I came in to inquire about having some PVC conduit delivered for my business. I was told by the guy at the counter that there was currently a shortage due to COVID and he'd have to check to see if he could sell me how much I was asking for (a couple thousand feet, which Is typical for what we use in a week). When he returned after checking with Jim in the back, he apologized and told me that he couldn't sell me ANY conduit. I asked why he couldn't sell me ANY at all and he told me that Jim told him that he has to save it all for his "good customers". Meanwhile, I was parked in front of pallets of PVC conduit out front in parking the lot. So, I asked to speak to Jim directly, figuring perhaps I could convince him to at least sell me some to get me by. He came up front and was very arrogant with me right off the bat, as if I had the nerve to even question him about it. Jim told me that he wasn't going to sell to me because "it's a commodity" and he has to "save it for his 'GOOD' customers". Jim then advised me that he was "refusing my order" and then he simply walked away from me and returned to the back room. It seems pretty obvious to me now why they keep Jim in the back since he doesn't know how to deal with customers or be professional at all. Also, he had signs on the door requiring anyone entering to wear a mask, meanwhile he and his staff inside were NOT. My recommendation is to go to Billows Electric Supply for your needs, as I will continue to do for now on. They treat ALL of their customers like 'GOOD' customers.
