We drove for 30 minutes to buy dinner at Tripoli. We ordered two plates of lamb ribs and one plate of beef shawarma. Each plate came with rice, hummus, bread, and a tomato-cucumber-green pepper-onion salad. The lamb ribs were fall-off-the-bone soft and some of the best lamb you'll ever have anywhere period. I visited Tripoli Halal Meat and I'm so happy that I did! I'd been driving all the way to a Farmer's Market in Dekalb, iykyk, when I could've been shopping here! Well, now I know and this is where I'll be spending my money getting fresh cuts of meat for my family. I wanted rib eyes and I'd been checking the prices of several retailers. I checked that farmer's market, Publix and last I called Tripoli. Tripoli has the lowest prices so that's where I went. When I walked in I was greeted warmly by the little lady behind the counter. I asked for rib eyes but the owner Mahmoud Mohammed said that he'd be happy to process some for me as they were fresh out. I agreed. He was so polite and accommodating I looked around while I waited which was only 5-10 minutes. I also bought some roast turkey and turkey ham which I haven't been able to get anywhere here in Atlanta. My teenage son even took his face out of his phone and picked out some kabobs to make later. I called my mother as soon as I got home and told her about my great experience and she said she'll go check it out too. Very clean butcher shop . Owner is very professional and is fimiliar with different types of cuts and meats . I bought mutton and chicken . Chicken is very high quality . Everything is grass fed , no abx , no hormones and no soybean feed . Chicken are cage free / free range . Mutton is halal and grass fed which is almost impossible to find anywhere . I almost gave up on finding a clean halal organic butcher close by . The meat and food was amazing the store is so clean and spotless and the most important it smelled so good . They take pride of what they do . Service is amazing so helpful I probably asked 1000000 questions and they answered every single one . Yes it is pricey but you pay for clean meat and good eats . Hands down the best meat store I've ever been to. You always get service with a smile! The store is neat, clean and well organized. The store never has a stale smell like you see with some butcher shops. The selection of cuts is out of this world! A few Thanksgivings ago we opted out of the traditional turkey dinner and paid a visit to our friends at Tripoli. We ordered an assortment of lamp chops, steaks and pre-marinated kebabs. The meat was fresh and juicy as usual. Check them out on the weekends where they feature prepared foods. The ribs are smoked for 6-7 hours with the meat falling off the bone and literally melting in your mouth. If you have a large order call ahead so you don't have to wait and can get in and out. Very good quality meat, pleasant, helpful staff. Selection is somewhat limited, and very pricey. Since it is hard to get good cuts of lamb in the Atlanta area, this is my "go to" butcher for all things lamb. Next door is a nice middle eastern market, but items are somewhat limited, as they do not sell any fresh veggies. read more

By far one of the best halal meat stores I've been to. I've shopped in Texas as well and again, they have many other stores beat. Their meat is already cut & they have a wide range of cuts that I haven't seen at any other halal store. Went in to get some beef bacon and noticed it had doubled in price. I vocalized that it had gone up and the guy with the American Eagle hate started to go off about everything going up, yes I know I live in the world I don't need your rant. High-End organic meats at local grocery stores cannot touch his quality and prices. Please SUPPORT local businesses such as his even if it is a few minutes out of your way. Placed an order at 10:30 this morning and when I came to pick up the order at 2:24pm was told that he didn't write down the order and therefore doesn't know how to find it and it became increasingly clear that he never actually did anything with the order. How could he when he didn't write it down!!! The excuse was that he has a lot of orders that people haven't picked up yet....so don't you think you should write peoples names on the order??? We have moved a lot over the years and with every move we have to find a new business from which to buy halal meat. Nothing compares to Tripoli, I promise you. The cuts offered, the freshness of the meat, the additional products such as deli meats and preservative free chicken nuggets and patties. Not to mention the friendliness and attentiveness of the owner and his wife. Unfortunately we have moved out of state. Not only can we find no one with the cleanliness and caliber of Tripoli, but we can find NO ONE with deli meat. You'll realize that the hormones and whatever other stuff that is injected into animals makes them bigger and the difference is noticeable especially with the chicken. If you are a woman and you give your order to be picked up, watch out. The guy will sneak in old meat in your order. He did I it to me. I ordered a bulk and asked him to bag it in 2lb bags. When I got home I could clearly see the difference in some bags. I tossed it in the freezer thinking it shouldn't be too bad. I cooked a bag today and it almost taste like jerky. He is definitely not honest and will rip you off when he sees an opportunity. He lost me as a customers. If there was a zero star option I would give him that. read more
