I got to the order area and heard a woman on the other end. I ordered the quarter pounder BLT with fries and a Diet Coke. For some reason, the woman thought that I wanted two combos. I said no, I never said the number two. One combo. One Mary. One stomach. One. I wasn't really annoyed, likely because it was a long day. I wanted a drink and food, and to check in to the hotel. When I got to the window, I was pleasant. She was, too. I paid with my debit card. I had not used it for 2.5 weeks. It felt familiar and a tad weird. Anyway, the transaction was fine. I got my food and my drink. All was great. I wished this woman a good evening and drove over to the hotel. After checking in and entering my hotel room, I plopped myself in front of the TV in the living room and chowed down. My drink was icy cold. It hit the spot. I needed it. My quarter pounder BLT was delicious at midnight. The tomato slices and lettuce were fresh. The cheese wasn't fully melted, but the burger was warm. I enjoyed it. My fries were a bit on the cold side. I felt like I could have got more of them. I ate them all. It's a good McDonald's for a late night bite.
