I think this may have had a different name prior. This was not an expected death. We knew that our loved one had indicated that cremation would be their request which made one of the choices faced by family somewhat comforting. If that can even be possible. Telephonic contact at 6am was prompt and professional. Staff during the funeral was kind and helpful. As one will experience the cost of a funeral is shocking. We chose a short viewing on a Sunday which everyone was pleased with: Family 12-1pm and open viewing 1-4pm. A short wake at Fern Hill Country Club(see review). Let me leave some information here that you will not see in the cremation casket photo. **We chose the Kenzie I think it is called. The cremation casket that is a steel blue in color that opens like a traditional casket but covered in a Demask fabric. A simple cross placed inside. We feared the casket would be unsightly ,however, it was actually very nice!!! We asked for the floral spray to be just slightly larger to cover the portion of the casket that is over the lower body(Van Maele Florest Clinton Township Michigan, see review). It was perfect and even if it had not been slightly larger it would have been fine. You can also use a blanket with the persons fav sports team draped over the area with or without flowers? Two very large sized poinsettias on each side. A few lanterns with battery operated candles, and what a beautiful setting. Listen to this florist! This is big business let's face it. Prices are high but this florist will do for you what they can and make suggestions to make the viewing beautiful. If you are reading this I am sorry for your loss. I hope that this helps you when thinking about using this casket as a choice? We did not regret any choices we made!

When I told her it shouldn't be overgrown with grass, she stated, "GEESOPETE! We don't have people out here all the time. Kick it with your feet"!

How do you comfort someone who lost their mom at 3 years old and their dad at 16? How do you walk by the graves of 3 other close friends who were killed tragically in a drunk driving accident? They are buried steps away. My emotions are a wreck today. But the cemetery took wonderful care of us and allowed us plenty of time to pay our respects. They were compassionate. In the end that means so much. The cemetery is beautiful as well. And you feel comforted being there. Plenty of benches and ways to sit and spend time reminiscing. Some things will always crush my heart.

It is indeed a beautiful cemetery with well kept grounds, beautiful mausoleum buildings and very nice outdoor crypts. Having family members here in a few different locations, I sometimes drive through and look at the beauty surrounding me with every turn of the roadways. I've stopped and looked at the veteran's section and it also is a sad, but thought provoking place to reflect on the many men and women who fought for our freedom and lost their lives doing so. The bronze statues placed throughout are beautiful to look at because they are truly works of art. I attended the Christmas memorial service that they hold every year, and it was an awesome experience with refreshments and music and a memorial Christmas tree that family members can write messages on ribbons and place them on the tree. The groundskeepers are friendly and helpful. There was a time when I couldn't find a certain burial plot and they took the time to help me find it. All in all, this is one of the most beautiful and scenic cemeteries I've visited.

The chapel is beautiful and well maintained as well. Many of our relatives and my husband's parents are buried there. I did not have a 'hand' in planning any of the funerals, but I did attend them, as well as many unveilings (A Jewish traditon) of headstones. I have no idea of their charges, but they do a great job.

Clover Hill is where my grandparents are buried. I recently attended a funeral for my grandfather at CHPC, and while I wouldn't have chosen to spend my Wednesday afternoon at a cemetery, it was a beautiful few hours that celebrated his 92 years on this earth. The staff were helpful and the grounds are well kept. When my sister's car wouldn't start after the funeral, the staff actually helped her jump it so she could come home to mourn with the rest of the family. I wish I would have taken a picture to share, but that wasn't on my mind on the day of the funeral, but this really is a peaceful place. If you're reading this while dealing with a death in the family, my heart goes out to you. It's worth mentioning that despite the five star review, I hope not to find myself back at CHPC anytime soon, unless of course I head to visit my grandparents there.

By his digging he found the area marker but couldn't find anything else. They came back with a metal detector and after a while, found the headstone several feet down in the ground. Nine years ago My father pre-paid for ALL of his funeral expenses, including Clinton Grove where we…read morehave three generations buried in a family plot. It has always been a wonderful place - excellent staff to work with - communicative - helpful - compassionate. However, staff has changed and not for the better. Upon his death, I was told at the last minute I would need to pay $500 for a Saturday funeral so the cemetery could pay overtime for their employees. The contract we signed was clear that there would be no extra charges - nor were we ever told that we would have to pay any additional fees. Staff was rude, lacked any sense of compassion and tried to negotiate half the fee and still charged me even though I was also there purchasing the plot next to my father for $2000. The day of the funeral, construction machine (like a backhoe) lifted my dad's casket into the vault that was on the little driveway, and then drove over to the grave and lowered him in while the maintenance workers in their bright yellow vests guided it into the grave. It was LOUD, and was more like a construction zone than a solemn funeral. No one could hear the pastor. We didn't know this would be the way it was going to be done until the morning of the funeral. It was the most utmost disrespectful and shocking way to see my father buried - there was no tent, no grassy turf, no solemn lowering of his casket. I was mortified - as was everyone else in attendance. His gravestone (that was already in place before he died), was moved off to the side off its foundation to dig the grave, was never put back in place. It is beyond sad that our loved ones and ancestors are now in a place that has no regard for them, the respect they deserve. I don't trust them anymore - I will continue to make numerous trips from Ohio to make sure my family's plot is well maintained - especially now that my father is there. I hope someone takes notice of the unethical practices of these people running this cemetery and makes some changes. I know my father would be absolutely disgusted at the way this happened.
