Among others, Adam came by to quote a price for a 200A upgrade to my home, and some cable home runs. He quoted the most competitive price, and ultimately I gave him the job. While he was there, I had some heating problems, and expanded the job to install outlets to support space heaters. Initially we had a few problems where he could not show up, because he was finishing another job. That was frustrating at the time, but can be part of the nature of construction. Sure, I get it, technicians need to balance upcoming scheduling needs against unplanned hiccups at the current job, so after a few days Adam split off a few of his journeyman electricians to get started on the work. Once they got started though, the team was great. They had to notch and fish lines throughout my building. They spread drop cloths wherever they worked, cleaned up whatever messes they made, and finished the job on schedule. All of my house mates were pleased with how considerate they were as they did what can usually be very noisy and messy work. I have had enough experience with contractors by this point to know a good one when I see one. Adam is a really friendly, soft spoken kind of guy, but he and his team do excellent work. On top of that, they are the among the cleanest contractors I have gotten to work with. "Why only four stars if you like him so much, Jon?" That is a good question, and I will answer it right now. Aloise Electric does great work. They are friendly, competent, and helpful, but their responsiveness leaves a some things to be desired. That is fair: they are a small team, so they can only answer so many calls and emails each day in between managing the electrical needs in your home. However if you are willing to be patient and respectful of their time and their team, they will be patient, and respectful of you and your home. I think that that is a pretty fair deal.

They must have blocked our phone because it went straight to voicemail after multiple attempts. I know because we used a different phone number that went through. No attempt by Aloise to explain no-show. No respect by anybody to pick up phone, although they have time to block callers. We called another electrician to handle our job that provided a much better quote than Aloise. Aloise is one of the unprofessional electricians out there. Be wary of their reviews. Others have had similar bad experiences. Don't cancel plans for Aloise. You'll be sitting and waiting for a no-show.
