I went to this place for about 2 years. I loved the general staff here. They were amazing. Very kind and personable. They made me feel safe and welcome, so I always took a handful of business cards; handing them out whenever I could. I never had a good interaction with P. Aking, however. Since the very first day I met her, she was very stand-offish. She would never answer any of my questions, giving vague word salad or just outright refusing to answer. I agree with another recent review here about R. Aking. You could use this description interchangably between the two with no difference: "Dr Rodd Aking is the worst. He is mean and dismissive and does not listen at all. He already knows everything, and nothing you do is right." Padma always made it a point to try and make me feel small. She would use the same manipulation techniques commonly used by abusers to try and keep me quiet and controlled. As a man with autism and authority issues, I would naturally always push back. This tension eventually culminated in an incident that happened 2 days ago, in which I suffered a panic attack during the height of my treatment. It seemed like a normal day, apart from the fact that there was a new "don't leave your chair" policy. The central air wasn't running (it has problems all the time) so I began to overheat. I ended up vomiting into the trash while waiting for staff to bring me a fan. Padma came in to observe. I asked her if this was normal. She gave a vague answer. I couldn't quite understand what she was saying due to her thick accent, and all I wanted was to be comforted after a horrible panic attack. She left without giving me a simple answer. While she was out, I got up out of my chair to get a hug from another patient. After she sat down in her chair, I sat down on the floor in front of said patient to keep talking, because I was still coming down from the panic attack. Padma came back in and demanded I sit back in my chair. I sat back down and gently explained that I understood it was for safety reasons, but I really just needed some help grounding myself. Due to dissociative amnesia, the details are fuzzy, but this reply resulted in yet another argument. I told her I couldn't keep arguing because the influence from the treatment was so strong. After staring at me silently, with a judgemental look on her face, for what seemed like minutes, she instructed one of the patients to tuck away her bag strap, as it's a trip hazard, before turning to walk out. Keep in mind, I am still HEAVILY influenced by spravato at this point, so I make an offhanded comment about her being unusually paranoid, speculating the possibility of a lawsuit. At that point, she turns back around and threatens to separate me from the group for "disturbing the others." Keep in mind, the other people in the room were in the middle of helping walk down my panic attack and were not at all disturbed by me. I said without thinking "it seems like the only person I'm disturbing is you." in a flat tone. It was not meant in a malicious way. I have a hard time with words and this lack of a filter has always been a problem for me, being on the spectrum. She then told me that I would have to talk to her in her office after the treatment and left. For the next 10 minutes, I tried and failed, to calm down from thinking about talking to Padma in her office. I couldn't handle the anxiety anymore, I was frustrated, I wanted to get it over with, so I walked into her office. Her door was open. She lied to me and said she was in a meeting or something(she was typing in a word processor and very clearly had time to talk,) and forced me out. I finished the session and went home without a single word from her. Today, at the very end of the buisness day, they called my roommate to tell him that I'm now banned from the clinic. They gave no warning, no explaination, no exit plan for treatment, nothing. This clinic is run by two manipulative and greedy people who will be incredibly pleasant to you as long as you ask no questions and pay their fees on time. If you have even the simplest question like "whats the difference between esKetamine and normal Ketamine," they will get offended and tell you to "just google it." DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had with this business. Despite my previous positive interactions and assistance, I encountered a significant setback when attempting to schedule an appointment through their messaging app. Upon contacting them via phone, I was informed that they had recently discontinued accepting my insurance plan. Consequently, I was required to pay the remaining balance out of pocket. This unexpected change in policy was not communicated to me in advance, leaving me in a difficult situation. I urge you to address this issue promptly. It is unacceptable that a business can abruptly change its policies without prior notice, leaving customers in financial hardship. I recommend that you intervene and negotiate with the business to reverse this decision. This would ensure that customers like myself are not burdened with additional expenses and that the business maintains its reputation for reliability and customer service. I feel so stupid for coming here without reading the reviews!! First appointment I was taken in almost an hour past my appointment time. Was in the office a total of almost two and a half hours. They could not take and EKG because I have metal implants and when I asked what other test could be run they had no idea. When it was time to get my blood drawn I was poked multiples times and the person drawing my blood clearly has very little experience- I have never had my blood drawn the way she did it, it was painful and left a lot of bruises. So at my follow up for all my labs- Guess what. The doctor doesn't come in to work! I was told thirty minutes past my appointment time- while in the room that he will not be coming in. I would give zero stars if I could. Dr Rodd Aking is the worst. He is mean and dismissive and does not listen at all. He already knows everything, and nothing you do is right. But that is not even the worst of it. During a telehealth appointment he literally told my husband "listen asshole, who do you think you are?" and proceeded to hang up on him. Horrible billing practices! I booked an appointment with Trinity Integrated Medicine as that was listed as a healthcare provider by Cigna, my insurance. I specifically mentioned this is a general checkup (the kind humans are supposed to do every year, you know?). Well guess what? Today I was issued a a dismissal of of PCP and given a 30 grace period to find a new one. After being ignore by the provider I was informed this. I've never felt more disrespected in my entire life and ignored when asking for referrals and medication for an infection. DO NOT COME HERE!! I was told three days in a row they would send my records and still have not and without them disability insurance can not process to review which means I have no income why they dick around !!!!!! After 90 minutes in the waiting room they decided they did not take my health coverage. When I asked if I could pay cash to have my bloop pressure prescription renewed they said it would be well over $200 dollars. Avoid these incompetent, uncaring greedy people at all costs. I haven't had much of a pro lem with Dr. Aking, seems nice and I was super excited to finally have a dr closer to my home. My problem lies with the front office staff. They're rude, and I've never experienced bad customer service at a Dr's office previous to this. I've been in twice the last year to have testing done for cancer and other things. I've brought money for my copay every time, which, previous visits at this office and with every other Dr's office I've been to, they took the copay while I was there. Now the last 2 they did not, I asked and the office staff would tell me, no you're fine! And then a few weeks ago I started getting calls, stating I owe $80-90 for previous visits. When I ask for an explanation, it's we don't know what your copay is when you're here. So then what were you taking from me previously? Another issue, prescription refills. I generally have to call the office, 3-4, sometimes more to get them to respond to the pharmacy. I have asthma medication I take daily. I can't wait 3-4 weeks for someone to finally give the go ahead. When I went in to get my results from my testing for breast cancer, I didn't get to see Dr. Aking. There was a woman, older woman. Came into the room with my bf there. Didn't ask me who he was or if I was ok with him in there and had barely shut the door when she turned around and started pulling my shirt up and trying to pull my bra up. I DO NOT recommend the psychiatry department, I had 2 appointments in a 2 week span and Dr. India could not get my prescription correct, the worst part is that I could not get anyone to call me back. I left serveral messages and no call back, I was left with no medication for a over one week. It was the worst experience ever. They honestly don't care about their patients. read more

