My wife and I give Triton Stone & Granite of San Antonio a 5-star rating. All because of our saleswoman, Maritza. She made our experience selecting countertops the most enjoyable. She was considerate to our concerns on price point. She steered us away from costly selections, as per our request, and kept us where we wanted to be. Once we narrowed down our selections, she went out of her way to have slabs moved so that we could pick out which exact slabs we wished to purchase. Without us asking, she went so far as to bring out a faucet so that we could see what it would look like. She never rushed us and answered all of our questions. She made us feel like nothing else mattered and that we were the most important customers there. This place looks small from the front but they have a HUGE inventory of slabs in the back behind the showroom. It is a bit overwhelming. The showroom is a bit "busy", although they do have a lot of samples and items on display. When it's not busy, it is fun to look at the samples. The receptionist was kind to give us a cold bottle of water on our visit. There were a few employees outside in the slab area that checked up on me to see if I needed help but since I was browsing, I declined. On to the slab area-There are 3 areas. 1st is inside the HUGE white tent/canopy. On a hot summer day, you don't want to be in here for long. There are no fans or anything that would circulate air. Forklifts and the 10 ton crane are actively operating. There are some sample shelves off to the right on the west side about halfway down just past the entrance. The next area (2) is outside just past the halfway point on the west(right side) Finally, if you aren't tired yet, keep walking from area 2 all the way to the back and behind the white tent structure and around to the other side of the tent. Forklifts were and can be active so be careful and watch your steps outside. The areas aren't leveled. read more

Mixed feelings about Triton Stone. Our builder referred us to Triton and a competitor. After visiting both facilities, Triton wins hands down for physical layout, displays, choice, and variety of slabs. 5 stars for that. That's where the positive review ends. The staff is the main concern here. It begins with the curt, rude, and/or obviously disinterested icey greeting (including eye roll and walking away as I was speaking) at the check-in counter that we received at least twice on visiting. It continued with misinformed and/or undereducated staff in the back that had difficulty guiding us to a slab that met our desires or with staff who busied themselves with other customers/issues while helping us. It ended with them not being able to find the slabs that we had tagged only 4 weeks earlier, sending our fabricator and us on an emotional roller coaster. Triton does not stand alone in its substandard customer service. While its products are stellar, it appears that its reputation is built on and will continue to rely on referrals from custom home builders. read more

Buyers beware Never purchase from this stone yard. Home owners, builders, and any one else looking to buy granite slabs from this company beware. I have been holding my tongue since my incredible horrible experience with this granite yard but no longer. As a builder I sent my clients to triton and they reserved slabs , I paid in full for the slabs my clients reserved and then slabs that where about 30 sq feet smaller than what I paid for where delivered to my fabricator. After finding this out I called triton and was told that I would have to pay extra for the slabs. I told the lady on the phone that I paid for over 140 sq feet of granite and about 110 sq feet had been delivered to my fabricator. I was told basically to bad. At that time I told the lady one the phone that I would drive in from the hill country to resolve this. Upon arriving at triton I was greeted by the rudest most classless individual I have ever meet. I was told that I had to put on a mask to enter the showroom. At that time I politely told the lady I was disabled and exempt from the mask order. She told me that it did not matter I would have to wait outside in the heat. After waiting for about twenty minutes outside in the heat she came to the door and told me a manager would be with me soon and I replied that I would no longer wait outside and asked her if she was educated on the Americans with disability's act of 1990. She replied that she was fully aware and that the company's policy was to discriminate against the disabled. So to all home owners, builders and remodelers Beware Don't send your clients to Triton It's their company policy to discriminate against disabled individuals I was gunna let this go but have decided that it's in my best interest to file a civil lawsuit. read more

