Brought my car for oil change tire rotation. Look at the rims and my rims are dirty and there want even one glove or finger print. This was the first sign that the tires were NOT rotated. Talk to the service manager told what happened and he assured me that it was done showed him were the finger prints left behind just with a light touch. So now they had to take my truck back in do the actual oil change and tire rotation. Do not trust Ford because. Manger had to watch them do the job. I have been going here since buying my 2023 Maverick for recalls, taillight issues, inspection and my first oil change. I have NEVER HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE!! I drop my truck off the night before for an early appointment on the next day every time. This service department doesn't communicate at all. After my truck being there all day, it always takes ALL DAY to do something that should only take a couple of hours. I always have to call to check the status because no one calls to let me know anything. Today my appointment was at 8am, I left my truck there last night. I was only getting a recall fixed that was supposed to take about 15 minutes ( my father in law has the same truck and had the same recall fixed and this is the timing he was told, he got his fixed with no issues) After calling today at 3:30pm I was told that a message was given to "Johnathon " to call me and let me know what was going on and if my truck was going to be ready. Needless to say nobody called me so at 5:30pm I called back and was told that my truck was ready but the service department closes at 6pm. I'm in Chesapeake, no way that's happening by 6pm. I am now going to pick up my keys at the reception desk and get my truck because they are now closed. I do wish I had another place to take my truck, these people are so terrible at communicating, they are slow with the services they do and all they have are excuses instead of solutions. Worst experience. I made an appointment for 2pm and as soon as I arrived they said it would be two hours until my car was taken back for a routine oil change and tire rotation. When I asked the lady at the desk why, she said "it's always like that". Will NEVER go here again. read more

I have been calling for weeks, only to end up being "helped" by the "service rep" who can't actually give me any real info. Everytime I'm told I'll be called back ASAP. EVERY TIME I DON'T GET A CALL. NO VOICEMAIL. NOT EVEN AN EMAIL. They don't know how to answer a phone much less call you back. Y'all really need to get it together over there. Went to service my suv for a recall. I arrived at 8 am and I thought Ibwas going to be there all day, but At 10 am they let me know my vehicle was ready to go. They upgraded what they needed to do for my back up camera recall. Great service and friendly people!!!! read more

I rarely write reviews. I'm hoping to help someone else avoid a hassle. I scheduled an oil change on the Priority Ford website. I dropped off the vehicle 45 minutes early vs my original plan to wait while the service was completed. The truck was dropped off at 10:30am for an 11:15am service appointment. I needed the truck back, so at 2:45pm I arrived at Priority Ford in Norfolk to find nothing had been done regarding servicing my truck. While the service representative Ricco was unable to produce an apology, the service manager Lauren explained it had been "one of those days" and gave me a heartfelt shrug. Priority had the truck 3 hours and 30 minutes. That does not include the 45 minutes before the scheduled appointment. I can't imagine having spent thousands of dollars on a vehicle at Priority to get the "Priorities for Life" then have this kind of an experience. I had actually been considering the purchase of a Toyota from one of their sister dealerships. I feel like this experience was serendipitous to an extent. I would urge anyone considering this dealership to look elsewhere. All this from them dropping the ball on an oil change? You bet! read more
