Waitress was attentive. Took drink order and got back quickly. Ended up ordering the chicken Marsala for dinner and mozzarella sticks for an app. Friend ordered the lasagna. The meal did come with a salad and 2 pieces of bread in a basket which was nice and they came out quickly. By this time the AC kicked in and it started to cool down a bit but would have been nice to walk into a refreshing place when outside is in the high 90's. The mozzarella sticks were good and came out hot. Dipping sauce was good as well. Meals came out pretty fast. My friend didn't care for the lasagna. Felt it didn't have enough meat in it. I ate part of my meal but did think it was a bit salty to my liking. Took the rest of my stuff home to later doctor it up and eat later. Portion sizes were good for the price. They do have several desserts and drinks but didn't look at them at that time. I've heard good things about this place and maybe I just did t pick the right meal for myself at the time. Oak City takes nothing for granted regarding the pizza, cold beer (at a great price) or their service. The staff were very friendly and the owner was really engaging. Since it was our first time there, she came out to our table to ask us how everything was and talked about how they got their start and a bit about their passion for making really great pizza. We have had excellent Neapolitan style pizza at some of the best places in the state and the metro, namely -- Andolini's in Tulsa on Cherry Street and the Wedge in midtown OKC, and neither of them have anything on Oak city. To start, the crust is tender and bubbly around the edges and has a great flavor. It looks exactly like the pictures on their web site and It's made from a 5 year old sour dough starter and is absolutely a perfect artisan style crust. The sauce has a mild, but distinctive tomato flavor that won't overpower the crust or the toppings. There is also no need to order extra cheese because the normal amount is plenty. We will definitely be back soon, and next time, we'll try the Detroit style pizza too -- along with the original. Do yourself a favor and try this place out soon. And by the way -- this is a legitimate review -- no 9ne asked me to write it, I just appreciate their product and effort.
