Right at School runs organized activities, has counselors that engage with the students and have never just given up trying to help children. If you have a choice, I highly recommend avoiding Christian Care.

Messiah is perfect to a T. When my daughter started school, she had a hard time napping, the teachers rubbed her back, sang her a song, gave a hug. How wonderful! She said she loved how they treated her "with love" and helped transitioning a breeze. Every time I drop her off, I see her excitement and joy to be back there, and that speaks volumes! The teachers provide an "old school" feel, and it was exactly what I was looking for. By old school, I mean it in the best way possible, kind, patient, loving environment; not the sterile robot like environment of many schools nowadays. The activities change throughout the day, kids get to interact with others outside their classroom. I LOVE that they have a huge playground with plenty of safe, fenced area to play and explore. I think I have a super smart kid (as I'm sure all parents think) and Messiah challenges my child. She learns way more than even I thought possible. Not only learning, but building in a child the yearning to want to learn/read more. Super clean facility, healthy lunches, lots of learning mixed with play makes Messiah just an awesome place. During drop off and pick up, the teachers are sitting with the kids and play games/cars/toys with them. This is a huge difference compared to my child's other daycare he went to. He is always getting love from someone! The teachers are incredibly patient, understanding, and compassionate. They work together to keep the children happy and tended to. My son has developed so well and learned so much at this daycare. He has such a good relationship with his teachers and is often excited to see them. Staff will send pictures often, especially during a celebration. Birthdays at daycare are considered special, they set up a little photoshoot for my son to commemorate the moment. They celebrate often and bring in bouncy houses for kids, provide gift bags, and offer age-appropriate opportunities for fun. They also provide breakfast and lunch that are made at the daycare. You often don't know the aide who is taking care of your child as they do not do introductions of the new employees. As another review mentioned, there is a lack of communication at this center. With every room move, we had no formal introduction to the new teacher. No explanation of what to expect in the new classroom. Just pointed in the direction of where the new room is located. There is a monthly email with the "theme" of the curriculum. For example, Oceans, Family, Forests etc. However, do not expect to be told specifically what words, colors, numbers, letters your child is actually working on. We randomly figure out what our son has learned by the new things he says. They just started to add some information like the color and day of the week to the app. This center does not hold any sort of parent/teacher conference or provide any progress updates on your child's development. The app...Do not expect this to be updated throughout the day. Most updates come through after 2/3PM at the end of the day. I have brought up the lack of pictures and updates to management plenty of times but there was no improvement made. For the price point of this daycare, I expected the app to be maintained as promised. Their pricing is in line with Gardner School + KinderCare who also offer an app. I would consider other options if having an app, receiving development progression updates, or overall communication are important to you. The quickest we ever heard from the director was when we sent an email advising we were withdrawing our son. We got a call within 5 minutes. He never asked why we were leaving or if there was anything he could do to keep our son there. His call was to advise a form needed to be filled out...His lack of concern confirmed we made the right choice to switch daycares. To top things off, we were charged today for two weeks of care even though we were told billing would be taken care of correctly. I will say the teachers are caring and would be the only reason to stick around. Ms. Kim in Infant room is the best! Our son adores her. Sandra + Daniela in the Twaddler room are the dynamic duo and have great energy. Ms. Natalie in the Twos room is super sweet. Diana + Sam took great care of our son. When there is open play, we've observed the teachers actively engaged with the kids, helping teach them right from wrong, how to interact with others, etc. They have a lot of patience and genuinely care about everyone. The staff is great about providing updates via the mobile app including daily photos (sometimes multiple group and individual) of the activities, meals/snacks, and nap times. We've felt very welcome here, and we would highly recommend this location.

So I went to the Illinois state accrediting website for daycares to see if any of that was substantiated and there is no record of discipline for any similar sounding incident. I never woke with anyone at the center about the allegations but felt confident based on my own research. So I started my kid there a year ago. All I can say for myself is they have been exceptionally accommodating to any specific requests for my kid. She loves it and I feel confident getting so many pictures and videos throughout the day that my kid is safe, having fun, and learning.