I have had excellent care both in psychiatry and primary care. Both Drs. Aking took time with me to meet my needs and I did not feel rushed. They have offered telehealth appointments which have worked great and made getting care safe, available, and convenient. I highly recommend this practice. read more

Dr. Aking has a very clean office. His staff all seemed very friendly and knowledgeable in their jobs. I was a new patient and was seen on time. The Dr. had my information in his charting by the time he saw me. To me, this meant the staff was on the mark for him. Dr. Aking took the time to discuss my life quality and asked me questions that might not have seemed pertinent to non-medically trained person. That was his way to help diagnose my needs as a patient. He seemed thoroughly interested in my needs and wasn't in a rush to get me out of the office to get to his next patient. This review is for the psychiatric office of Trinity Adult Medicine. I really wanted to rate this practice higher but unfortunately my experience was unsatisfactory. I would like to preface and say that my rating for review is not entirely fault of the practice but actually partially my own fault as well so please consider when reading this review. The following will describe my personal situation, and how it was handled which will reflect the reasoning for the star rating I provided. I was referred to this practice for major depressive disorder and anxiety disorder. At the time I was completely new to mental health issues and these disorders were rather terrifying. Upon visiting the practice I was prescribed a combination of three psychotropic medications to help with my diagnosis. The positive outcome was that symptoms of the depression and anxiety were becoming more manageable. The negative outcome was that there was a great deal of side effects from the medications. I mentioned that one side effect that truly effected me was visual hallucinations(throughout the day I would see transparent geometric shapes moving in the foreground of my regular vision). I was told at an office visit that this is normal and would subside. Unfortunately these visions grew tremendously worse and affected my personal and work life. I fought arduously to cope with these side effects while battling issues from my depression and anxiety disorders as well. I was unable to drive and had to reschedule 3 appointments(I always ensured to call at least 24 hours before my appointment time.) On the third instance my ride to the office cancelled on me 20 minutes before my appointment. Due to this I was denied further medical support for my illnesses. I was truly devastated, as I had tremendous respect for the staff and doctors. I was an advocate for the practice and referred family there as well. I believe mental health is not something that is black and white, like their policy of dropping patients after 3 rescheduled appointments. Staying positive during this experience required prodigious mental strength and support. I would not want to imagine the outcome or actions of someone who might be in an even more weakened state. Please take this in consideration if you feel this is a scenario that could happen to you or a loved one. I'm providing 1 star since they did give me a name of another practice which I'm researching currently. read more