Bought a beautiful slab of granite, one of its kind. One of the priciest pieces in there entire inventory. Price to not be revealed to me, only to the builder. Annoying, but ok. Wouldn't have bought it if I knew how much it was. Bought marble accent pieces for a shower. When the order arrived, it was nothing like the sample. Very disappointing. I had no choice but to install what arrived. It was NOT what I had ordered. The lady helping us was very helpful. However, the store was not very organized, and items were hard to find. Pricey, and extra items ordered, unopened, not returnable. Major turnoff. Three stars because of store employee, at the moment of purchase, was good, and the materials were good quality. This place is a total screwup. Remodeling my childhood home in New Orleans and looking for a specific granite slab that's hard to find. I was told by the triton New Orleans store that the San Antonio location had 13 slabs so I made the trip from my primary residence in California to San Antonio only to find out that despite an appointment they weren't ready for me, I had to wait 30 minutes while they moved slabs around only to find out that they did not actually have two on hold for me and the only two that were remaining out of what I was told was 13 both had major cracks and fillers - what a major disappointment I would not recommend this place at all read more

After wandering around for maybe ten minutes, a salesperson named Andrea came out and greeted us. He body language told us she would rather be anywhere but outside. It was about 60' and sunny with a brisk wind. I asked for some direction in how to find a countertop that would fit our budget. She explained that the less expensive stuff is out by the street. I asked what the price difference would be between the different "levels" of granite and quartz. She said she wasn't allowed to answer that. I told her we would just like to look around. Eventually I went inside and asked for some clue as to how to pick out granite if we didn't know the prices. The young gal at the front counter explained it was Triton company policy not to tell the consumer their prices. I tried to ask another question but she got really ugly, interrupted me and basically kept repeating the "company motto". They're a wholesaler and only disclose pricing to contractors. I was trying to explain that I just needed a range, a ballpark, a ratio or some comparison so I could know that we were picking out a countertop we were willing to pay for. Eventually some short, older gray haired guy got up and came around the counter and reiterated that company policy was not to reveal pricing. I told him I didn't really need pricing, just a guesstimate as to what the basic cost difference between level 1 granite compared to level 3. He said he couldn't reveal that info. I said "even if it means I'm leaving to go to a competitor? He had no answer. I gave him and the receptionist one more try and they had no answers. We left. Frustrated. We ended up at M&J granite around the corner at 12010 Warfield Street. We met their front office staff and Michael (one of the owners we believe), he gave us a tour and understood our need for some clue as to how to make the purchase and understand the pricing process. Interestingly enough every piece of granite had a sticker on it identifying it as high priced, middle or low. We ended up selecting our granite from them. Triton was ridiculous! After dealing with so many other places, and never finding someone who had an eye for the specific design I was seeking, Tara identified the exact granite that would complement the room. They don't need your business. I spoke with 3 people, Jackie by far the coldest rudest person with that fake high pitched voice that says eat my poop. Edie just stuck her nose up at me. John was very nice, nobody had time for me so he showed me around, if he was representing the company I bet they're sales would go sky high. Once they fired the snobby help. Triton is a very large importer and wholesaler I'm sure they do just fine without my order, although my pick was a very expensive Quartzite and I needed 5 slabs. read more

We are nearing the end of our Kitchen remodel. It has been frustrating and difficult with so many issues that come up with remodeling. However, happy to say that Krista at Triton was a life saver. She kept up on all aspects and helped us with design and color ideas. She even kept up on stuff we would have forgotten about. Can't say how happy we are with the service thus far. I have been working with Nichole for several months. She has assisted me, not only with granite, but with tile, plumbing and hardware. She has been a fantastic. She has also tracked granite for me. I wanted a piece in a leathered finish and we weren't sure it would make it to the showroom by the time my installer needed it. Nichole watched the shipment and gave me updates. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I experienced while picking out my granite. Our fabricator sent me here to pick out the color of granite that I wanted and was never explained that I could pick my own slab or that the colors can be so different that have the same name. So I picked out a color and received something completely different than from what I thought I was ordering. read more

Great customer service for an almost clueless customer. I was given information, my questions were answered. Great selection of all kinds of stone. The gentlemen that helped me with picking granite also helped me a few days later pick out bathroom sinks. All of it was minimal stress. Coffee was offered, very helpful for an old nurse. read more
