The only detractor here is on rare occasion telephone customer service is obviously offshore (usually Philippines) and the accents are extremely difficult to understand. Now I have no prejudice about what country someone is from, but if their accent is so think I can't understand then, then that's a problem.

Even though chronologically we are decades apart in age, Melvin conversed with me about upcoming Mother's Day plans to what kind of case I wanted for the new phone (unfortunately this store was out of stock in the style that I wanted. What I found engaging about Melvin was that he didn't have to make any effort to talk, we could have both sat there in deafening silence while "things uploaded". Instead he made it enjoyable and therefore I will not only return to this store if I need assistance but also recommend this Verizon store to all of my friends.

His multitasking, critical thinking, and customer service were outstanding. He asked if I'd consider switching my home internet. I said no thank you, he explained the benefits, but then respected my decision. I was there to add another phone to my family plan, from a phone that was currently with T-Mobile. It was a fairly complicated process that I never would have been able to figure out on my own (the family member with the other phone was in Oakland, so we did everything over the phone). Johnathan kept at it, and was so patient when we had to wait for the phone to restart or software to download. While we were waiting he talked to me about my current plan, which was a pretty old one. He helped me find a new plan that will now cost $67 per month LESS than my old plan, even with this additional phone. Johnathan spent so much time with me, even though I'm sure he won't be earning commission on the transaction. He was very pleasant and patient, and got the new phone added to my plan. They checked on the transfer and they told me there was an error and the worker should've checked. The tmobile expert graciously helped me through it all.. taking off the 2 tablet lines I never got, transferred the metro # that took minutes because Andrea didn't check. the tmobile location at Tanforan is a third party & they will try there hardest to upsell you. My family has been coming here since it's been there. I remember I used to always come in as a kid…read moreand my family's plan is still active (although I have a diff plan still through Verizon). I dropped my mom off here to pickup her new phone that my sister bought and when I came back they were trying to upswell and charge her for all these things she didn't need. It was them taking advantage of an elderly woman who knows nothing about tech. My sister had been on the phone earlier with them and told them she just wanted the phone. When I came in they were charging for all these things and I asked what is this and their whole attitude changed quickly. They started removing charges and items which my mom kept saying she did not want. Of course my mom is old and doesn't understand quite what was going on making her frustrated. Also their attitude was not acceptable and the chubby guy has some other issues not sure what his problem is. The manager came back and fixed a lot of the problems. I ended up calling my sister again and she said it outright that they were taking advantage of my mom and told me before I came they had a completely different attitude. My advice just do things online do not come into store. My guess is business is not good in store so they try to take advantage when a senior comes in. We won't be coming back in store ever again here. That being said I can at least say that the manager changed his attitude and made things right at the end, maybe because he wanted to go home and all this was taking extra time past his shift.

I brought in my DualSense controllers to fix analog stick issues and paid $100 to repair three knobs. Just one week later, I had the exact same issue with one of the supposedly repaired sticks. When I brought it back, I was charged an additional $60 to fix what should have already been resolved. What's most frustrating is that I couldn't get a clear explanation as to why I was being charged again for the same issue. If a repair doesn't hold up after a week, that should fall under some kind of workmanship guarantee--not an additional charge. I want to continue supporting this business because I've had good experiences in the past, but this situation felt unfair and left me questioning the quality and accountability of the repairs.
