She was super professional and it was clear she knew what she was doing. (Which makes sense- she's a chiropractor and also has like twenty massage therapy-related certificates hanging in her office.) My massage was more therapy than relaxation, but the atmosphere was still very soothing. She has a great energy about her- you can just tell she's a good person. I met Eugene, we talked about the kind of work he does, and it sounded like it was not dissimilar to shiatsu. I think Eugene integrates a lot of different techniques into his treatment. I have been going to Eugene for a few years now, mostly for treatments related to back pain but his work is holistic. He treats the whole body while addressing the specific issues you have. I just came back today from a treatment for vertigo. It was different to previous treatments I'd gotten - it was kind of mind blowingly excellent. We give it a few days to see how the body responds to the treatment. I usually go for one or two treatments and then feel 'fixed'! Don't be fooled. I saw the $60 for $85 deal and called Christine right away to book an appointment. This intimate little boutique is definitely a hidden gem in town. Right away the place is very clean and inviting. I got a deep tissue massage from Christine and she was very thorough from her questions regarding injuries and allergies to the actual massage experience. I can say that I am super relaxed and my neck is no longer in pain :) I also enjoyed the light scents of her oils because I have a very sensitive nose. I've been coming to this place for a couple of years since it has opened. It has to be one of the best places I've been for a massage. I have persistent lower back muscle spasms that comes and goes periodically. I've been to many ortho docs and physical therapists to no avail. My GP told me to try getting a massage. I've been to many places but this has to be the BEST Place! Since I've been coming here, my spasms have been at bay, so now I come on a weekly basis.
