Celebrated the husband's birthday here. Arrived early before our tour and enjoyed some drinks at the bar. The inside bar is a decent size and they have another bar outside with varying games to play (e.g., cornhole). The tour itself was casual, informative and fun! It was a hot day so when we went into the production spaces, it was almost unbearable. However, still totally worth it (which I think says a lot). At the end, you get to enjoy tastings in their stylish, air conditioned room. We even got to taste alcohol straight out of the barrel that hadn't gone through the aging process yet. Wow... talk about aggressive! Not my cup of tea but it was such a unique and neat tasting experience. The husband and friends who joined us had the best time. Purchased tour tickets for my bf's birthday. We arrived a few minutes early and were told they start the tour about 10 minutes after scheduled time. Ok... time for a drink before hand - we each ordered off the menu. Drinks are not bad - but not the most imaginative creations either. Trinity River Distillery is an up and coming Distillery located where the Bush's Ranch Style Beans Plant used to be. They have taken this space and created a beautiful event space and distillery. I went on their one year anniversary and they had a $13 special (which I think they may do often) and it got you two drinks, a glass, and a tour/tasting. The tour is pretty standard, but the tasting is obviously the best part. I was impressed to learn that they are Veteran owned and operated and are the only distillery in Texas to use local rain water. They have silos on site, on their roof, and around Fort Worth that collect all the rain water for them. Super sustainable and eco-friendly! They are currently aging a bourbon that should be ready by February/March and I am really excited for that! I enjoyed their vodka more than I would have expected since I am a whiskey girl. It had a smooth finish and didn't burn at all. The whiskey was pretty good and is corn based and they have a honey whiskey that I actually liked. I typically am not a fan of honey whiskey. I used my two drinks to get an Old Fashioned and then a Blueberry smash or something? I should have stuck with what I knew because the blueberry drink was far too sweet for my taste, but you fruit/sweet lovers would probably enjoy. The patio/outdoor area is the best part. They have an entire separate space dedicated for playing yard games and they have a ton of seating and an outdoor TV to watch whatever game is on! I will definitely come back and hang out sometime soon! read more

I wanted to find a fun tour for my boyfriend to go on after dragging him to wineries and breweries all the time and this was the perfect place. Yes the neighborhood around isn't the most welcoming up front but we never felt unsafe while there even when leaving later at night. It has a great bar area for when you are waiting for a tour or just want to hang out. The outside tables were great for talking and I loved that they had cornhole. No food so definitely make sure to eat before! The tour was short but informative. I don't know enough about whiskey but I felt like I understood the basics and loved being able to see how it is made. At the end they take you to a beautiful tap room to try the vodka, whiskey, and honey whiskey. The honey whiskey is the best for a non whiskey drinker. It went down smooth and I could definitely get in trouble drinking a lot of it! Our tour guide was relaxed and great at explaining the process. The world loves a good distillery. Bring it Fort Worth! Groupon offered a special and we decided to try it. The place is actually hard to find as it's unmarked and google maps takes us to a different area. When we visited they were severely understaffed and had a HUGE group for the tour. We filed to a few different rooms and learned a bit about the distillery process. I mean, I was never a Bill Nye kind of gal and I'm considered intellectually curious compared to the masses. For the most part, people were just ready for the tastings, especially since most of the rooms on the tour did not have air conditioning. When we got the tasting room it was obvious they were not ready. The poor guide had to scramble to pour tastings for about 70 people, three times. Yup it was three pours per person. Which is not very much sampling compared to other distilleries I've visited. He was really sweet about it though and had a great attitude. The space is decorated beautifully, from the furniture to the black and white photo drops. The tours could get a little too crowded and it would be good to have a more diverse tasting. Despite that, they are still fairly new and are doing a great job thus far. read more