I've had it with the rudeness of the front office staff and especially the older Hispanic lady who works the front desk. Took my mom here a few days ago. Guess they didn't know I spoke Spanish and I overheard them making fun of a patient who seemed to be special needs. It is their job to be professional and keep patient info private and not the butt of a joke! I normally give people the benefit of the doubt but it's always something with this place and I do NOT recommend it to anyone. This is now almost May 2021. Dr Aking has new employees that actually CARE about the patients. When I call or go in, I am met with people who DO answer phones and DO care that I am there. The new staff are just as awesome as Doctor Aking himself. Without going into details, I want to say THANK YOU to Dr. Aking AND his current Staff. You really have saved my sanity (Thank you Esaid and Valerie). In 2020, I would have given this place a 1 star but I can see and feel that Dr Aking has truly turned this around and hired people who want what is best for US (the patient). When I am in the office, I feel so at ease and I know there is no other place I need to be for my physical or my mental health. This place is a one stop shop to where Dr Aking can speak with the psychiatrist to see if the medicine he wants to prescribe will be beneficial for ME. Dr. Aking has been my Primary Care Physician for 8 years. He is one of the most compassionate and caring people I know. My last visit I was in and out of his office in 30 minutes, 20 of which he spent with me. I am a stage IV cancer patient and a diabetic and Dr. Aking manages my meds and health care with the utmost care and professionalism! Terrible, terrible Dr. I can't believe this guy is in health care. I went to this man because I have crappy insurance and I had very few options to choose from. I expressed to this man that I have had stomach issues for a very long time and that I am becoming concerned. I also told him that another Dr that I had seen wanted me to get some tests done for MS. Dr. Aking sent me to a general surgeon and neither myself or the surgeon knew exactly why I was there. The surgeon wrote a letter to Dr. Aking expressing his concern about my stomach issues and Dr. Aking still has not sent me in for any testing. I called my other Dr who wanted me to get tested for MS but needed Dr. Aking to write the referral to a neurologist or to get an MRI. Dr. Aking STILL has not followed up on any of this. I have called him several times, days, weeks in a row and have talked to the office manager. She keeps saying that he is busy. I finally got him to get on the phone with me and he said he would look in to these 2 separate issues and get me a referral and send me in for testing. Two months later I still don't have either one of those and my problems persist. Even with a letter from the surgeon and all of my medical records being sent to him to review, he has made no effort to help me get better or to see what is going on. I try on a regular basis to get help from this office and it only falls upon deaf ears. He is awful! The front office is lazy and unprofessional as well. If you are looking for a good Dr, then keep on looking! The wait in the office took forever to be seen and when he finally gets in there he was more concerned about my tattoos than the actual reason why I was in there. I would like to file more complaints on this Dr because of all of this. He is absolutely pathetic! read more

Dr. Aking is very kind and interested in your welfare. However, getting cooperation from his staff for prescription refills, new prescriptions and returned calls is very difficult. When the pharmacy was questioning my insulin dosage, they could not get a call back from the doctor's office. It took several phone calls to get this resolved and i was down to my last few doses available. The pharmacy cancelled the script due to non response from the doctor. This is not the only script i have had troubles with. I would like to stay with the dr. but can't afford to be treated like this. his office is on Campbell now read more

i went there two times and saw his pa. his assistant told me they cant help me , so i left . i went back a few days later for a referral and they handed me a paper saying i am no longer allowed at the office because i walked out on the dr. first of all they told me they cant help me and that i cant get anything for sleep or my other conditions,. so i left and went home to find a new dr. i was so pissed when they handed me the paper saying i am no longer aloud there. their bedside manner is horrible. they make you wait for over a half hour to be seen, then if you are on medications they treat you like a drug addict . dont waste your time going to this office . read more