My fiance and I came here for the 5pm tour on our date night and absolutely loved it! The tour is incredibly informative and our tour guide definitely kept everyone's attention with his candid humor and vast knowledge in the process. The tour came with a flight of shots to try of their latest batches. Everything was smooth, delicious, and clean. The distilled Texas rainwater makes a true difference and has easily made this now my favorite vodka and favorite whiskey. We got our tickets on Groupon with the two free whiskey glasses. Have never been here before so we decided to give it a try. After getting lost a couple times we finally found the place set back from the road. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised. Has a nice, chill, low key vibe with a cute bar to order drinks before the tour. Starting talking to some regular customers there and they told us about the mango habanero margarita. Was fantastic! Probably the best drink we have had in a year at least. The tour guide was informative and funny. After taking the tour and seeing the distillery we collected our free glasses and left. The liquors here are great and I love the setup, especially the outdoor area. I recommend taking the tour and getting to taste everything they offer. If you aren't able to schedule a tour, stop in for a cocktail made with their locally made liquors. We really enjoyed talking to and interacting with almost all of the employees and will plan to go back.* I do wish they were able to expand their hours. I often have people in town for work early in the week and would love to be able to take them to such a neat, local place. *One girl that worked the merchandise area when we were there definitely has an attitude that needs to go, but everyone else was so great - we were able to ignore it. read more

I don't like vodka, unfortunately theirs is no exception, I didn't think one way or another about their whiskey, then again I'm a bigger fan of rye and theirs is corn mash. Their bourbon though not ready yet was amazing, I can't wait until it's ready. However their honey whiskey was the star of the show in my opinion, I even picked up a bottle at the end. We were in the Fort Worth area and decided to take a pit stop here. First off, make sure you follow the sign when you pull into the area. There's a brewery and some other businesses in the area with a giant parking lot. The distillery is around the corner out of sight. The inside is nice, with couches to lounge on, tables to play games on, and a pool table. There's a giant outside area as well, with a cornhole game set up to play. The drinks are unique, but are kinda pricey. For 4 drinks, it was about $40. Being the source, I though for sure it would be a little cheaper. The whiskey is very smooth and tasty, but not sure if I'll make another trip back. read more

The tour and bar are kid-friendly, obviously have to be 21 to do the tasting or to drink, but our 9month old was with us and there were no issues. And Whiskey Jesus is the best tour guide. read more

We had a group of about 25 of us in Fort Worth on business. We decided this would be a fun excursion at the end of the day, and we couldn't have been more right! I'm not a whiskey guy, but this place was fantastic. The tour was great, it was informative, and the tasting at the end was amazing. After the tour, we hung around the bar they had for some more great drinks and fun times. I even bought some of the honey whiskey and vodka at the end. The one regret we had, since we had such a big group, and took up the entire tour, we really should have had a bunch of pizzas sent in for the party at the distillery after the tour. I bought a Groupon that gave me the cost of the Groupon in credit to use in the gift shop (I bought a great silver star work shirt) that said the tour was fun and informative. The neighborhood it's located in is a little sketchy but once your on the property it is very safe and rather luxurious in a Texas distillery kind of way. The whole staff was very welcoming. Our tour guide was smart and funny. The bar staff mixed a great old fashioned. There was a food vendor tucked into the back patio that was just ok, but better than nothing I guess. Overall I rate silver star distillery a solid 10 out of 10. Absolutely recommend you visit. It's not just great for tours it's a great place to chill and enjoy the excellent spirits offered at the silver star bar. read more

I had tried the honey whiskey at a friend's place and wanted to snag a bottle (or 4) for myself. When I had the chance to plan a date night with a new beau, this was my go-to. We went on a Thursday for the distillery tour that included a tasting of their vodka, whiskey and honey whiskey. Nathan was our guide, and while he is fairly new, he was awesome! It was a warm night and so there were not many people at the place so we had the tour to ourselves. Before and after we enjoyed a cocktail - try the reg whiskey with their coconut lime soda - mmmm yummy. We also hung out and threw bags (cornhole) for a bit. They have a really awesome bar/patio area with fireplace(s) that looks like it would be tons of fun in cooler weather. I definitely see us going back. read more

Tried to meet my friend on her birthday-some guy outside with a blue shirt wouldn't let us in. He said that they were about to kick everyone out for a concert. We called friends to ask because we were there an HOUR before it would have started. Bartender said that we couldn't get around paying the fee, but that they weren't going to kick anyone out and offered us free drinks. I don't appreciate the lack of communication with blue shirt staff and would not come back. I was planning on spending $100 on alcohol here and to gouge me for tickets is absurd. Myself and my friends will not be back and we will tell others. read more
